Chapter 164: The Mutated Sacred Liquid of the Giant God

"Everyone!"

"Cheer!"

"Cheer for the victory of the Giant God! Cheer for the grace of the Giant God!"

Albert Drake’s red hair flowed like blazing flames in the wind; it was like a mass of blood burning and steaming!

Her white sailor pants tightly wrapped around her voluptuous long legs, while her upper body was draped in a white naval coat with tassel epaulets; the fitted shirt could hardly contain her full bust’s desire for freedom.

This outfit was very alluring and would definitely catch anyone’s eye.

But no one dared to look directly at Albert Drake standing on the platform.

This living saint was the "Ether Queen."

She was completely different from "Primordial Sulya" and "Frost Poison Loseta."

Albert Drake’s bravery and cruelty were well known even among the Chosen Warriors.

Though the other two living saints also hunted chaotic demons fervently and sacrificed them to the great Giant God, only Albert Drake made flesh and blood hunting part of her instincts!

So, besides the "Ether Queen," she had a more fearsome title among chaotic demons—"Bloodthirsty Albert Drake."

This was a very "demonic" and "chaotic" name, but Albert Drake accepted her enemies’ "praise" without hesitation!

Because of this, Albert Drake did not excel in governance like Sulya nor have the mechanical calmness of Loseta; but her enthusiasm and boldness could fiercely boost the morale of soldiers and civilians.

That was why Sulya asked her to lead this baptism ritual.

The baptism ritual was very simple: the followers just jumped into the river for a bath and recited phrases like "Great is the Giant God."

It was similar to Grand Duke Vladimir driving people into the Dnieper River for a mass baptism.

But while the form was equally simple, the essence was worlds apart.

Because this baptism at Valaharl used real sacred water!

It was the sacred miracle left by the Giant God during battle!

"Look!"

"This is the miracle left by the Giant God!"

Countless baptized people knelt beside a huge trench over a hundred meters wide, ten meters deep, and stretching for dozens of kilometers; if it weren’t so short, it would be a true river!

This place was called the "Trench of the Giant God."

It was the colossal war facility dug by the Giant God to attack the hateful and powerful Chaos Demon God.

Now, on both sides of the Giant Trench, people could still see big water ponds, each over a hundred meters across; from above, these ponds looked claw-like.

It seemed like some huge creature left giant footprints here!

And that was true.

"When the Giant God struck a deadly blow against the Chaos Demon God, he also left this miracle!"

"Among it is the sacred liquid left for us by the Giant God!"

"They absorbed the evil blood flowing from the Chaos Demon God, purifying and taking it in!"

"Though diluted by rainwater, it was still incredibly sacred!"

"Now, jump in!"

"Go bathe in the sacred water flowing from the Giant God!"

"This is the reward for your brave battles!"

With Albert Drake’s command, all the bathers on the shore, wearing bathrobes, jumped into the "Trench of the Giant God."

"Hiss…"

"Mm…"

Soon, all the "bathers" floating in the water glowing with "golden light" felt their pores open, as if endless power flowed into their bodies.

At the same time…

"Hiss…"

"This is…"

All the warriors’ bodies changed greatly.

Not only did they grow very tall like their Chosen Warrior elders, but their looks changed too.

Most grew things like fangs.

Many others sprouted armor like Chitinous Shell on key skin spots!

"Bang!"

"Thud!"

Some warriors tapped their armor in surprise and found that no matter how hard they hit, these tough yet bendable armors soaked up all the force!

Even more amazing, some warriors…

"Buzz—!"

The sound of insect-like wings humming filled the air!

That was the noise of thin wings fluttering behind some Chosen Warriors!

These wings seemed to pop up out of nowhere, made from hardened skin bits, and driven by magic-made "virtual muscles" inside their bodies.

"Whoosh…"

As everyone watched in awe and envy, some warriors slowly flew into the sky!

These changes were new and never seen before in Chosen Warriors!

"Great is the Giant God!"

After finishing the bath and becoming Chosen Warriors, they knelt on one knee, praising the Giant God before the "Trench of the Giant God."

—-

"Great is the Giant God!"

Albert Drake looked at the changed Chosen Warriors, praising the name of the Giant God.

"Yes."

"Great is the Giant God."

Behind her, her pure white hair flowed in the wind, and under her white eyelashes lay beautiful eyes as cold as autumn water.

Only Loseta, always seen as "icy" by others, felt the prayer and praise had an "inorganic" feel.

Her slim yet full figure was covered in a silver bodysuit made of special material; it resembled battle suits from MUV and EVA, but a common robe of the Valaharl people hid it all.

She looked like a snow-capped mountain standing proud on the earth.

Albert Drake was like fire, while Loseta was like ice, a stark contrast.

Of course, only Loseta knew that facing the Giant God, her heart wasn’t "cold" at all.

"Mm…"

She remembered the feeling from before and the sensation of being "favored" by the Giant God.

That contrast…

"Luckily, the Giant God knows."

"I know."

"Others don’t know."

"Otherwise…"

Loseta wondered how the straightforward Albert Drake would judge her actions before the Giant God.

But the most striking thing was the four mechanical arms behind her; they moved busily as if they had minds of their own.

The arms were fitted with nimble hands, one gripping a test tube, while the other three held magic scanners, seeming to scan special liquid samples.

"Ahem…"

A cough sounded from behind.

"Living Saint Loseta."

"What are the sample analysis results?"

That was the voice of Icarus, a technical officer.

After the net path battle, he had also come to Valaharl.

Valaharl’s technology was far better than Themis, with many secret passages to the Sea of Ether and a huge underground city, making it ideal for industry.

Plus, there were plenty of divine grace mounds left by the Giant God; as for the "Tree of Worlds" fibers, the "outer skin fibers" of the Giant God’s Tower worked similarly, though a bit worse in some ways.

But with hundreds of times the output, that small quality gap could be ignored.

So, while the battleship hub stayed in the Bubble World of Themis, the shipyards for cruisers, destroyers, and frigates moved to Valaharl.

Research centers relocated there too.

The whole "Chaos Resistance Army" center was shifting toward the Bubble World of Valaharl.

Thus, Icarus came to Valaharl.

There, he saw the new "living saint" and was amazed by her and the other Valaharl researchers’ skills, knowledge, and efficiency.

He also found it strange that the usually efficient Loseta was suddenly lost in thought for no apparent reason.

"Yes."

Loseta’s tone was calm, as if her moment of distraction had never happened.

She was very good at covering up her slip.

"We discovered that the ‘sacred liquid’ from the Giant God seemed to have a special capability."

"Drip…"

As she spoke, Loseta dropped a drop of blood into the sample liquid.

"Buzz——!"

The test tube gave off a bright glow!

Then, it faded and went back to normal.

"The ‘sacred liquid’ could blend power."

"The power of demons."

"The power of demon gods."

"Taking the ‘sacred liquid’ causes changes."

Icarus’s eyes opened wide in shock.

"Great is the Giant God!"

"So you mean…"

He looked at the "Chosen Warriors," who had grown fangs, gotten chitin skin, and even sprouted wings, and his face showed he understood.

"In other words, this new group of ‘Chosen Warriors’ has actually gained the power of those two chaos deities!?"

"This would help us more against chaos…"

"Buzz——Woo——!"

Icarus the technical officer’s words were cut off by a sharp alarm sound!

"Hear that noise…"

"Chaos invasion!?"

"Or a big invasion level!?"
