Chapter 155: The Strongest Predatory Insect in History!

“Crack—!”

The sky split apart, fragments of the invisible Crystal Walls drifting down like mournfully beautiful snowflakes.

Though formless, they carved clear magical trails through the air.

The Crystal Walls couldn’t shatter naturally.

The true culprit—or at least its minions—soon appeared!

“Ziii…”

Sulya watched several low-level Outer Gods from the Void descend through the "sky crack."

They spread thin membranous wings etched with sanity-draining patterns, emitting a mind-melting buzzing.

“Is this a combat test?!”

“I won’t lose!”

“Buzz—!”

The Trilobite Mantis Sulya beat her sheath-protected wings, soaring skyward!

Yet her flight remained inefficient, likely due to its Trilobite foundation.

To house agile network nodes and power the Smashing Claw, Sulya’s second body couldn’t travel light, failing to match the Outer Gods’ fluid maneuvers.

Theoretically, these agile foes should overwhelm her.

Facing multiple Outer Gods, their hit-and-run tactics should guarantee victory.

But the Outer Gods didn’t play by logic.

“Buzz… buzz…”

Whether scorning mortal creations, divine pride, or size advantage, they arrogantly lunged at Sulya!

“Ziii—!”

One Outer God spread massive wings, snapping twisted mouthparts as it dove toward the battleship Giant God’s Radiance!

Sulya seemed oblivious, kept flying clumsily.

“Zii!”

The Outer God closed in triumphantly!

Then—Sulya accelerated violently!

“Whoosh—!”

Her movements turned lethally precise as she struck at the Outer God’s head!

“Die—!”

The living saint’s roar pierced the Outer God’s very Soul, stunning the deity with a mortal demigod’s courage!

It froze for one critical second—

The exact opening Sulya needed.

“Give me one second!”

“I shall slay the god!”

“Holy Light from the Sun gathered!”

“Smashing Claw fully charged!”

“For the Giant God’s Great Expedition!”

She drew near the Outer God from the Void’s head, then…

“Bang—!”

The Smashing Claw shot forward at blinding speed, unleashing all stored power with a thunderous roar!

“Boom!”

Purple sparks flashed across the sky, followed by terrifying thunder.

Then came…

“Pshhh—!”

The sickening crunch of tearing flesh and shattering carapace!

The Smashing Claw not only snapped the Outer God’s head backward but shattered its hateful glowing eyes.

Yet Sulya, newly empowered, had no intention of stopping at eye-shattering!

Her gaze dropped groundward.

A “tiny thing” caught her eye.

A flash of white radiating gold—rumored to be the newly ascended “living saint.”

Three living saints gathered at Valaharl!

Sulya recalled this “living saint” had smashed an Outer God’s eyes while still a “Chosen Warrior!”

She knew this Valaharl saint watched her “performance” with upturned face!

As the veteran, pride stirred within her.

The thirst for victory ignited.

“Great is the Giant God!”

“Thank you for the weapon to forge greater deeds!”

As the Smashing Claw obliterated the Outer God’s skull, the “Dark Blade” folded beneath it snapped free!

“Zii—!”

The nauseating sound of piercing flesh echoed!

The razor edge speared through the wound into the Outer God’s brain!

Sulya jerked it upward!

“Whoosh—!”

“Hu… ”

The wings of the Outer Gods from the Void stopped trembling, and it plunged down like a kite with a broken string!

“Hum…”

Sulya swung her wing shells, watching the powerless Outer Gods from the Void fall into the sea.

“Test complete!”

“Now then…”

“What!?”

Reality gave her no time to catch her breath.

Because…

“Buzz—buzz—buzz—!”

A stronger sense of oppression and a more terrifying presence came from the sky!

“Ugh…”

“Ugh…”

The powerful divine might slammed into Sulya’s soul, knocking her focus away for a moment.

During that daze, she fell helplessly. When she woke and tried to steady herself,

“Crack—!”

“Ugh… cough, cough, cough…”

A sharp pain and crushing pressure spread through her body!

“Am I caught by something like a scythe?!”

“Ugh…”

Just after pulling off the feat of “slaying a god,” Trilobite the Trilobite Mantis was grabbed by predatory Limbs and hauled away into the distance.

—-

“Wow!”

“Yeah, a big one showed up!”

“But…”

“This thing’s way too huge!”

Trilobite looked up and saw a giant insect with a wingspan as wide as the ancient giant dragonfly, buzzing as it dove from the sky!

Not only did it match the ancient giant dragonfly in wingspan, but it was also much tougher in build.

Unlike the ancient dragonfly or other “ancient winged insects,” its wings could fully fold and stretch.

This gave it strong movement in the air and on the ground.

Its Limbs were highly specialized; the third pair were long and powerful, like a grasshopper’s thighs, probably allowing great jumping capability.

But the most unique part was the first pair, shaped into scythe-like claws like a mantis for grabbing prey!

With such obvious features, how could Trilobite, who studied paleo creatures, not recognize it?

“This is…”

“Giga Titan Bug!?”

The name sounded a bit amusing.

Of course, this might just be a translation issue.

This giant bug also had a more impressive name—the Titan Chirper!

Although it looked somewhat like a mantis, it was actually a large, specialized insect from the Orthopteran order.

It was a distant relative of creatures like locusts and crickets!

“Those fellows…”

“Should have lived in the Triassic period!”

“They were either products of convergent evolution, or there was solid fossil evidence, or…”

“This was a strange world with a time-space distortion!”

“Hmm…”

Trilobite pondered the origins of this creature and what its appearance truly meant.

However, it was clearly not the time to consider this!

It let out a fierce, loud call and charged toward the “Trilobite Mantis,” which had just defeated the giant-winged bug!

“Crack—!”

With a sharp snap, the Trilobite Mantis was tightly clamped by the predatory scythe limbs, and it flapped its wings, flying toward the distant land!

“Damn!”

“Here comes another one?”

“They’re kidnapping my paper young lady!”

That blonde young lady was the first “paper young lady” for Trilobite, and she held special significance as “Trilobite’s young lady.”

Just earlier, he had given this “first paper young lady” over twenty thousand!

And now she was being kidnapped!?

“This is unacceptable!”

“This is outrageous!”

Thinking of this, without a second thought, Trilobite crawled out of the “lake” and dove into the shore full of tall “mushrooms.”

【Wait!】

【That’s a trap!】

Valaharl shouted anxiously.

But driven by anger and hunger, Trilobite ignored everything and chased directly after the escaping Titan Chirper.
