Chapter 159: With a Mortal Body, Fight the Giant Demon God! 3/7

"What was that useless Abraham up to?"

The chaos deity Momo lifted his head and looked toward the cluster of "mushrooms."

It was quiet there, as if nothing had happened.

But just then…

"Boom—!"

"Crash—!"

The reversed "World Nails" suddenly shook!

Then…

"Zing—!"

"Crack—!"

A distress signal made of magical notes came through.

The newly appointed middle councilor Abraham was calling for help!

"How was that possible!?"

"According to our calculations, that fellow shouldn’t have arrived this quickly!"

"Could there be a second ‘Ether Dragon’ in this Bubble World?"

"Or did our target have an ally from the Outer Gods?"

Momo thought for a moment, then used his strong limbs to drag himself slowly toward the place where the "mushrooms were shaking."

Perhaps he didn’t really want to rescue that useless Abraham.

But he understood that in his current state, if he didn’t help Abraham and the enemy truly had more numbers, he’d be the next to die!

Leaving this completely reversed Bubble World wouldn’t be as easy as entering it.

If Momo fell, the situation could turn from two against one to one against two!

So…

"Regardless, I must help!"

"And I must be quick!"

Momo gently picked up the "Beetle"-like bait.

"Thud… thud… thud…"

His giant lizard-like divine body began moving fast. Though his thick limbs lacked sharp claws, they were strong enough to drag his long frame forward swiftly!

But at that moment…

"Whoosh…"

Something seemed to land lightly on his scalp.

This tiny thing didn’t catch Momo’s attention at all.

He was fully focused, thinking about how to use his sharp teeth to crush the head of that "Outer God" or "Ether Dragon!"

But underestimating small things was a mistake.

Even an anthill can destroy a thousand-mile dam.

Though they might lack the capability to ruin such a dam, sometimes they could deliver terrible pain!

So…

"Sss—!"

That faint bite sound went unnoticed by Momo. He only felt a sudden sting on his "scalp!"

Then…

"Ugh…"

"Ugh… ugh… AAAAAAAAH—!"

Excruciating pain shot through his divine nerves and blood vessels, reaching his thinking center, tormenting him beyond endurance.

Screams tore through the vast clearing.

He frantically shook his head, trying to fling away the agony.

It didn’t help at all.

The pain clung to him like a shadow!

Instead…

"Fwoosh—!"

The "Beetle" used as bait went flying during his crazed head-thrashing.

She landed in distant thickets of "Reversed World Nails" and vanished.

Momo roared in fury, the burning itch making him forget his mission—to rescue Abraham.

"Damn it!"

"Who! Who dares do this?!"

"Dare to cause me such pain!"

"I’ll tear them to shreds!"

"Guh…"

Cursing brought no relief.

The pain persisted.

He strained his short arms to reach his forehead, desperate to crush that venom-injecting pest.

But…

"Damn!"

"Can’t reach!"

"What cursed divine body is this?!"

Yes, while the Lake Dragon resembled a giant lizard in form, its arms were not as long as those of mature "scale dragons" from later times. Those small and primitive forelimbs couldn’t reach its head at all.

In utter despair, Momo could only roll on the ground.

"Huff… huff… huff…"

His breathing grew rapid, and his vision blurred.

"Normally, this little pain—even venom—would be nothing!"

"But now…"

Momo tried channeling all his magic power to expel the venom invading through his head wound, to heal the injury and numb the pain.

Yet the terrible truth was…

"Urk…"

What once required barely noticeable magic now proved impossible!

His magic seemed blocked by something!

"Is it you?!"

Momo glared at the "golden specks" floating above him. They emitted constant magical interference and streamed into his nostrils with each ragged breath.

Those things caused enough trouble in the air, but now inside him…

He was completely screwed!

Now he understood why even basic healing magic—or simple pain relief—wouldn’t form.

"The whole world opposes me!"

"This spells disaster!"

"The ‘Bubble World’ has gained a weapon against our chaos!"

"But…"

"Don’t celebrate yet!"

"Thud—!"

He slammed his head violently against the ground, then scraped it fiercely!

"Thump—!"

A tiny white creature tumbled out from Momo’s head.

It collapsed, appearing unable to move.

"Hah! Got you!"

"You’re the one making me itch and burn!"

"You—!"

His triumph vanished instantly when he recognized the tormentor—just a mortal!

Though Loseta, as a "living saint," qualified as a "demigod," no deity acknowledged such status.

Demigods remained mortals; they merely wielded greater power.

Deities looked down upon mortals the most.

No, in the eyes of deities, mortals didn’t even warrant being looked down upon.

It could only be described as a feeling of "neglect," much like how one treats the dust beneath their feet.

Only when these "dust particles" were organized on a large scale did deities feel they had some value.

But now, a tiny mortal, an object only worthy of being ignored, had actually caused serious harm to a core councilor of the Chaos Council.

“What a great desecration!”

“Mortals! You must pay the price for this!”

His immense shadow loomed over the white "spider-like" construct, and his gigantic foot looked ready to stomp down!

—-

“Ha…”

Loseta lay on the ground, staring directly at the Chaos Demon God’s powerful divine body through the observation eye of the "jumping spider construct," feeling his overwhelming divine might.

If this had been before, she would have probably had her brain explode and died.

At best, she would have completely lost her sanity and crazily harmed herself, hoping to free herself from the endless abyss and fear.

But now, she felt no fear at all.

In fact, she felt like laughing a little.

“Hum…”

It was no longer just a desire to laugh; she laughed out loud.

“Did the Giant God make me turn out like this?”

She felt the energy flowing within her; the aura of the Giant God still comforted her, helping her withstand the terrifying pressure of the Chaos Demon God.

What was even more miraculous was that the floating light specks in the air seemed to help block the divine might, letting her gaze directly at the Chaos Demon God.

“Ugly creature.”

“How does it feel to have fangs…?”

Loseta chuckled lightly.

She faced the enormous foot about to come down with calmness.

She could no longer escape.

It wasn’t an easy task to bite through the tough skin of the Chaos Demon God and inject enough venom; to hurt the chaos deity badly, Loseta used all her energy to concentrate and refine the venom, then forced it into the Chaos Demon God’s body!

Now, Loseta couldn’t move even a finger.

The new life she had fought hard for, the bright future she had finally reached after endless suffering, seemed about to end?

A little regretful?

“No…”

Loseta shook her head.

“Time had been gained.”

“For the Giant God, I shall die.”

“Die with meaning.”

“Great is the Giant God.”

She quietly awaited death.

But…

“Living saint Loseta!”

“Don’t get so emotional about yourself!”

“Don’t underestimate our master!”

That was the voice of “the first living saint,” Sulya!

“Our master will never abandon anyone who fights loyally for her!”

“Buzz—!”

Sulya flapped her wings and suddenly lunged toward Momo.

Momo, drawn by the loud sound of her wings, turned his head and saw the flying beetle.

He reached out his palm, wanting to swat her down.

However…

“Thud… thud… thud…”

The sound of heavy limbs hitting the ground rang out!

An even bigger divine body than Momo suddenly charged in from the side!
