Chapter 466: Beast Cage

The three of them passed through the hidden Formation in the basement and arrived at a vast underground chamber.

In the center of the chamber was a small teleportation formation.

Although Han Feiyu couldn’t find any teleportation stations leading to other fairy cities, he had figured out how to establish teleportation formations in two places.

This Formation led to a secret base outside Fairy City in Tianyuan.

"Let’s go; Fairy City in Tianyuan is done for," Han Feiyu sighed, wondering how many of the one hundred thousand cultivators would escape.

The three stood in the teleportation formation, and Han Feiyu quickly added various Immortal Jade spirit crystals before activating it, causing them to vanish into the formation.

Meanwhile, in the Hidden Spirit Sect, Xu Fan pondered over a snake-shaped giant beast race warship, debating whether to make further modifications.

With his connection to Master Qianling, he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if they fired a cannon at the beast race warship.

"Grand Elder, do you want to turn this back into a human race Star Ship?" Sha Diao said from the side.

"Redesigning it will be quite difficult, but making a transforming Star Ship is still possible," Xu Fan replied with a flash of inspiration.

The Hidden Spirit Sect’s Star Ship was damaged, and even after repairs, its performance wouldn’t be as good as before.

The now-repaired Star Ship could only mine in the Extreme Void Domain and barely manage combat; it couldn’t perform extreme maneuvers like it used to.

The entire body of the Star Ship couldn’t withstand the energy impact from the teleportation formation’s nodes, which was the main reason Xu Fan wanted to modify the giant beast race warship.

Before, he had only considered modifying the interior of the beast race warship, but now he realized the design was equally important.

The old turtle they had encountered earlier was likely a secret weapon of the beast race.

He felt that the Elder Council of the human race might also have a big weapon like that; it would be tragic to destroy themselves due to the design.

"What’s a transforming Star Ship?" Sha Diao asked curiously.

Xu Fan casually projected a light curtain, showing an initial evolutionary transformation pattern of a grape.

He watched as the serpent-shaped giant beast race warship, originally thousands of feet long, began to modularly reshape, eventually transforming into a standard human race Star Ship, with a projection flag displaying the Hidden Spirit Sect emblem atop it.

"Isn’t the strength of this Star Ship body going to be insufficient?" Sha Diao expressed his shock, though also his doubts.

"If the hardness isn’t enough, the Formation can compensate."

As Xu Fan spoke, the Formation appeared on the surface of the Star Ship in the light curtain after transforming it into a human race Star Ship.

"This Formation can actually be compatible!" Sha Diao exclaimed in amazement.

"Brother Sha, just wait and see," Xu Fan said with a smile.

At that moment, the image on the light curtain shifted to the top of the Star Ship.

"My heavens!"

"Isn’t this the base Formation of our Hidden Spirit Island? It can shrink down to fit the bottom of the Star Ship!" Sha Diao was stunned once again.

"With the base Formation and the ship body Formation enhancing its hardness, there’s no need to worry."

"The only thing we need to consider now is what kind of spirit ore to use for connecting the ship body."

"Using too high a level of spirit ore might be a waste," Xu Fan mused, stroking his chin.

In the sect’s treasury, there were suitable materials, but those were all artifact-level spirit ores, and Xu Fan hesitated to use them.

"Indeed, I’ve seen the list of spirit ores in the sect’s treasury, and only those like Nebula Dark Iron and Myriad Fusion Spirit Gold are suitable," Sha Diao nodded in agreement.

Xu Fan felt a newfound respect for Sha Diao; being able to name those artifact-level spirit ores displayed his high level of expertise.

"Grand Elder, why not leave this matter to me? Perhaps I can create an alloy that matches these properties," Sha Diao said with a smile, feeling pleased with Xu Fan’s earlier respectful gaze.

"Brother Sha, are you confident?" Xu Fan asked, surprised.

"Give me half a year, and I should be able to," Sha Diao replied after thinking for a moment.

"Then I’ll leave this matter to you, Brother Sha." Xu Fan said lightly; waiting half a year was a bargain compared to the cost of using artifact-level spirit ores.

"Leave it to me!" Sha Diao declared as he flew towards the sect’s treasury, eager to begin immediately.

"Comparatively, I underestimated him," Xu Fan remarked as he watched Sha Diao’s retreating figure.

He felt this was a flaw he needed to overcome.

At that moment, Xu Yuexian excitedly approached Xu Fan.

"You found quite a few good items in that secret realm, didn’t you?" Xu Fan commented, noticing Xu Yuexian’s animated expression.

"I discovered several celestial tools used by the ancient beast race, and the most interesting one is this Beast Cage," Xu Yuexian said, revealing a small round cage in her hand.

"The space inside is large enough to hold a million beasts."

Xu Fan took the Beast Cage from Xu Yuexian, examined it carefully, and then returned it to her.

"Master, you should keep it. What do you want it for?" Xu Yuexian handed the Beast Cage back to Xu Fan.

"How about I modify it for you? Later, you could catch some powerful beast race members to use as your summoned beasts," Xu Fan suggested thoughtfully.

"By the way, did you find anything that you couldn’t see through in that secret realm?" Xu Fan asked, having sensed an unusual aura of fortune within the Beast Cage.

"Master, I was just about to tell you—I really did find something," Xu Yuexian replied as she took out a statue of a beast carved from ordinary jade, looking ancient and worn.

"The Beast Control Red Demon Clan; this dates back a long time," Xu Fan remarked as he gazed at the statue.

"What is the Beast Control Red Demon Clan?" Xu Yuexian asked curiously.

"Back in ancient times, who knows how many thousands of years ago, the Ancient Demon Clan ruled the world. At that time, both the human and beast races lived under the will of the ancient giant demons, with no room for resistance.

"There was a beast race that specialized in herding beasts, providing blood and food for the ancient demons, making that clan the most noble among the beast races at the time.

"However, as the ancient demons weakened, they were exterminated.

"This statue likely served as an object of faith and worship for their clan, hence gathering much of their fortune," Xu Fan explained as he summoned two Void Refinement Stage Puppets and had them lift the statue into a small space within the grape.

"This beast statue has condensed the fortune and will of their clan, making it quite valuable.

"Once I assimilate the fortune contained within and combine it with the Beast Cage, I can forge something special for you.

"If your fighting strength isn’t sufficient, you can always act as a summoner."

Xu Fan said, imagining the scene where he could release beasts while standing back, feeling it would indeed be quite amusing—one person could bring forth an army of thousands.

"This is great; thank you, Master!" Xu Yuexian sweetly replied.

"There’s no need to thank me; I’ll be counting on you to protect me in the future," Xu Fan waved his hand dismissively.
