Chapter 393: Two Elite Level Girls Were Ambushed!

Lolth and Ling quietly enjoyed the hot spring together.

Even though they both understood they had their own secrets and didn’t question each other, it was clear that they were still curious about who the other really was.

Even when they returned to their own rooms and lay in bed, this was still true.

On Ling’s side, the girl in bed was thinking about the "magic flow" and "bone structure" she had seen inside Lolth’s body.

Although Lolth had hidden it on purpose, Ling was still able to discover one thing.

That is Lolth’s body and magic flow seemed very "unnatural."

It was clear that Lolth’s body should have had a "tail."

But she did not look like an Orc or a half-orc.

Orcs and half-orcs cannot have bones so similar to humans.

It could be said that Lolth’s entire body structure, both muscles and bones, is almost identical to that of a human, except for the pelvic bone and tailbone area.

The other person’s "magic" felt unusually clean.

It was as if they were deliberately hiding something.

Even the skin held a hint of a magical disguise.

Ling had seen many races in the main plane, and none matched this characteristic.

Therefore, Ling had reason to suspect…

Either the other person was an extremely rare ancient race, like the "dark creatures" that secretly continued from the Second Era, which were quickly killed to near extinction by The Church of Light, but since these races could blend in with ordinary humans, there might still be a few scattered across the continent.

If it is not from ancient seeds… then the other side must come from an alternate world!

Either way, it will involve some very complex and ancient beings.

Even though Ling is a very confident and innocent guy in some ways, she does not want to provoke those unknown beings.

Especially at the time when the "ancient civilization ruins" exist in the half-plane, Ling is especially unwilling to cause trouble.

After all, the chance to enter this kind of half-plane is precious for anyone.

On the other side, Lolth, who hates trouble, has an even more "negative" attitude.

"It looks like it’s probably the Golden Peacock or the Seven Kingdoms, but it’s also possible it could be the Holy Empire; there is a part of the Holy Empire on the east side…"

"But that scar is really terrifying; where is she going to find so many attackers?"

"That healing ability… could it be some godly favor or someone with secret magical heritage…? Never mind, since she is still somewhat friendly for now, let’s not worry about it."

Lolth lay in bed, lost in heavy thoughts.

Why is it that everywhere I go, I keep running into characters filled with side missions and special stories?

But thinking about it, it makes sense…

In a half-plane with ancient ruins, a place so rich and tempting, who would dare to get involved, or even could get involved, if not for fools like Hood who are lucky and clueless?

The most special one in this group is definitely not any rare Hobbit.

Even I, as an Abyssal Demon, might not be something particularly rare.

Besides Ling, the noble lords Krado and "Raven" also seem to be filled with trouble.

Looking at it this way, Ling is now the "variable" I need to worry about the least.

After all, I just reached some sort of agreement and understanding with Ling.

Today’s chance encounter and awkward moments turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

And at least…

Although the other person was mysterious and seemed to have a "special" aura, they haven’t caused any real trouble for me so far.

Lolth comforted herself with such optimism.

But then, she suddenly felt something was off.

There was an unusual "vibration" coming from outside the window.

It was the extraordinary power waves of the Superoperator.

Hidden and concealed, it was either a warlock who learned advanced breath concealment mystical techniques or a Sneaker among the rangers.

Unlike Ling on the other side of the room, it was probably a serious Sneaker!

Moreover, it was so subtle that Lolth almost didn’t notice, even though she was daydreaming earlier. This showed that the other person’s strength was at least epic level.

Not to mention that being able to bypass the warning magic and security of the upscale mainland hotel chain, "Magic Forest," which is popular among Superoperators and nobles, surely means they are not weak.

"What are they sneaking around for? Did the high-end hotel next door send someone to steal business secrets?"

Lolth noticed them as soon as they entered the courtyard, so she was unaware of their intentions.

But soon, Lolth understood what their target was.

That subtle and swift extraordinary energy was heading straight towards her.

It had a very strong purpose.

Lolth couldn’t keep her composure any longer.

"What the heck is going on?"

She was a bit unsure whether this group of guys was after her or Ling.

Since she didn’t know Ling’s past, if they were really after her… Lolth had no idea if this guy had any enemies.

Considering the terrible scars on the other person, it seemed that they must have quite a few foes.

However, if a skilled person in the city saw through her disguise during the day and realized she was of the demon race, it was possible they could secretly note her address and attempt to ambush her at night for a reward.

Lolth took a quick glance back at Ling.

Through the thin curtains and the evening window, a faint light from the magical ancient tree outside shone in, and Lolth saw that Ling was still lying in bed, completely still, unsure if she was asleep or not.

"There’s no other choice… I have to rely on myself."

Lolth quickly thought about how to control the person who might come after her without revealing her true strength.

Of course, it would be best if Ling really stayed asleep.

The hidden extraordinary waves have arrived in the yard of "White Poplar," and Lolth has already thought of a plan.

She will use a magic scroll!

Even though she didn’t bring any magic scrolls this time…

But she can secretly write one now.

She quietly reached into her clothes, tore off the inner fabric of her warrior armor, and inscribed it with magical waves that nobody would notice.

Soon, a simple magic scroll was made!

At that moment, her window was also quietly pushed open.

Someone flipped in through the window…

And it was not just one person.

But three men in black!

The three of them landed beside Lolth’s bed, glanced at him, and quietly took out daggers from their waists.

Not just Sneaker… but assassins!

The three looked at each other and nodded silently.

Then they suddenly attacked at the same time!
