Chapter 319: Alchemical Recipes

"Additionally, if you need any spiritual plants, just inform the other disciples through Transmission like before! They will bring them to you!"

After Deacon Gong explained everything in detail, he prepared to leave.

However, Ji Yang called out to Deacon Gong and said a little shyly,

"Excuse me, Deacon Gong, as I have just entered the Alchemy Peak, I don’t know much about the recipes. Where can I obtain other recipes in our Alchemy Peak?"

"I see, that’s a minor issue! Our Alchemy Peak has a Recipe Pavilion, where many recipes collected by the disciples are stored. You can go check it out whenever you need!"

"Are there any requirements?"

Ji Yang asked again.

"Other disciples do need to meet certain requirements to access the recipes, but you don’t need to worry about that. Just show the guard disciple this identity token!"

With that, Deacon Gong handed him a pure silver identity token, which bore the emblem of the Alchemy Peak.

"Be sure to keep this token safe! Only about ten people have this kind of token in our Alchemy Peak, so remember well!"

Ji Yang nodded in acknowledgment as he took the identity token.

Once the group departed, Ji Yang looked around at the quiet environment and the elegant loft he was in, then he headed straight for the Recipe Pavilion that Deacon Gong had just pointed out!

Although there was a knowledgeable middle-aged man in the fixed-point object, he was still a cultivator from Ancient Times. While he knew a lot, the changing world meant that many recipes from back then were no longer suitable for today’s alchemists.

Many of the spiritual plants recorded in those recipes had long since disappeared from history. Therefore, even if this middle-aged man shared many high-level pill recipes with Ji Yang, he would be unable to refine them.

The recipes in the Recipe Pavilion were certainly more relevant to the current Cultivation World, and with the abundance of spiritual plants within Alchemy Peak, the chances of finding what he needed would be much greater.

The Recipe Pavilion was located between the mountain’s interior and the peak.

Following the path, Ji Yang quickly arrived at the entrance of the Recipe Pavilion.

What greeted him was a small yet intricately built loft.

While the Heaven Demon Sect was a top-tier sect, this facility clearly did not match the sect’s overall style.

However, this was evident from the current situation of Alchemy Peak; the Heaven Demon Sect lacked talented alchemists, or they wouldn’t need to recruit disciples from outside.

The Recipe Pavilion was unguarded, but it had protective Formations. Other disciples needed to pay a certain amount of sect contribution points to enter, but Ji Yang could pass freely upon showing his identity token.

Entering the Recipe Pavilion, Ji Yang saw countless bamboo slips, no doubt containing various alchemical recipes collected by the Alchemy Peak.

These were divided into low-level, mid-level, and high-level recipes. The low-level and mid-level recipes took up three-quarters of the space, while high-level recipes were relatively scarce.

Without hesitation, Ji Yang headed straight for the area of high-level recipes.

To earn cultivation points from alchemy, he needed high-level pills; the other recipes were of little use to him.

Ji Yang picked up the bamboo slips and began to read through them one by one!

They recorded various high-level pill recipes, such as the Cultivating Infant Pill, Revitalizing Spirit Pill, and Returning Void Pill, among many others!

Ji Yang even found the recipe for the Dropping Dew Pill within them.

Although there were many recipes, the corresponding spiritual plants needed to refine these pills varied. As Ji Yang flipped through a few recipes, he quickly discovered some rare spiritual plants, which were difficult to cultivate and could not be mass-produced.

Ji Yang immediately excluded this recipe from consideration.

The inability to cultivate meant that Alchemy Peak likely had very few or even none of those plants.

What Ji Yang needed were recipes like the Dropping Dew Pill, which had a large quantity available; other factors were not important to him.

Before long, Ji Yang selected a few recipes he required from the Recipe Pavilion.

These recipes included the Returning Void Pill, the Stabilizing Spirit Pill, and the Transcending Calamity Pill.

The first one is a pill that helps cultivators enhance their magic power and provides some boost to those at the Void Refinement stage. The latter two serve different purposes: one replenishes a cultivator’s magic power while the other stabilizes their primordial spirits.

All three are high-level pills, and the spiritual plants required to refine them are relatively easy to find, making the refinement process not too difficult.

This was also why Ji Yang chose these three recipes.

After finding the suitable recipes, Ji Yang didn’t hesitate and copied them down.

However, the bamboo slips used for recording the recipes are not allowed to be taken out of the Recipe Pavilion.

After documenting the three recipes, Ji Yang aimed for a long-term solution and copied down other high-level recipes as well to ensure he wouldn’t be without options after refining the three pills.

Having completed all of this, Ji Yang promptly left the Recipe Pavilion.

Time was tight, and he held a weighty responsibility; dangers still lurked within the Heaven Demon Sect. He needed to quickly accumulate some cultivation points before returning to the sect.

With the identity token in hand, Ji Yang faced no obstacles when coming and going.

Soon, he returned to the Alchemy Room at the peak.

Ji Yang then began to use Transmission to ask the disciple in charge of the spiritual plants to bring the necessary alchemical materials.

This time, Ji Yang did not hold back; for each of the three main recipes, he requested fifty of each corresponding spiritual plant!

The moment the message was sent, a disciple responsible for planting spiritual plants in another part of the Alchemy Peak received the news.

Seeing such a high demand for spiritual plants, the disciple was momentarily stunned and then showed an angry expression.

However, when he noticed that the transmission came from the Alchemy Room at the peak, the disciple’s face quickly returned to normal.

That’s fine then.

As this disciple prepared the spiritual plants, he reported the news to the deacon who oversaw the spiritual plant area.

Upon seeing such enormous demand, the deacon immediately started inquiring about it.

Upon learning that the person refining the pills was the newly arrived Feng Yu, the deacon quickly gathered more information and ultimately concluded that there was no need for concern.

This person was not only recommended by an elder but also had the backing of several deacons, plus verbal assurance from the Deputy Peak Master, so it was certainly not an issue.

However, the news that Ji Yang had just entered the Alchemy Peak and started seclusion to refine pills spread throughout the Alchemy Peak.

Moreover, the amount of materials he needed was several times that of previous requests, making other disciples gasp in awe upon hearing it.

Some disciples seethed with anger.

Each month, the disciples at Alchemy Peak have certain assessment standards, but many barely meet the requirements.

Now, with this person refining pills at such a rapid pace, didn’t it make them look useless?

If the deacons above found out, who knew if they would increase the monthly assessment requirements?

"This guy is truly awful!"
