Chapter 462: Sparring

"Master, is this giant eagle a beast king?" Xu Gang asked suspiciously.

"If it weren’t a beast king, the railgun wouldn’t have been deployed," Xu Fan replied.

At that moment, a light curtain appeared in front of them, displaying the scene of the giant eagle beast king passing through the area.

It had come seeking revenge after being disturbed by Xu Fan’s ultimate move from hundreds of miles away.

"This creature is pitiful; it didn’t even bother to check out this place before coming," Xu Fan remarked.

Just then, two Void Refinement Stage Puppets descended from the sky, carrying the giant eagle back to the base.

"Go back and focus on mastering your divine skills."

With that, Xu Fan boarded the spiritual boat and returned to the Hidden Spirit Sect.

Not long after Xu Fan left, thousands of logistics Spell Puppets arrived to repair the areas damaged by the two.

Protecting the environment is everyone’s responsibility.

…………

On Hidden Spirit Island, in a mortal city.

Li Lei Hu returned home with a look of frustration.

At this moment, the middle-aged butcher had just finished his task and logged off to rest.

The middle-aged butcher, now a Foundation Establishment Stage cultivator, was amazed by his rapid cultivation speed. Could he be a cultivation genius?

As soon as he logged off, he saw his son looking dejected.

"What’s wrong, little Hu?" the middle-aged butcher asked.

His proud son was the top third-generation disciple of the Hidden Spirit Sect, an achievement more glorious than being the top scorer in the past.

"Well, I was defeated by an outer disciple," Li Lei Hu admitted.

"Being defeated is nothing. You don’t think you’re the strongest person in the world, do you?" the middle-aged butcher said with a smile, patting his son.

"Failure is just a part of life! Train hard and win it back next time."

"I know, but it still feels bad. It seems I’ve been too relaxed in my training. From now on, I’ll be more diligent," Li Lei Hu said with determination.

"That’s the right attitude! When it comes to cultivation, your dad can’t help much."

"But I can share all my years of battle experience and techniques with you," the middle-aged butcher said.

At that moment, Li Lei Hu’s eyes lit up.

Of course! His father was a top Tian Puppet Master in the game, with a wealth of battle experience and techniques. How had he not thought of this before?

"Dad, will you be my sparring partner?" Li Lei Hu looked at the middle-aged butcher with hopeful eyes.

"You silly boy, I’m your dad! What could be better than this?"

"Come on, let’s log on. I’ll teach you properly right now," the middle-aged butcher said with a smile. For him, his family’s happiness was his own joy.

Li Lei Hu returned to his bedroom and put on his game helmet.

In the virtual game, at a paid training arena.

The middle-aged butcher controlled the Foundation Establishment Stage puppet and struck his son’s head at an incredible angle.

At the edge of the training arena, a Formation activated, and Li Lei Hu stepped out with a look of disbelief, as if he hadn’t recovered from the shock.

"Little Hu, you are a bit weaker than I thought," the middle-aged butcher frowned, lightly waving his lightning knife to create a flash of lightning.

"Dad, it’s not that I’m weak; it’s that you are too strong," Li Lei Hu exclaimed in shock. He had only known that his father was a powerful Tian Puppet Master but hadn’t expected that fighting him would be like fighting a chick.

"You are at the Foundation Establishment Stage, and so am I. I am controlling a Foundation Establishment Stage puppet as well."

"Continue fighting until you can block a hundred of my moves," the middle-aged butcher said, starting another bout.

That night in the game, the middle-aged butcher took his son to eat at a hotel.

"Dad, do you think you are the strongest Tian Puppet Master of the Hidden Spirit Sect?" Li Lei Hu asked curiously while eating.

"How do I put it? I can’t call myself the first, but I dare to claim the second," the middle-aged butcher chuckled, taking a sip of wine.

"Second? Then who is the first?"

"The first is a young man who is not much older than you, very formidable. From the first time I saw him, I knew I couldn’t compete with his puppet skills," the middle-aged butcher recalled.

"He controls a Transformation Stage Swordsman Puppet like a Sword Immortal, the celestial sword descending to slice through everything."

"Too bad he’s just a mortal," the middle-aged butcher lamented.

"Someone even stronger than you is just a mortal?" Li Lei Hu said in amazement.

Hearing his son’s words, the middle-aged butcher lowered his head to fiddle with a pass artifact at his waist.

Then he looked up at Li Lei Hu and said, "Let’s go. Today I’ll let you see the might of this mortal."

The father and son returned to the training ground, where they saw a man in a black tight outfit quietly waiting.

Motionless, he resembled a rock that had been silent for ages.

The moment Li Lei Hu saw the man, he felt as if he had looked upon a sharp sword standing between heaven and earth.

The man’s gaze lightly swept over, and Li Lei Hu felt a sword intent piercing into his soul.

"Butcher, what brings you here?" the man spoke lightly.

"My son is the top Third-generation Disciple of the Hidden Spirit Sect and wishes to spar with you," the middle-aged butcher said.

"I didn’t mean to provoke this big brother," Li Lei Hu hurriedly added from the side.

"You want to spar with me?" the man said, looking at Li Lei Hu.

"I want to know how strong the strongest Tian Puppet Master can be," Li Lei Hu replied.

"Then let’s give it a try."

As the man said this, he walked toward the training room, and soon a basic Foundation Establishment Stage Swordsman Puppet appeared on the training ground.

Li Lei Hu also stepped forward, holding a knife and looking at the man’s puppet, saying, "Then I won’t hold back."

With that, he charged at the Swordsman Puppet.

In just one move, the outcome was decided.

Li Lei Hu walked out from the revival point.

"How could you be so strong?" Li Lei Hu exclaimed in disbelief.

"The more you fight, the more your fighting strength increases. Although you are very talented, your battle experience is too little," the man said while looking at Li Lei Hu, then turned to the middle-aged butcher.

"Since you’re here, how about we have a match today?"

"Let’s use the Foundation Establishment Stage basic puppet," the middle-aged butcher said.

"Not a problem."

Soon, two basic puppets appeared on the training ground.

Li Lei Hu felt excited as he watched from the side, knowing this was his father’s way of giving him a chance to see the battle up close.

When the battle began, the two puppets were entangled in fierce combat.

Blades clashed as the sounds of knives and swords colliding filled the air, like a beautiful musical piece.

The same speed and power, under different control, showcased varying strengths, but now these two forces seemed to have reached their peak.

Li Lei Hu watched in a daze, feeling as if he had entered the hall of martial arts.

Each move of the puppets was either precise, violent, swift, or gentle.

After one hour of battling, the puppet controlled by the middle-aged butcher was pierced into its spiritual energy core by the Swordsman Puppet’s blade.

"You’re very strong. In the future, when we reach the sixth-tier puppet master level, you will be the strongest," the man said lightly.
