Chapter 357: This is the True Dragon

Soon, the disciples saw a figure descending gracefully from the wind, flying toward them.

His appearance was handsome and his demeanor exceptional; although his cultivation level was not very high, he exuded an aura as deep as the ocean.

This caused all the disciples present to focus intently.

“Senior Brother Ji!”

“This is Senior Brother Ji!”

A disciple exclaimed from the crowd.

Having seen Ji Yang when he was punished in Feng Ling Valley, he recognized him at first glance.

Moreover, there were only two people at Jingtan Peak, and the visitor was clearly not Peak Master Ye!

Other disciples also cast admiring glances at Ji Yang.

Although the scenery at Jingtan Peak wasn’t impressive, it was still wonderful to see Senior Brother Ji up close.

Furthermore, Senior Brother Ji had been very prominent in the sect recently; just the other day, he cut some outer disciples into the inner sect with one sword, which made many disciples admire him. If they were lucky enough, perhaps they would even have a chance to experience a sword strike!

“Disciple greets Senior Brother Ji!”

“Good to see you, Senior Brother Ji!”

As Ji Yang approached, many disciples respectfully bowed!

Seeing more than a dozen disciples come forward, Ji Yang was somewhat surprised. The Cultivation World had storage bags; Elder Tai could easily send a disciple to deliver things.

Before Ji Yang could ask, a Foundation Establishment stage disciple cupped his fists and spoke:

“Senior Brother Ji, I am here on Elder Tai’s orders to deliver some items that you need.”

Saying this, the disciple presented a storage bag with both hands.

Ji Yang took the storage bag and discovered it contained a significant amount of wood, and it was not ordinary wood, but the unique aromatic agarwood found in the Cultivation World!

This type of wood was relatively rare in the Cultivation World, mainly used as a primary material for magical artifacts, but some high-level cultivators also used it to build houses.

Houses built with this wood not only repel spiritual insects but also carry a special aroma, providing protection against ordinary attacks, making it a favorite among many high-level cultivators.

There was plenty of this aromatic agarwood in the storage bag.

It wasn’t just enough to build two wooden houses; there was more than enough for several.

“Please thank Elder Tai for me!”

Ji Yang smiled and cupped his fists.

The many disciples were surprised to see this, as in the sect, they often spoke of Senior Brother Ji with an arrogant attitude, seemingly looking down on other brothers in the sect, and even daring to act against the elder officials. They hadn’t expected that in reality, he would be so polite.

Just as Ji Yang turned to head back to the peak, the leading disciple spoke again:

“Senior Brother Ji, is there anything we can help with at the peak? I am obliged to assist.”

Hearing this disciple’s inquiry and noticing that the other disciples showed no signs of leaving, Ji Yang understood.

This was likely Elder Tai’s instruction; otherwise, why would he send so many disciples?

Ji Yang fell into thought; he could dismantle a wooden house, but building one was something he wasn’t very skilled at.

Moreover, he had not yet had the chance to plant the spiritual grains on the entire mountain, and time was not very abundant! It would be convenient to have these disciples help out. After all, if his junior brothers were willing to help, he would gladly accept.

With this thought in mind, Ji Yang nodded:

“Just in time, we need to build a few wooden houses at the peak, so I’ll trouble you brothers.”

“Senior Brother Ji, you are too polite!”

Once everyone agreed, Ji Yang led the numerous disciples toward the peak.

The reason they were not flying was that some of these disciples were still at the Qi Refinement stage.

Although the surroundings were empty and lacked spectacular scenery, many disciples entering Jingtan Peak for the first time felt a rush of excitement.

This was Jingtan Peak!

Let alone outer disciples, even inner disciples had only ever gazed at it from a distance; they had never explored the peak itself.

Even if they couldn’t gain experience on this trip, simply being able to visit would give them bragging rights among their peers in the same realm.

The group followed a narrow path up from the base of the peak. As the main road of Jingtan Peak, this pathway was neither smooth nor maintained like those of other peaks, causing the novelty in many disciples’ eyes to gradually fade.

It seemed they had overestimated Jingtan Peak; this peak fell far short compared to the others, lacking much to compare.

Along the way, the Clear Pond caught the attention of many disciples, who cast curious glances.

Some disciples speculated that perhaps there were unusual spiritual beasts living in it, while others guessed it might be a spirit spring.

However, as everyone approached, they looked out and saw only a few young fish swimming around in the pond.

It was not a spirit spring, and the fish were not spiritual fish—just finger-sized fry.

Given the calm water, it was evident that no rare spiritual beasts dwelled within; otherwise, how could these fish swim around so freely?

This scene left many disciples feeling even more disappointed.

It appeared that the only interesting sight at Jingtan Peak was Peak Master Ye himself.

They wondered if Peak Master Ye was on the peak and whether they would have the opportunity to see him.

The group continued their ascent toward the peak.

Along the way, they remained alert, surveying their surroundings.

However, what they saw was nothing but spiritual fields, making it hard for them to distinguish which was truly Feng Ling Valley.

After facing disappointment multiple times, the group’s expressions began to calm; even so, they knew they still needed to be cautious with Senior Brother Ji ahead.

Ji Yang, not aware of the changing emotions of the crowd behind him, frowned slightly at the chaotic spiritual fields.

After so long, the three spiritual beasts still hadn’t reached the mountain’s belly; their speed was still a bit slow!

Just as everyone quietly moved toward the peak, a sudden shadow passed overhead, and a massive figure flew by.

This made everyone unconsciously look up!

Upon seeing the exact form of the figure, the disciples’ eyes filled with shock:

“A True Dragon!”

“This is a True Dragon!”

The numerous disciples stopped in their tracks, gazing at the True Dragon soaring above them with excitement and wonder!

Although rumors had circulated in the sect that Senior Brother Ji had caught a True Dragon at Tianxing Lake, most outer disciples had harbored doubts since they had never witnessed it themselves and had never visited Tianxing Lake; it had seemed more like a tall tale.

But now, witnessing the True Dragon with their own eyes left them with unwavering belief!

Seeing the True Dragon up close filled the many disciples with immense exhilaration.

This was a Powerful True Spirit!

Let alone Qi Refinement stage cultivators; even the sect’s elder officials might not have had the chance to observe it this closely.

As gasps of amazement arose from the crowd, the True Dragon overhead also looked down at them.

Its calm gaze caused the astonished crowd to freeze, and the aura it exuded sent their hearts racing, leaving them without any will to resist.

The enormous gap in realms plunged everyone into silence.
