Chapter 187: The Sacred Assault of Jumping into Battle!

"Commander, should we…"

"Call in the backup fleet?"

A nervous deputy asked the Fleet Commander with the rising sun emblem.

His name was Yangying, from one of the top regent families in the Triton Empire.

Unlike other high nobles who used their fleets as fake last names, Yangying was born a regent noble.

Regent nobles were the highest class in the Triton Empire, with the biggest families being "Iridium," "Montecarl," and "Kongyu." Commander Yangying was the rising star of the Kongyu family.

He loved close combat.

Most Triton Empire nobles were strong in long-range fights but hated close combat. Kongyu Yangying, however, enjoyed it up close.

He had fought gladiators in the arena himself many times.

If Iridium Foresight hadn’t sent him on this chase, Kongyu Yangying would have gone anyway.

Because…

"Slap!"

He slapped the warning deputy captain hard.

"Fool!"

"That ship has the glory I’m hunting! Get it!?"

To honor the "Great Primordial Deity," a big festival called the "Primordial Festival" was about to start in the Bubble World "Bismuth."

How could such a huge event miss the fun of gladiator fights, which everyone loved?

And how could Kongyu Yangying skip something that exciting?

He had already picked his target—top gladiator Angna.

"That gladiator Angna is mine!"

Angna only told Sylvia her name because time was short.

Kongyu Yangying, though, knew her well.

Angna came from the Bubble World "Canaan," now called "Bismuth."

She wasn’t a killer before—she was a famous tech expert and healer in Canaan, proud of her forging and saving lives.

Her good life ended when the Triton Empire invaded.

The Triton Empire thought the old Canaan Empire’s skills were weak.

So, many scholars and craftsmen, often thin, were killed. But Angna, being strong, was sold as a slave.

Maybe to be cruel, they made her a gladiator—the opposite of her old job. Her master mocked her "strength" by putting a curse from the Great Primordial Deity in her soul.

After that, no matter how strong Angna’s will was, she fell into killing, lost in endless violence.

But that story didn’t matter to Kongyu Yangying.

What really mattered was…

“She had fought 999 battles without a single loss in ten years!”

“You didn’t realize how powerful, skilled, artistic, precise, and deadly her fighting moves were!”

“She must have blended her forging and healing skills into her battles!”

“A warrior like her was exactly the prey I hunted!”

“I aimed to decorate my wall of glory with her head!”

“But now, she’d been snatched away so shamefully by the followers of the evil god!”

“I couldn’t accept this!”

Here, Kongyu Yangying puffed out his chest and spoke with great pride.

“But I heard those ‘evil god followers’ are tough too!”

“Good! If they give me an exciting fight, I might forgive them and grant them a glorious, painless death!”

“If they disappointed me…”

Kongyu Yangying clenched his fist.

But just then…

“Boom—!”

The battleship shook softly.

“Thud! Thud! Thud!”

“Boom! Boom!”

“Bang!”

“Vroom—!”

Inside this Serpent Wind-class cruiser, noises filled the air: iron boots thumping the deck, gunshots, and the buzzing of magical chainsaws!

“What?!”

“What happened?”

The nearby officers panicked right away.

“Jumping into battle?!”

“Are… you joking?!”

“We’re in the Sea of Ether!”

“Damn it!”

“Are the watchmen blind and deaf?!”

Amid the chaos, Kongyu Yangying stayed calm.

Instead, he was overjoyed!

“Perfect! My glory is here!”

"Gather my guard! I’ll confront them personally!"

Hearing this from the "regent noble," the adjutant immediately panicked.

"This… isn’t advisable!"

"Mobilizing the guard takes time, and…"

"We don’t even know which part of the ship they’ve boarded from."

He dared not let this rising star of the regent noble family risk his life.

The so-called "glory" in the arena? Merely arena bosses or other nobles drugging gladiators or tampering with their souls before matches to curry favor with the Kongyu family’s young master.

That’s how those gladiators "skillfully" lost to Kongyu Yangying.

But this was real warfare—no arena safety nets!

No room for games.

Though layered defenses from guards and marines should eliminate boarders quickly, minimizing danger…

What if the unexpected happened?

Blades show no mercy; bullets even less. A stray round grazing him…

Would mean death for them all!

"What’s there to fear? My guard is invincible!"

"They wield the finest magic-dissolving rifles and magic-piercing swords—each a close-combat master!"

"Plus myself, Kongyu Yangying, peerless in martial arts. No possible—"

"Boom—!"

The combat-obsessed commander’s boast was cut short.

Shattered by the command cabin door exploding inward.

"Bang—!"

"Agh!"

An armored warrior—crowned with twisted horns—screamed as he crashed inside.

Thoroughly devilized.

Horns sprouted from his skull; two extra arms tore through his back.

"Mad Blade?"

Kongyu Yangying recognized him. One of his personal guards, among his deadliest!

