Chapter 240: Choosing the Next Person to Transform

After all, there were so many things to celebrate!

First came the defeat of that vile goblin, followed by the reunion with the blonde, and this marked the long-awaited day when all daughters finally returned to the castle!

So—

"Let’s hold a feast now."

As Lin Yu spoke, she approached the blonde, who instinctively lowered her head. The white-haired girl gently stroked the wolf’s fur.

"Besides celebrating our victory over a formidable foe, this also serves as a welcome banquet for the blonde. I trust you’ve all become acquainted with her?"

The girls nodded.

"Indeed," one replied. "She rescued the three of us during the battle against that goblin."

Though Lvzi spoke these words, her smile carried an odd tension.

The other ants seemed uneasy too… as if the atmosphere had chilled.

Ah, perhaps due to their differing races. But though the blonde is a Wind Wolf, she’ll soon be family! Everyone must learn to coexist harmoniously.

Hmm… Such a joyous occasion calls for a grand feast prepared by my own hands!

With all the spices and ingredients acquired from human race towns, I can finally recreate dishes from my past life.

Why not prepare the blonde’s favorite meals from her previous existence?

That would surely delight her.

With this thought, Lin Yu gazed at the giant wolf, an unusual softness gracing her pale features.

"What would you like to eat?"

"Woof!"

"Braised pork, as expected!" Lin Yu chuckled. "This world offers countless varieties of monster meat—my space backpack holds enough to satisfy even your bottomless appetite."

"Woof woof!!"

The blonde enthusiastically nuzzled the white-haired girl’s cheek with her massive head.

She nearly licked Lin Yu’s face in her excitement, but an inexplicable wave of icy glares from the surroundings made her flinch.

"Something wrong?"

A cold? Impossible!

With such thick fur, she radiates warmth…

Unaware of the subtle tension between her daughters and the wolf, Lin Yu pondered menu options beyond braised pork.

After all, she needed to accommodate everyone’s preferences, not just the blonde’s.

Another concern surfaced—their limited manpower.

Though Red Pupil, Army Lady, Lvzi, and Stealth One had mastered human forms, entrusting them with cooking duties seemed… risky.

Little Tear? That airhead should focus on eating rather than assisting.

The only ant remotely qualified was Worker Liquor, still trapped in her original form—wait! The upgraded restoration of Magic Value now permitted granting her the "Transformation" ability!

Speaking of the order, it would next be her turn alongside Weak Sound.

After announcing the banquet, Huang Mao couldn’t bear the collective gaze of her daughters. Telling Lin Yu she wished to stroll outside and return before dinner, she departed the castle.

Apart from the Fourth Ant Nest surrounding the castle, there existed other nests numbered First through Eighth—more than enough territory within the ant clan’s domain for exploration.

Thus, Lin Yu led Red Pupil, Army Lady, and several other daughters capable of human transformation to the first-floor restaurant.

She assigned them a large batch of ingredients requiring basic preparation such as washing and peeling.

Then she gave a reassuring pat to Worker Liquor, who watched Red Pupil and the others handling ingredients with visible envy.

“Mommy?”

“Little Liquor, come with me.”

“But…”

“Just come.”

“Oh.”

Worker Liquor dutifully trailed after Lin Yu.

Upon leaving the dining area,

Lin Yu slipped behind the restaurant door and swiftly caught Weak Sound, who’d instinctively tried to flee.

“M-Mommy…?”

The little ant curled into herself again.

Lin Yu prodded Weak Sound’s belly, eliciting a soft “*Ji!*” from the trembling creature.

That shy demeanor felt irresistibly endearing—sometimes it was impossible not to playfully provoke her.

Anticipation fluttered at imagining Weak Sound’s human form.

If teasing her ant-shaped self was this delightful, how much more charming would it be once she joined the human race?

Ah, though she appeared timid, Weak Sound had grown remarkably powerful. Her strength, especially when activating the “Magnification” skill, might surpass all her sisters.

And this wasn’t bullying!

Merely… affectionate mother-daughter bonding. No—harmless interaction!

“You’re coming too.”

“M-Me… too?”

“Mhm.”

No objections allowed~

Certain the bashful Little Weak Ant would bolt if released, Lin Yu cradled her close. With Worker Liquor in tow, they ascended to the castle’s third-floor bedroom.

The Weak Ant species, being the tiniest among ants, fit snugly in one’s arms.

Weak Sound quivered like a leaf within the white-haired girl’s embrace—whether from shyness or exhilaration, her tremors rippled faintly through the girl’s modest chest.

“Me too! Mommy, me too!”

Worker Liquor’s voice called out from behind.

"But I can’t hold another one right now, so I’ll have to say no."

They soon reached the bedroom.

"Little Liquor, you’ll go first."

"Go first…for what?"

"Haven’t you always wished to become human? I’m going to bestow the ‘Shapeshift’ skill upon you."

"Hu-human?! Really?!"

Her excitement was palpable.

Yet another daughter transitioning to human form—Mother felt her own heart race with anticipation.

"Ready?"

"Absolutely!"

Lin Yu channeled the empowerment effect of her Unique Skill – Queen Ant, transferring the Shapeshift ability to Worker Liquor.

/Skill activation successful.

Though failure remained unheard of, the system confirmation still eased the tension in Lin Yu’s shoulders.

"It’s here! It worked!"

Little Liquor nearly bounced off the floor when she spotted the Shapeshift skill glowing on her Attribute Panel.

Without hesitation, she triggered the ability immediately.

The gray ant’s form dissolved into shimmering particles.

Emerging in the bedroom stood a girl appearing fourteen winters old, comparable in age to the silver-haired maiden. Her jade-pale complexion complemented a willowy frame, crowned by sleek ash-gray hair brushing her shoulders. Vibrant silver-grey eyes sparkled with childlike wonder beneath brows bearing faint resemblance to the white-haired girl’s delicate features—a vision of youthful beauty by any measure.

True to tradition among newly transformed sisters, the girl stood completely naked.

"It worked! I’m really human now!"

Like Army Lady and others before her, Little Liquor began exploring her transformed body with fascinated touches.

The reality of her nudity struck moments later.

Noticing Lin Yu’s lingering gaze, crimson flooded her cheeks. Instinctively, she crossed arms over vulnerable areas—a perfectly human reaction.

Yet the defensive gesture only accentuated her newfound allure.
