Chapter 222 Part 2: Ten Commandments of God, Xie Qingxuan’s Blessing, Two-Star Red Wine (2)

The Pure White Witch did some self-hypnosis and finally defeated the angel in her heart. She quietly moved to the edge of the bed, trying hard to make no sound and escape her room to carry out a change of location tactic to sleep on Xie Qingxuan’s bed.

Unfortunately, at the moment her toes touched the slippers, a small hand pulled her bathrobe tightly. Because the elastic band was not adjusted well, the robe almost slipped down, revealing the girl’s fair shoulder, beautiful shoulder blade, and tender spine.

Chu Yuanqing instinctively covered her chest, her expression stiff as she looked back and saw those innocent and confused eyes. Feeling both guilty and awkward, she tried to stay calm and asked:

"Um, are you awake?"

Xie Qingxuan’s eyes were hazy with sleep. She nodded obediently and asked, feeling both sleepy and silly:

"Little Qing came back really late today. Was there anything fun outside?"

Chu Yuanqing’s conscience took a heavy blow. It felt as if she were facing her wife who was asking why she came home so late. Ashamed, she lowered her head, forgetting to cover her chest. Her bathrobe slipped down along her milky skin, revealing her simple and lovely undergarments.

The golden retriever stared intently at the scene. The sleepiness in her eyes gradually faded, as if she remembered why she wanted to snuggle into Honey Qing’s bed. She clingingly hugged the Pure White Witch’s waist, completely ruining any escape plans her companion had.

Chu Yuanqing gave up struggling. She could only weakly warn:

"Just to be clear, you are not allowed to do those things this time!"

After saying that, the Pure White Witch asked in confusion:

"Also, Qingxuan, when did you come into my room?"

Although her mental state was very poor and she struggled to concentrate, making her slower than ordinary people, having the lantern by her side made it clear to her that these little idols, who were reserves for witches, did not have any conditions for an "ambush."

The golden retriever should have been able to notice when it crawled into the blanket early.

Xie Qingxuan half-closed her eyes, her face resting on a smooth shoulder, her nose twitching like a puppy’s, sniffing the scent on Chu Yuanqing. After confirming there was no trace of another woman’s fragrance, she said:

"I was waiting in Little Qing’s bed after my shower, and I vaguely heard you taking a shower earlier."

The girl slightly tilted her head, a few sparkling platinum strands falling on Chu Yuanqing’s chest. Her beautiful face was calm as she softly said:

"Little Qing is strange, isn’t she? Why didn’t she notice me?"

Xie Qingxuan showed no intention of hiding anything and spoke words full of meaning:

"Because I have superpowers now."

Chu Yuanqing was taken aback by this.

If Qingxuan awakens the blessing, then it makes sense.

So… she and Miyuki are in a similar situation?

Little Sakura can revive the "Tempering of the Heart" from the main world line because she sacrificed her soul when she forged Levatin, and she never had the chance to pass on her blessing.

Xie Qingxuan awakening the blessing can only mean one of two things: either she is in an extreme situation where she cannot inherit the blessing, or she refused to inherit the blessing out of some concern, which allowed her to slowly regain some remnants of the main world line after her memories began to revive.

Chu Yuanqing completely forgot that her robe was taken off; she turned to the golden-haired dog and asked seriously,

"Can you tell me what kind of superpower it is?"

Xie Qingxuan thought for a moment, feeling a bit troubled, and hesitantly said,

"It’s hard to explain; it seems like it controls presence?"

Chu Yuanqing understood after a little while and came to a conclusion:

"Presence? Is it the kind Akari has?"

Akari, she learned this term from Liuli, which basically means low presence.

If Qingxuan could control her presence, then avoiding the lantern and her own awareness would be a natural thing to do, after all, she is not a disaster beast that cannot touch the fighting instinct within the soul.

However, if you think about it for a moment, it’s clear that this is just the most superficial form of the blessing related to existence; digging deeper, it becomes very problematic.

The key point is that the more problematic the blessing, the more expensive the cost.

The "Tempering of the Heart" is a type of blessing that is relatively easier to control; the cost can vary from light to heavy, with the minimum being the consumption of physical and mental energy, and the maximum being the sacrifice of soul, faith, emotions, or flesh, but it still cannot be said to be completely safe.

Chu Yuanqing could not remember Xie Qingxuan at all; she only felt that the other person was very familiar and warm, yet she could not uncover any other clues, including the true nature of the blessing and its cost.

In other words, the extent of using a blessing could not be grasped at all, which is extremely dangerous!

Chu Yuanqing’s small face was serious as she earnestly warned:

"Qingxuan, in the future, unless it’s absolutely necessary, you must not use this ability. There is a cost to using it."

Xie Qingxuan listened and nodded obediently.

"Okay, then I won’t use it anymore."

Chu Yuanqing watched the golden retriever being so obedient and felt very pleased.

