Chapter 348: Return to the Sect

Before reaching the entrance, Ji Yang remembered that he did not look like his true self.

He took out the immobilizing mirror, and his form began to change.

In no time, his familiar appearance appeared in the fixed-point object.

However, Ji Yang soon felt something was off, and his cultivation level rapidly decreased!

From Late Spirit Transformation, it quickly dropped to the Initial Stage of Foundation Establishment!

He remembered that this was the realm he was in when he left, right?

But after thinking for a moment, Ji Yang slowly raised his realm one level, revealing that he was at the mid Foundation Establishment stage.

He had been gone for so long; it was entirely reasonable to advance by one small level!

“Stop! Who are you?”

Before Ji Yang could approach the He Dao Sect’s entrance, countless cultivators surrounded the spiritual boat, blocking his way.

These cultivators looked wary but did not rush to act, as if they were waiting for someone’s arrival.

Nearby, some inner disciples also gathered after hearing the news.

Just as Ji Yang was about to reveal his identity, a figure quickly flew in from the distance.

From the clothes, it was an elder of the sect!

However, when Ji Yang focused his gaze, he was taken aback; it was someone he knew!

“Elder Liu?”

“Ji Yang?”

Seeing Ji Yang outside the spiritual boat, Elder Liu was momentarily startled.

He had just received word from the sect that a spiritual boat from the Heaven Demon Sect was flying toward the He Dao Sect. To prevent any accidents, the sect had specifically sent him over to check it out.

From a distance, Elder Liu had already spotted Ji Yang’s spiritual boat.

As he pondered about who was bold enough to approach, he saw Ji Yang stepping out of the boat!

Noticing that the other cultivators were still gathered around, Elder Liu waved his hand:

“Alright, disperse!”

Many disciples, hearing the conversation between the two, recognized this familiar name. One of the onlookers immediately left, shouting:

“It’s bad news! Senior Brother Ji from Jingtan Peak is back! Quick, go tell the other junior brothers!”

“Hmm?”

Hearing the commotion from the inner disciple, Ji Yang looked puzzled.

No matter how he considered himself, as a talent of the sect and a leader of the righteous path, he expected some sort of warm welcome, not this kind of outcome!

At this moment, Elder Liu smiled and said:

“It’s good that you’re back, very good!”

Elder Liu did not feel surprised at the reactions of the other disciples at all.

While Ji Yang was away for these few months, the He Dao Sect was sailing smoothly. The mines did not collapse, the spiritual herb garden did not explode, and there were many more fish in Tianxing Lake.

The sect was harmonious, with teachers, friends, and disciples all getting along well.

No disciples came to ask Senior Brother for a sword.

However, this peaceful scene would not last long!

Thinking about this, Elder Liu looked nostalgically at the currently harmonious and calm sect.

“Elder Liu, has my Master returned?”

At this moment, Ji Yang asked.

“He returned long ago; Peak Master Ye has been back for several months!”

“Then I will return to the Peak first!”

Ji Yang responded joyfully.

“Ji Yang, is there anyone else in your spiritual boat?”

“Indeed, this is a captive I brought back from the Heaven Demon Sect. This trip for the sect’s training was very perilous, and I can’t explain it all in a short time. How about I report to the sect after I meet Master?”

“That sounds excellent!”

Elder Liu smiled and nodded in agreement.

Could he say no?

Looking at Ji Yang, he felt that the young man was quite filial. Peak Master Ye must feel very pleased to have such a disciple!

Unfortunately, Elder Liu had too many duties within the sect and little time; otherwise, he would have wanted to take on a disciple.

However, he quickly ruled out Ji Yang as a potential disciple, worried that his own strength was not enough to handle the trouble his disciple might cause.

Ji Yang sailed his spiritual boat across the sect, heading straight to Jingtan Peak.

At this moment, Ren Yuning’s voice came from behind again:

“Junior Brother, where are you?”

When Ji Yang first arrived, he had used the primordial spirit secret techniques to isolate the sounds inside and outside the spiritual boat, which meant Ren Yuning was unaware of what had happened outside.

Now, Ren Yuning could no longer stay put and walked out of her room to inquire.

When she stepped out and looked around, a hint of surprise appeared in her eyes:

“Is this the He Dao Sect?”

“Indeed,” Ji Yang turned to look.

The surprise on Ren Yuning’s face quickly faded when she saw Ji Yang’s appearance, replaced by anger as she drew a magic treasure from her hand!

“Ji Yang? Is that you? Where’s Feng Yu? Where did he go?”

Ren Yuning looked around but could not find Feng Yu.

“Senior Sister, what are you saying! Am I not Feng Yu?”

Ji Yang replied in his earlier voice.

This scene instantly made Ren Yuning understand the reason behind it.

Feng Yu is Ji Yang!

Ji Yang is Feng Yu!

Ren Yuning quickly took out a messaging talisman, wanting to confirm this.

But Ji Yang just smiled and said:

“Senior Sister, don’t bother; I altered your messaging talisman a long time ago!”

Upon hearing this, a chill spread through Ren Yuning’s heart.

Especially when she thought about how Ji Yang had deceived her for so long, a wave of anger filled her heart, and she shouted:

“Ji Yang, I’m going to fight you!”

However, as soon as she spoke, a feeling of confinement enveloped her body.

Then, a wave of dizziness hit the back of her head.

Turning her head, she could faintly see the iron pick in Ji Yang’s hand.

So that was how she got dizzy last time!

A final thought flashed through Ren Yuning’s mind before she fell to the ground again!

Seeing that he had successfully dealt with Ren Yuning, Ji Yang no longer worried and increased his speed towards Jingtan Peak.

He wondered how his spiritual plants were doing and how the last batch of spiritual grains had fared.

Filled with anticipation, Ji Yang soon saw the familiar sight of Jingtan Peak.

The first thing that caught his eye was a sea of grains.

The three-colored spiritual grains were neatly planted in the spiritual field he had opened up.

At the peak, two wooden houses stood side by side!

Seeing the remaining two wooden houses, Ji Yang seemed to recall something, and a hint of worry appeared on his face.

Without hesitation, Ji Yang steered his spiritual boat towards the bottom of the peak!

He felt it was necessary to gather information first.

Arriving at the bottom of the peak, what lay before him was still the ever-present spiritual fields!

Ji Yang approached the spiritual field and discovered that this was a new batch of spiritual grains, but the light points were, of course, gone.

Upon reflection, this made sense; he had been away from Jingtan Peak for several months. If it depended solely on the grains he had planted before leaving, Little Black and Little White would have starved long ago.

While surveying with his gaze, Ji Yang did not see the two beasts.

This made Ji Yang suspect they were slacking off; it seemed that when he returned this time, he would need to conduct another round of motivational talks with them.

However, for now, he thought it was better to find the two beasts and ask about the situation first.
