Chapter 306: The Secret of the Sword Wall

“You… who are you…” The presence felt unmistakably like divine power, but why would the Divine Clan appear in the Demon Realm?

Feng Rong and Yuan Qi ignored the shocked onlookers. After dispatching the surrounding demon tribes, they dove straight into the sword wall toward You You, paying no heed to the hovering city lords.

The city lords froze momentarily, but their attention soon shifted. One opportunist had seized the golden Sword Intent atop the sword wall during the chaos and fled. Panicked, the city lords abandoned their curiosity and gave chase, leaving the area deserted.

“You You, are you hurt—” Feng Rong barged into the sword wall first, only to freeze. Inside the Demonic Energy barrier, You You and Gong Xi still clung to each other. His worry morphed into rage as he ripped them apart, yanking You You into his arms. “What’s your game?” he snarled at Gong Xi.

Stunned by the shove, Gong Xi faltered, letting the barrier flicker. Sword energy surged inward—until Yuan Qi’s timely hand seal conjured a defensive formation around them.

“You You, unharmed?” Yuan Qi asked.

She nodded. “Fine.”

“You… who…” Gong Xi gaped at the two, piecing together their identities from Feng Rong’s earlier display of power. Her eyes narrowed. “Release Ah You!”

“Make me,” Feng Rong shot back, tightening his grip defiantly.

Demonic Energy crackled around Gong Xi as she stepped forward.

“Enough!” You You snapped, elbowing Feng Rong. “City Lord, these are my companions.”

“Companions?” Gong Xi’s energy stilled. She studied them, recalling the two figures from Chiyu City. “Divine Clan members?”

“Got a problem with that?” Feng Rong retorted.

Gong Xi’s jaw clenched but she withheld attack. “If you’re allies, focus on escaping this sword wall.”

“No,” You You cut in, pointing past the thickening energy. “We’re going deeper. The Yin volume’s there.”

“Madness!” Gong Xi hissed. “This sword energy grows deadlier by the second. Even the Long Clan once sacrificed dozens to breach it. We can’t—”

Yuan Qi interrupted, “The energy’s pattern—observe it.”

You You squinted. With the barrier now transparent, the sword energy’s trajectories became clear. “What if these were Spirit Swords moving ten times faster?”

Yuan Qi’s breath hitched. “Your Sword God’s Heaven-Defying Strike!”

Feng Rong snorted. “Your ‘no-man’s-land’ sword dance!”

You You groaned. “It’s called Sword God’s Heaven-Defying Strike!” The realization struck—every twist and surge mirrored her skill’s exact choreography.

“We can navigate this,” Yuan Qi declared. “You You, pinpoint the starting sequence.”

She gestured to a cluster. “There.”

“Then we advance,” Yuan Qi said. “Warn me of shifts. No hesitation.”

As Gong Xi reached to steady You You, Feng Rong yanked her away, shooting a triumphant glare.

Gong Xi’s eye twitched.