But soon after, she noticed that a small bag suddenly appeared in Xie Qingxuan’s arms?

Pure White Witch felt something was off and asked in confusion:

"Qingxuan, why did you make its presence so low?"

Hearing this, Xie Qingxuan realized something. She opened the zipper of the bag and said seriously:

"To prevent Little Shu from seeing it, when I went out, I lowered my presence and everything I had on me. I lay down on Little Qing’s bed and was really tired, so I forgot about it."

Chu Yuanqing had just wanted to praise the clever and cautious golden retriever when her gaze drifted to the open seam of her bag. Her expression became confused, her pupils shook, and her brain started to tremble.

Xie Qingxuan pulled out a 250-milliliter bottle of grape-flavored lubricant and then took out a small box with an unknown purpose, showing a hand on the cover. Before Pure White Witch could collect herself, a remote control and some mysterious items that looked like Lantern Gems appeared on the bed.

The girl looked innocently at the other person. She pushed the remote control in front of Chu Yuanqing, as if expecting her owner to play frisbee like a dog. Her pretty lips moved, full of hope, saying:

"Little Qing, take this, use it on me."

Chu Yuanqing was confused for a moment. As someone who had been squeezed by capitalism and hardly used the internet, she could somewhat understand the small bottle and the little box, but she had no idea what the remote control was for.

The girl silly took it and tried pressing the switch. She saw the small things start to vibrate and roll, looking just like how she would wildly eat up willpower with her lantern.

Wait, could it be that kind of thing?!

Pure White Witch shook her head like a rattle drum. She stiffened her little face and firmly replied:

"No way, this has nothing to do with magic restoration!"

Xie Qingxuan carefully analyzed:

"Little Qing can use just this remote control to speed up the magic recovery. It used to take 10 minutes, but now it might only take 5."

As the girl spoke, a mist of water spread in her eyes, filled with greater hope:

"If Little Qing wants to use nothing at all, that’s fine too."

"No matter what, I will like it."

Chu Yuanqing felt stuck, unsure of what to do. Her brain, burned out from thinking, was caught in a confusing loop. Not using the remote meant using her hands and kisses, wasn’t that even worse?

Besides, being able to use the other two things would save time, while reducing body contact, which seemed… better than before?

The Pure White Witch’s mind was racing, and her ears turned red. She quietly held the remote, saying nothing, as if she were wandering between heaven and hell, her thoughts filled with Charlotte’s singing, Little Sakura’s paper cranes, and Liuli’s swan necklace, making her feel dizzy.

Xie Qingxuan successfully carried out her plan, not getting Little Qing into any naughty activities, but instead making Little Qing feel shy about herself. She knew that the Pure White Witch’s silence meant she was entangled in thoughts, so she simply turned off the night light, lifted the blanket, and covered both of them.

After that, the extra things were thrown back into the bag and dropped onto the ground along with the fabric.

Chu Yuanqing returned to the Christmas night market, breathing in the evening breeze of Vienna, watching the heavier snowflakes fall than last time, guided by Xie Qingxuan to the familiar little shop, still without the owner, with the same familiar materials.

This time, the red wine seemed different; it seemed to reflect the taster’s mood, changing from a strong fruity flavor similar to champagne, which felt a bit childish, to the wine from Château Latour, rich and complex in aroma, as if mixed with black mulberries, cedar, and minerals.

Even without much roasting, it is still a delicious treat.

Of course, on such a cold day, hot red wine remains the travelers’ top choice.

Chu Yuanqing’s technique was more skilled now, and as she added fruits and spices, she used more modern methods, using precise tools to mash the red wine and ingredients, while the shop’s music shifted from a soft deep tone to lively and cheerful, like jazz paired with a waltz.

Xie Qingxuan’s taste was different from hers, so there was no need for close guidance; thus, while making hot red wine, she chose a red wine brand from Daxia, with notes of cherry, floral scents, vanilla, and roasted complex aromas, elegant and delicate in style.

Even the tannins had a clear difference; the former was tight and strong, while the latter was mature and elegant.

Of course, what really set them apart was the unique method of adding a lot of petals, compared to Xie Qingxuan’s still conservative old-fashioned mixing.

Although precise tools often last longer and can quickly control the temperature of the wine, the fragrance of the ingredients, and the art of blending, stirring by hand has a great advantage of freely controlling the rhythm with experience and intuition.

As two steaming, fragrant, and very different wine soups were served, the evening breeze in Vienna grew more vibrant. The two no longer waited and decided to taste with their tongues to determine the final outcome.

After a long time, everything settled down.

On Chu Yuanqing’s lovely face, a look of dreamy confusion appeared. Her golden eyes were hazy, as if she were tipsy, slowly closing them and taking a fuzzy little nap, letting the paper crane jar in the depths of her soul shine brightly in the flowing magic.
