Chapter 94: Avenging the Dead Brothers (2)

Wu Shaopin’s answer clearly admitted that he was the one who ordered the burning of Zuo Mingyang’s residence!

However, one sentence in this response made Lou Yun’s eyes light up and his heartbeat suddenly quicken!

Two white horses ran out; they were very likely the two dragon horses he and Wan Huier had bought. Could the people riding them have been Wan Huier and Zuo Mingyang?

To test his idea, Lou Yun tentatively asked, "Do you know who was riding those white horses when they ran out that night?"

"Nonsense! How could I see clearly who rode the horses on such a dark night? Boy, aren’t you someone who escaped that night?"

Lou Yun let out a long sigh; his hope that Wan Huier and Zuo Mingyang hadn’t died grew stronger, but he kept his expression calm and said, "Fine, it’s bold of you to admit. But I have another question: why didn’t any of those many people escape?"

Wu Shaopin was clearly extremely proud of killing so many of Zuo Mingyang’s men. He grinned triumphantly and looked at Lou Yun smugly: "That’s simple! I bribed one of Zuo Mingyang’s subordinates beforehand to slip a drug into the wine. Those foolish bandits were all heavy drinkers; once they drank, they naturally couldn’t escape!"

Lou Yun raised a finger and said, "Good, one last question: why did you do this?"

Wu Shaopin glared at Lou Yun: "Nonsense! That damn Zuo Mingyang always opposed me everywhere. I taught him a lesson by having someone break his leg. I thought he’d wise up, but instead of chilling out, he got even fiercer—I nearly died at his hands! Of course I wouldn’t let them get away!"

Lou Yun nodded. Since Wu Shaopin had confessed everything, he didn’t need to hold back. He brushed his messy hair back and revealed his face: "Look and see if you recognize me!"

Wu Shaopin stared at Lou Yun’s face for a while, then finally showed a look of realization and pointed: "Oh! I remember now—you’re the one who bought horses!"

"Good that you recognize me!" Lou Yun burst into crazed laughter: "Wu Shaopin! Today, I will avenge nearly a hundred brothers of Old Brother Zuo who died, and wash the Wu family with blood!"

"Hahahaha!" To Wu Shaopin, Lou Yun’s words sounded like the funniest joke. He doubled over laughing, and the other Wu family members joined in, guffawing loudly.

Suddenly, a powerful killing intent erupted from Lou Yun, forming a visible wave that spread from his body toward the Wu family members.

Mid-laughter, they all abruptly felt a chill; the boundless killing intent swept right through them, choking their screams in their throats and freezing their smiles stiff.

At that moment, they realized the man before them wasn’t joking—he truly seemed capable of washing the Wu family with blood!

Then, two Dream Emperor Swords materialized in Lou Yun’s hands. He casually slashed to both sides beside his body, leaving over five-meter-long cracks in the ground on each flank.

"Today, whoever can cross this line, I’ll spare. Now, die!"

As the words fell, Lou Yun vanished like a ghost. Before they could react, screams rose one after another around them.

Lou Yun moved through the Wu family members like a drifting leaf, the Dream Emperor Swords whirling in his hands. Everywhere he passed, he drew blood and claimed a life.

Although the Wu family members held their magical weapons, their eyes couldn’t follow Lou Yun’s movements, much less fight back. Like lambs for slaughter with no power to resist—they could only wait to die. In moments, over twenty Wu family members lay in pools of blood!

Only Wu Shaopin stood amid the corpses, face filled with terror, legs trembling. Beneath him, a yellow stream of foul-smelling liquid flowed out.

He had wet himself in fright!

Just then, a voice as if from hell’s depths whispered beside Wu Shaopin: "You’re alive not by luck, but so you can watch your whole family perish. Only then will it be your turn!"

"Ah!" Wu Shaopin finally let out a shrill scream: "Father! Elders! Come save me!"

Lou Yun remained standing in the middle of his drawn line, watching coldly without stopping the plea for help. He had no idea of the layout inside the Wu manor, and such a family surely had traps there—hard to guard against. To shun trouble, he decided to let Wu Shaopin lure all the Wu family members out.

Wu Shaopin was petrified; he forgot even to flee, only screaming for help where he stood. Even if he’d sought escape, his jellied legs likely wouldn’t have obeyed.

Actually, most of the Wu family knew an enemy was causing trouble, but they were too spoiled by easy living to care. They thought it was just some fool stirring a minor fuss, so their experts stayed hidden.

Those who could’ve escaped back to report were all lying dead at the Wu family’s gate!

Then, Wu Shaopin’s piercing shriek reached the Wu experts’ ears. They knew things weren’t as simple as imagined. After some shuffling, another group appeared before the gate.

When they saw the horror before them, everyone froze, unable to believe their eyes. They stood there blank, knowing not how to react.

Lou Yun remained motionless in his spot as he watched the new Wu family members emerge. His spiritual senses swept over them—good, this batch was stronger than the previous one, but only marginally so. The highest was merely a high-level three-star magical weapons master. With his own strength, he could still handle them.

Seeing the newcomers, Wu Shaopin finally regained some color in his face and shrieked with trembling voice, "Hurry, save me! Kill him! Kill him! Kill him quickly now!"

