Chapter 210: The Opportunity to Change the Situation in the Southern Region

The name of the Dawn Goddess had once resonated throughout the vast world. A thousand years ago, she struck fear across the land, standing at the same level as God King Taiyi, the Soaring Saint, and Ghost King Yingtian—even holding a slightly higher status than Chi Zhenyi.

The strongest saints of the Southern Region, ranked in order, were God King Taiyi and Ghost King Yingtian from the same generation, followed by Chi Zhenyi. Later, Ghost King Youye rose to prominence.

The title of "Dawn Goddess" was not self-appointed—it was a name earned through sheer bloodshed.

Shui Lianyi had countless glorious achievements in eliminating saints. Each time she struck, the world fell silent, and she always acted at dawn, thus earning her title.

In contrast, her actual name was easily forgotten.

She was slightly surprised that Zhang Yang had managed to drive away Ghost King Yingtian, but she could see that, in truth, Zhang Yang had merely served as a catalyst.

The outcome had not depended solely on him.

Thus, her focus remained on Ghost King Youye.

“Tell Ghost King Yingtian that I still remember the time he ambushed me during the War of the Saints. Sooner or later, I will step into the Ghostly Divine Platform and crush him beneath my feet,” Shui Lianyi declared.

Ghost King Youye snorted coldly. “Shui Lianyi, this is no longer your era. The Ghostly Divine Platform is not a place you can simply walk into, nor is it something you can provoke at will.”

Shui Lianyi responded lightly, “Is that so?”

Suddenly, she made her move.

Boom!

Another devastating strike erupted, and the terrifying Holy Might made the Daybreak Phoenix Ruins tremble.

In the sky, the darkness exploded.

Ghost King Youye’s long face disintegrated in an instant.

The Daybreak Phoenix Luan, seemingly infused with newfound power, let out a piercing cry and fiercely devoured the lingering darkness with endless light.

Yet, Ghost King Youye’s voice still echoed.

“I am not here in person, so what is the meaning of your arrogance?”

Darkness gathered once more in the void, reassembling the long face of Ghost King Youye.

However, the darkness that had originally covered one-third of the Daybreak Phoenix Ruins had now completely vanished.

Shui Lianyi sneered. “It seems you’ve grown even more arrogant.”

“That’s because today is not like yesterday,” Ghost King Youye coldly replied. “The Ghostly Divine Platform is more invincible than ever before, and no one in the Southern Region dares to challenge it. Naturally, I have the right to be arrogant.”

Shui Lianyi clicked her tongue. “How bold of the Ghostly Divine Platform to look down on the entire Southern Region. But then again, who told you all to so arrogantly consider yourselves the puppeteers of this region’s fate? Truly overbearing. Therefore, I have now decided to contribute a little to the Southern Region myself.”

She waved her right hand, and a rain of holy light descended.

The holy light poured down, merging into the earth.

“In thirty days, the Great Path Sacred Tree will emerge, bearing the Great Path Sacred Fruit. Those who have reached the Great Boundless Perfect Stage will be able to pass through the heavenly tribulations effortlessly and step into the Ascending the Heavens realm, becoming saints.”

“In thirty days, the competition for the Great Path Sacred Fruit will conclude, and the Daybreak Phoenix Ruins will be permanently closed.”

“Outside the Ghostly Divine Platform, will more Saint-level forces arise in the Southern Region? Will a new holy ground emerge to challenge the Ghostly Divine Platform? That will now depend on you younger ones.”

Her words sent waves of excitement rippling through the Daybreak Phoenix Ruins.

Ghost King Youye’s once-arrogant expression immediately darkened. He glared at Shui Lianyi, seething with fury, wishing he could tear her apart.

This woman had barely arrived, yet she had already begun influencing the entire fate of the Southern Region.

The worst part was—he was powerless to stop her.

“Shui Lianyi,” he spat, “as a saint from the Central Continent, what right do you have to interfere in the affairs of my Southern Region? Are you not afraid of provoking public outrage? If the Southern Region unites against you, even if your Heavenly Water Sacred Realm is one of the dominant holy grounds in the Central Continent, it will still be destroyed!”

Ghost King Youye was truly enraged.