Yet now, this once-formidable fighter crumpled like discarded rags, sprawled brokenly on the deck.

His massive frame had just obliterated the reinforced door.

Through the wreckage, Kongyu Yangying finally witnessed the horror outside:

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Heavy armored warriors advanced with chilling precision. Magic guns in one hand, magic chainsaws or enchanted axes in the other—methodical. Silent. Relentless.

Their guns kept roaring, spitting flames as they fired deadly large-caliber bullets at the Trinitum warriors one by one!

“Thump!”

“Argh!”

Those terrifying bullets flew true as if guided, exploding upon impact with the warriors’ bodies—blowing away half a torso or obliterating a head entirely!

Yet when the magical energy bows of the Trinitum warriors struck the armored warriors, they only produced dull *thuds* and *clangs*, like stones hitting sheet metal.

“Agh!”

“Kill them—!”

Several Trinitum warriors dropped their magical energy bows, raising enchanted longswords as they charged forward.

They likely hoped to exploit their lighter armor and greater agility to pin down the enemy.

But…

“Bzzzz—!”

“Squelch!”

The sound of a chainsaw tearing through flesh echoed.

The seemingly cumbersome armor possessed startling agility; warriors who rushed in were cut down by the armored warriors in a single exchange.

“Thump!”

Massive iron boots trampled their corpses as the armored warriors advanced steadily, death angels striding with grim purpose.

Finally, the distance closed sufficiently!

The lead armored warrior thrust his left hand high.

“Blood sacrifice for the Giant God!”

“Skull offering!”

“Kill—!”

“Kill!”

As the battle cry erupted, the armored warriors charged forth like an avalanche, weathering the enemy’s ranged fire.

Full-scale close combat erupted instantly.

“Aaaaah—!”

“Save me!”

“Monsters! Monsters!”

The moment the lines met, the Trinitum warriors shattered.

It was inevitable.

Seeing comrades split by chainsaws, necks hewn by magical axes, spines crushed by iron gauntlets; witnessing broken limbs and organs littering the ground or clinging to armored plates—even the hardiest Trinitum warriors broke.

Commander Kongyu Yangying reeled as well.

For it was his own elite guard—his meticulously trained, close-combat specialists—being ruthlessly slaughtered and routed at the command room entrance by these armored warriors!

“This… how could this be…”

“Why such a gap…”

Kongyu Yangying’s mind went blank.

He’d grown too accustomed to easy victories; when faced with the incomprehensible, he became utterly lost.

A commander stripped of basic instincts had no power to resist!

Under two minutes later.

“Click—!”

The muzzle of a magic firearm pressed against Kongyu Yangying’s forehead.

“Are you Kongyu Yangying?”

“Ah, Angna, do you recognize him?”

“Verify his identity.”

A playful, metallic female voice cut through the air.

Its owner wore a top hat and powered high heels, her frame tall and curvaceous.

After armored warriors eliminated all resistance forces, she stepped forward, aiming her weapon at the noble, untouchable Kongyu Yangying.

“Yes, Ms. Sylvia, it’s him.”

Angna—dark-skinned and golden-haired—emerged behind the woman.

She was Kongyu Yangying’s designated “prey.”

No longer clad in “bikini armor,” Angna now wore a fitted combat suit identical to Purity Officer Sylvia’s.

The suit served as flexible armor with formidable defense, shielded against force fields, and repelled etheric liquid.

Yet Angna’s lacked Sylvia’s towering wide-brimmed hat and shoulder guards etched with “miniature churches.”

Outmaneuvered by his own prey…

This humiliation crushed Kongyu Yangying.

“No—!”

He roared and lunged!

But…

“Thud—!”

A powered high heel slammed into his gut, crushing it inward.

“Agh—!”

“Bastards—!”

“You’re… all dead…”

*Cough… cough…*

Defiant even while writhing in agony, Kongyu Yangying spat threats through gritted teeth.

Sylvia inquired with amusement,

“Oh? How exactly shall we perish…”

“Hmm…”

“Boom—!”

The hull convulsed violently, as if seized by a colossal force.

“Roar roar roar roar roar—!”

A vicious bellow echoed!

Then…

“Whoosh—!”

The “Serpent Wind-class” cruiser was clamped in a massive maw, dragged into the depths!

Triumph flashed in Kongyu Yangying’s eyes.

“The Great Primordial Deity’s etheric worm and etheric serpent fleet has come!”

“Likely commanded to assault your main forces!”

“They’re infamous for attacking indiscriminately!”

“You and your backers stand no chance—prepare to be consumed.”

At that instant…

“Boom—!”

Terrifying fangs ripped through the command room’s vast viewport!

“Whoosh—!”

“Agh—!”

Kongyu Yangying vanished into the abyssal maw, sucked out by colossal suction!

Gladiator Angna followed into the void!