The group finally snapped back to reality, their gazes shifting uniformly toward Lou Yun. A middle-aged man among them shouted angrily, "Who are you? Your heart is so vicious! How has our Wu family wronged you that you’d resort to such cruelty?"

Lou Yun gave a faint smile. "Originally, we held no enmity. But your family’s young master murdered nearly a hundred of my brothers, using underhanded tactics like knockout drugs. Today, I’ve come to collect this blood debt from your Wu family."

Then Lou Yun pointed again at the sword marks on the ground flanking him. "I already stated this once, but you didn’t hear it, so I’ll repeat myself. Today, anyone who can cross this line will be spared. Those who don’t—death awaits."

"Kid, you’re too arrogant! Do you think you alone can wipe out our Wu family?" Another middle-aged man yelled at Lou Yun.

"Whether I can wipe out your Wu family—why not give it a try?"

Once more, Lou Yun activated the Wind Play Decision movement technique, transforming into a leaf as he shot into the crowd with blinding speed.

With high-level magical weapons masters present, Lou Yun had already decided: first eliminate the weaker cultivators at maximum speed, then focus on dealing with the high-level magical weapons masters.

And so began another one-sided slaughter!

Of the thirty-plus Wu family members who’d emerged this time, fewer than ten were high-level magical weapons masters. The other twenty-some were all mid-level magical weapons masters. Under the assault of Lou Yun’s lightning-fast movement techniques and unpredictable weapon techniques, all fell dead within mere minutes.

Only nine high-level magical weapons masters remained—still reeling in confusion.

Their daze was Lou Yun’s opportunity. Seizing the moment, he launched two Dream Emperor Swords imbued with the Heavenly Gang Unison technique. They pierced straight through the dantians of two high-level masters. Simultaneously, two more Dream Emperor Swords materialized in his hands. With a cold laugh, he charged into the remaining seven.

Sword Whipping Whirlwind!

Sword Piercing Cloud Shadows!

Sword Swirling Waterfall!

Heavenly Gang Unison!

Sky Fierce, Earth Fierce, Human Fierce Sword!

Lou Yun unleashed every weapon technique he knew without reservation. As his left sword plunged into one master’s abdomen, his right Dream Emperor Sword suddenly morphed into a Dream Emperor Spear, elongating violently to pierce another master’s belly. The latter’s eyes widened—dying without understanding how Lou Yun’s magical weapon had transformed from sword to spear.

Just as this master collapsed, the body of the man Lou Yun had stabbed earlier suddenly exploded. Blood showered the air, flesh and bones sprayed in all directions—a crimson mist blooming around Lou Yun.

One Wu clan member roared, swinging his twin axes down at Lou Yun. Lou Yun crossed his swords to block the blow, but with two crisp cracks, both his swords shattered completely.

The Wu member grinned in triumph, thinking he’d shattered Lou Yun’s magical weapons. But before his smile fully formed, he saw a ghostly grin spread across Lou Yun’s face. A fist sheathed in blue lightning crashed into the Wu member’s belly.

Bang! Heavenly thunder erupted at his abdomen, leaving a massive bloody cavity. Staring in disbelief, the man toppled backward.

And so, in an instant, Lou Yun slew six more high-level Wu family magical weapons masters. Without pause, his feet carried him toward the sole remaining high-level three-star magical weapons master.

Lou Yun’s two secondary magical weapons had just been intentionally shattered and hadn’t yet reformed. Instead, he punched directly toward his opponent.

The Wu member had witnessed the devastating power of those fists moments before. His face paled, but he didn’t dodge. Instead, brilliant white light burst from his body—solidifying into a suit of white battle armor. This was a high-level magical weapons master’s new ability: to manifest their magical weapon as protective armor.

Lou Yun’s fist slammed violently against the armor. The Wu member’s face instantly went deathly pale. He’d assumed his high cultivation and protective armor would minimize any damage—unaware Lou Yun had undergone the Third Body Refinement. The sheer power in those fists defied imagination. The solid impact delivered staggering pain.

The punch struck and exploded. This Wu member finally wailed, staggering backward. His armor vanished, coalescing into a massive broadsword clutched in his hand.

Just as Lou Yun prepared to pursue him, Chang Xiang urgently warned, "Careful! A true expert approaches!"

Lou Yun instantly retracted his fists and leaped back. Four aged men appeared before him—each standing upon a magical weapon. These were the Wu family’s four strongest: Clan Head Wu Jing and the three family elders.

By now, bodies piled like mountains before the Wu family gates; blood flowed like a river. Within this short span, Lou Yun had slaughtered sixty Wu family members. The Wu family’s remaining strength now consisted only of these six magical weapons masters—including the near-worthless Wu Shaopin.

The four elders took in the horrendous scene before them—faces contorting with grief and furious rage. How could nearly an entire clan be decimated so swiftly? Even with two members left, the Wu family wouldn’t survive this day. Any hope of future resurgence was crushed.

No more words were needed. Their sole thought: kill Lou Yun. But not too quickly! He would endure every torture the world offered! They would deny him life or death! Even that wouldn’t slake their hatred!
