Chapter 405: The Gap in Treatment

On the other side, Neymar was…

Well, Neymar was not unfortunate at all; in fact, things were a bit too good for her.

When she first opened her eyes, she was met by the worship of countless wizard scholars.

"Welcome, our Lord, to your arrival!"

In the Hall of Wisdom, Neymar had just awakened and sat on a blue throne.

The wizards in her gaze looked serious, each gazing at her with deep reverence.

Standing at the front was the ninth-level great wizard Narcissus, the mentor of all wizards.

Narcissus firmly believes that the key to success is precision, thoroughness, and attention to detail. This strict and stern mentor is a disaster for those apprentices who wish to become wizards, but the apprentices do not complain much about Narcissus’s strict training because they understand the value of working hard to avoid pain.

As the bearer of wisdom, Narcissus is also a mentor at the top wizard guild.

"Ahem…" Neymar thinks, "What on earth is this…?"

My task is to let the Church of Wisdom God take over Babington, and I… am the embodiment of the God of Wisdom?

"My Lord…" Narcissus cries with tears, "I knew My Lord would not abandon us. It is said that the gods signed an agreement, and here we have to determine our fate on our own; the gods will not interfere…"

"How could they know the greatness of My Lord? How could they know that My Lord is the embodiment of wisdom?"

"As long as My Lord wishes, there is no place My Lord cannot go."

"My Lord is willing to descend in a manifestation to guide us…"

"Waaahhhh…"

Narcissus cried out, "My lord, it is our fault. We could not assure a clear victory, which is why you had to come in person."

Jaina stood beside Neymar, also speechless.

She was a bit confused; how did Neymar get in? This is the divine being itself!

In this dungeon, Jaina could die—no, it would be fine if everyone from the Church of Wisdom God died—but the divine being must not be harmed!

"Well, you all get up first," Neymar said, taking a deep breath to keep herself calm.

This dungeon is too easy for me; are there others who can directly gain the trust of the whole faction?

"Yes!"

Narcissus stood up first, and the others slowly rose to listen to Neymar’s voice.

"Go gather all the information; I need to know," Neymar continued.

"Yes!" Narcissus waved his hand, and the other wizards lowered their heads and stepped back.

Narcissus took two steps forward, took out some papers, and respectfully placed them on the steps, too afraid to move closer.

Jaina saw this and waved her delicate hand, sending the papers in front of the two of them.

She had many questions to ask Neymar, but she knew that this was not the right time to speak.

Neymar glanced at the first paper.

Lord: Narcissus.

Heroes: Three eighth-tier wizards.

Ninth-tier troops: Three Storm Titans.

Eighth-tier troops: Eight Titans, eight Rakshasa Emperors.

Seventh-tier units: twelve giants, twelve Rakshasa kings, twelve lantern spirit elders…

Neymar was astonished; so many ninth-tier?

No, the ninth-tier units should correspond to ninth-tier followers, not ninth-tier warriors.

Only top-level eighth-tier can defeat ninth-tier followers, unless those followers have evolved in some way, like that sea monster gaining a bit of ‘hunger’ power.

The first page describes the units, the second page describes the town, and the third page is a strategic map of the entire area.

This map is magical; explored areas are white, unexplored areas are black mist, and areas that were explored but left without a scout’s eye are gray.

"Hmm, not far…" Neymar stroked her chin.

"My lord, why are you here?" Jaina whispered.

"I don’t know," Neymar whispered back. "There’s a voice inside me urging me to enter, and my instincts are also driving me here."

Neymar spoke so mysteriously, but Jaina not only didn’t doubt her, she looked at Neymar in surprise.

My lord, have you regained more strength and memories?

This is a big deal!

It seems that this dungeon is very important to my lord; it holds what my lord needs.

"What should we do now?" Jaina continued.

"Hold your ground; whoever strikes first will suffer," Neymar believed that Karoso would find out about her and would contact her.

……

Vereesa and Malfurion joined the Forest of Elves Church, where there is no distinction between elves and dark elves.

Or rather, the two races haven’t fallen out yet; each has become a Hunter Hero and a Druid Hero.

According to history, the Minaret believes in the Goddess of the Night, while the dark elf here opposes the Goddess of the Night.

It is clear that something important must have happened, causing the dark elf to betray the Forest of Elves, or the dark elf was expelled and, with no choice, had to seek refuge with the Goddess of the Night.

Next, we look at Babington, also known as Dawn City.

Norman, Pastor Anduin of the Church of Dawn Goddess, Varian from the Flame War God Church, and Uther, the knight of Lionheart, all joined Norman.

Karoso, Neymar, Jaina, and the two elves’ mission is to capture the city of the Church of the Goddess of the Night, while the task of these four is to protect this city.

In the meeting hall of Babington, the ninth-level lord Gabriel quietly watched the few people in front of him.

"You came from outside to help me, but… why do I sense something strange within each of you?" Gabriel scanned the group, "Varian, you carry a scent of flame; I know this smell well, it is the scent of the Flame War God."

At this, Gabriel’s expression turned cold.

"I am indeed a follower of the Flame War God," Varian stated firmly.

Swipe!

Gabriel decisively stood up and drew his sword, pointing it across Varian’s neck, "Are you one of the Flame War God Church?"

His voice was cold and filled with killing intent; it was clear that the relationship between the two gods was not good.

Varian’s hand rested on the hilt of his sword.

Even though the enemy was a ninth-level warrior, those from the Flame War God Church were all hot-headed and had fearless courage.

"Ahem…" Norman quickly tried to smooth things over, "In this world, there are no permanent enemies and no permanent friends, only permanent interests."

"Although we come from different factions, our goal is the same: to help the Church of the Goddess of the Night through this difficult time."

"Do you think we are facing a crisis?" Gabriel scoffed, "Those lords eyeing this city are no match for us."

"My forces are double that of any one of them!"

"But if they join together, won’t their army be one and a half times ours?" The naive Uther scratched his head. "And they have three ninth-level lords, don’t they?"

Gabriel fell silent; this was the reason he hadn’t directly attacked Varian.
