Chapter 162: The Radiant, Glorious, Goddess-like Chaos Deity 6/7

Elioerg lay on a thick root of Subspace, his lower body soaked in water while his upper half rose above the surface.

Before him stretched a mist-covered expanse, but as a chaos deity, Elioerg had no interest in investigating further.

He knew he couldn’t enter.

That place was the Crystal Walls of the Bubble World Valaharl!

Ever since that world was reclaimed, the main roots of Subspace had been cut off and died.

Now, even the "capillary roots" of the Fantasy Tree could barely reach it. So the chaos deities could only hope the Fantasy Tree’s roots would grow again and break through Valaharl’s defenses.

But that wouldn’t happen anytime soon.

The Chaos Demon God stationed here could only watch.

Watching seemed easy, but inside, Elioerg felt both furious and helpless.

"What were those fools of the Twelve People’s Council doing!?"

"They kept shuffling us around till we were dizzy!"

The "Twelve People’s Council" was actually a group formed by the top twelve core councilors of the Chaos Council. Its decisions held a kind of "legal power" over the Chaos Demon Gods.

Sending Elioerg back to guard Subspace’s fifth level was one of their orders.

Elioerg returned, only to find the Star-Eater Plutonium Dragon, Ye’s Foolish Act, had vanished without a trace.

Furious, Elioerg wanted to confront the Twelve People’s Council.

But he remembered he couldn’t beat them, so he dropped it.

Soon, the Twelve People’s Council gave an even worse order—telling Elioerg to surround the Bubble World Valaharl.

This command wasn’t just foolish.

Elioerg had already been near the Bubble World Valaharl, ready to make that reckless Star-Eater Plutonium Dragon pay.

Then the council called him back to fight the dragon.

When he returned, the dragon was gone again. So the Twelve People’s Council sent him back to Valaharl to stand there uselessly…

By chance, the Subspace root he lay on was the exact one he’d used before being reassigned.

Well…

After all that running around, he’d ended up right back where he started?

Elioerg wanted to ask the Twelve People’s Council what this pointless busywork was for!

It made him resent them more and more!

"Alright, alright~"

"Don’t be hasty."

The voice sounded playful and cheerful, but its real power was how mesmerizing it was to anyone who heard it!

If someone like Trilobite heard it, they’d grow restless, lose control, their ears would tingle, and they’d be utterly spellbound.

But Elioerg was a Chaos Demon God—chaotic, brutal, and obsessed with violence.

The famous "martial faction" again.

That light tone only made him furious!

"Gimmerly!?"

"What are you doing here again!"

"You cunning fox!"

This woman wouldn’t have bothered him if she hadn’t popped up, but once she did, Elioerg recalled it was she who had conveyed the Chaos Council’s "suggestion," leading to his reassignment.

Damn it!

If he couldn’t clash with the Chaos Council, he could surely take on Gimmerly!

"Roar!"

Without another word, he lunged at Gimmerly.

But…

"Hey!"

"That was close, that was close!"

Gimmerly suddenly pushed off with her long hind legs, dodging Elioerg’s pounce.

But a furious Elioerg refused to let her escape.

"Where do you think you’re going!"

The massive dragon body, resembling a "Serpent Tooth Dragon," slowly climbed the root systems of the Fantasy Tree of Subspace, chasing Gimmerly.

However, Gimmerly, though small, kept leaping and dodging swiftly to evade his pursuit.

But ahead lay the end of the root systems of the Fantasy Tree of Subspace!

Gimmerly seemed to have hit a "dead end"!

"Huff… huff… huff…"

"Damn it!"

Elioerg grinned wickedly, closing in while fixing a fierce, cold stare on Gimmerly.

"Run!?"

"Keep running!"

"I’ll see where you can escape to!"

"Kneel! Beg for mercy, and maybe I’ll spare you…"

His arrogant victory speech quickly faltered.

"Not necessarily."

Gimmerly’s tone held no despair or pessimism, only mockery.

"I merely hope you stay calm; after all, that fellow can’t linger in one spot forever."

"You still have a chance to confront him."

"Let’s leave it at that."

"I won’t keep you company any longer."

"Wow… that was terrifying…"

After speaking, Gimmerly suddenly pushed off with her hind legs again!

"Whoosh—!"

She actually flew into the air!

Or rather, she started gliding quickly.

Between her long hind legs and long tail were strange wing membranes; her shorter arms also had wing membranes connecting to her belly.

This made her look…

very much like a "duck-wing fighter."

Though she couldn’t truly fly, this weird "void energy design" let Gimmerly glide quite far.

Soon, she vanished from Elioerg’s sight.

"Next time… don’t let me catch you!"

"Damn it!"

"You’re driving me crazy!"

Elioerg roared, shook his head, and went back to the Fantasy Tree root systems where he waited.

"When did that woman learn to fly?"

"She didn’t seem able to do that before…"

"She really knew how to hide."

But while Elioerg ground his teeth and cursed Gimmerly, he didn’t know…

"Whoosh…"

A strange "creature" quietly rose from the water right below him.

It blinked, watched Gimmerly glide away, then glanced at Elioerg lying on the tree before sinking back.

"Whoosh…"

Gentle ripples spread briefly, then vanished without a trace, as if nothing ever happened.

—-

"Hehe."

"That guy is called the Giant God, right?"

"Awesome!"

"Slurp…"

Gimmerly glided while licking her lips.

"Indeed, it wasn’t simple."

"Just the knowledge from the blood octopus Outer God changed my Divine Body so much!"

"That’s really amazing."

"Maybe I can truly soar someday!"

"Hahaha…"

She laughed with delight.

But then…

"Gimmerly, don’t celebrate too soon."

"The info from the Giant God pieces isn’t complete."

"The path is uncertain."

"Your Divine Body still needs changes."

A solemn, rational woman’s voice snapped Gimmerly out of her flying joy.

As soon as the voice sounded, Gimmerly dropped her arrogance.

"Ah, sorry, Lady Xidi."

"I shouldn’t have gotten carried away."

"Whoosh—!"

Gimmerly apologized earnestly as she quickly glided to the main trunk of the Fantasy Tree of Subspace.

There, another colorful, incredibly beautiful chaos deity waited for her.

She shone so bright and lovely, almost like a glowing goddess.

But who could guess?

She was a true chaos evil god!

And also…

"Gimmerly pays respect to the Twelfth Seat of the Chaos Council, the great core councilor, the wise ‘Creator’s Hand’, Lady Xidi."