The significance of the Great Path Sacred Fruit was extraordinary. Not only could it allow those in the Great Boundless Perfect Stage to ascend to sainthood, but if one possessed enough talent, they could comprehend even greater truths from it, potentially creating many powerful saints.

What angered him the most was that, within the current Daybreak Phoenix Ruins, who could rival Zhang Yang?

It was evident that Zhang Yang had begun to overshadow the entire Daybreak Phoenix Ruins, meaning he could potentially claim more Sacred Fruits. This would lead to the rapid rise of the Vast Forest and truly disrupt the balance of the Southern Region.

“You seem anxious,” Shui Lianyi remarked playfully. “Your gaze keeps flickering toward this little one, as if you fear him. Could it be that the fate of your Ghostly Divine Platform’s people in the Daybreak Phoenix Ruins has been so miserable that you now believe they stand no chance of obtaining the Great Path Sacred Fruit? If that’s the case, then my actions are all the more justified.”

Ghost King Youye’s expression darkened further.

It was clear that this was deliberately aimed at the Ghostly Divine Platform.

However, his threats held no sway over Shui Lianyi; she remained utterly unfazed.

What infuriated him even more was Zhang Yang.

Seizing the opportunity, Zhang Yang stepped forward and shouted, “Senior goddess, to completely deny the Ghostly Divine Platform any chance and make this long face regret everything even more, why don’t you take action yourself? Wipe out all members of the Ghostly Divine Platform in the Daybreak Phoenix Ruins, then set up seals to strictly forbid them from ever entering. Wouldn’t that be better? That way, the Ghostly Divine Platform wouldn’t stand a chance at all.”

Ghost King Youye was livid. “Ant, you dare?!”

Zhang Yang scoffed. “Long face, stop pretending you’re anything but an ant yourself. Do you really think that if you descended and fought me on equal footing, I wouldn’t be able to crush you with a single hand? In my eyes, you are nothing more than an insect.”

Ghost King Youye’s killing intent surged. He truly wanted to strike.

Shui Lianyi found it amusing that such a minor Ascending to Heaven realm warrior dared to provoke Ghost King Youye so brazenly. His sharp tongue made the scene even more entertaining.

“Senior goddess, please make your move,” Zhang Yang urged.

Ghost King Youye roared, “Ant, you must be punished!”

In response, Zhang Yang raised his middle finger at him.

Ghost King Youye seethed with fury.

Shui Lianyi, smiling, said, “The Daybreak Phoenix Ruins have already been disturbed by the heavenly tribulations, causing destruction that is far from ordinary. I cannot easily intervene or use my full strength; otherwise, why do you think Ghost King Youye has been able to act so recklessly here? Forcing the Great Path Sacred Tree to appear early has already affected the balance of the Daybreak Phoenix Ruins. If I were to intervene further, it might bring unpredictable consequences.”

Zhang Yang chuckled awkwardly. “Oh, so it’s because of the heavenly tribulations? Well then, never mind, let’s leave it at that. After all, the Ghostly Divine Platform is just a gathering of insignificant ants. They won’t be able to claim the Great Path Sacred Fruit anyway.”

Shui Lianyi’s sharp perception startled Zhang Yang as she asked, “You seem to have a particular interest in heavenly tribulations?”

Ghost King Youye sneered coldly. “That’s because it was his heavenly tribulation that caused this mess!”

Zhang Yang shot back, “I’m not talking to you, long face. Can’t you shut that ugly mouth of yours? Every time you butt in, people are forced to look at your face, not realizing it’s enough to make them vomit their last meal.”

Ghost King Youye’s gaze turned murderous.

Shui Lianyi couldn’t help but look at Zhang Yang in awe; it was the first time she had seen someone so brazenly insult a saint without hesitation.

Ghost King Youye growled, “Zhang Yang, you ant! You have angered me. I have decided to use the full power of the Ghostly Divine Platform to eliminate you!”

The darkness gathered around his face suddenly dispersed, breaking apart into countless black dots and lines. The lingering remnants of the heavenly tribulations ignited, birthing ghostly divine phenomena, and then, in an instant, two beams of black light condensed and shot downward.

“Ghost King Fulong! Ghost King Wudao!”

“I shall use supreme techniques to awaken your bloodlines to their ultimate transformation, allowing you both to complete the Super Ghost King evolution.”

“I command you—no matter the cost—kill Zhang Yang!”
