Chapter 211: Zhang Tianhua’s Spring

The earth has many axes, and the core of it is called the Earth Court, where various ancient jades are abundantly produced.

Since ancient times, great powers have ventured deep into the Earth Court to extract ancient jades in search of the Jade Heart. The Jade Heart of the Earth Court is referenced in many ancient texts, primarily for its miraculous effects.

“Is it really the Jade Heart of the Earth Court? Yes, it must be the Jade Heart!”

Li Hui thought to himself, “Only through the Jade Heart of the Earth Court can one determine the accurate position of the earth’s axis. This jade heart is the most precious treasure I have obtained to date! Even the Extreme Path Spiritual Boulder needed to enhance my Ideal Body to the corresponding level of the Bosa stage is far inferior.”

“This is truly a Heavenly Treasure and Earthly Treasure, a once-in-a-lifetime rarity! Although this Jade Heart of the Earth Court is small, it is enough to suppress evil and heretical forces. In the hands of a monk, it becomes a Buddhist heart; in the hands of our generation, it becomes the heart of Dao; and in the hands of a Demon Cultivator, it can transform into a pure demonic heart, preventing outside demons from invading and causing all demonic creatures to retreat. Moreover, having it by my side ensures immunity to most poisons, easily neutralizing ordinary toxins!”

“With this Jade Heart of the Earth Court, as a cultivator devoted to the Dao, my suppression of the Luohan fruit can reach new heights, free from the disturbance of distractions. Once my cultivation increases, I can rely on the Jade Heart of the Earth Court to accumulate righteous energy and even use the Luohan fruit in reverse.”

Suppressing his excitement, Li Hui kept his eyes closed until he had consumed another piece of High Dragon Miao Jade to nourish the Heavenly and Earthly Arrays before finally rising.

Jin Mingyang and Qian Duohai were still in deep meditation. Once these two broke through, who knows how many disputes would arise? A cultivator entering the Condense Essence Stage is no idle matter, and their strength will greatly increase. Even though he possessed some ultimate techniques, he couldn’t be sure the others wouldn’t have any unique methods to strike him with thunder.

So, it was time to leave and search for the axis of the earth.

With a whoosh, Li Hui dashed toward the passage, only to find many areas had collapsed once inside. However, as long as there was a gap, he could miraculously pass through it under the rotation of the Ideal Body’s afterimage.

“Kun, the earth! What a wondrous Taikung Marrow Wash Liquid! It has significantly strengthened my Ideal Body, so I don’t even need to bother clearing the passage.”

As Li Hui rushed toward the surface, he thought, “The Reverse Five Element Spirit Light Worms are hidden below the formation, and there must be valuable items left in their lair. But to make them relocate, there must have been a colossal change underground; I’ll leave the exploration to Jin Mingyang and Qian Duohai!”

After spending a full half-hour navigating through countless complex terrains and using many detecting talismans, he finally found a route and stepped onto the surface.

As soon as he emerged, he was hit by a foul stench, and a quick glance terrified him.

Not far from the exit was a gigantic impact crater, over a hundred zhang wide. The area around the crater was charred black, littered with numerous corpses, and thick smoke filled the air along with spiritual insects, leaving no sign of vegetation.

Worse yet, after the fall of Corpse Island, it emitted blood poison, causing spiritual beasts and insects to mutate. Many of the spiritual insects were expanding, their bodies swelling with tumors, both large and small, looking extremely horrifying.

Li Hui was not afraid of poisons. He quickly identified the direction and darted forward, skimming just above the ground with astonishing speed, disappearing from sight in an instant.

Once he plunged into the jungle, though, he found himself facing even greater obstacles.

Previously, the Hongmo Sect had planted seeds of Blood Thorn, and now they had fully grown into blood-red thorns wrapping around towering ancient trees, frantically absorbing the life force of the trees and visibly producing olive-shaped fruits at incredible speeds.

When the fruits grew to the size of human heads, they would explode with a loud bang, splattering highly corrosive black water, instantly polluting the jungle and rapidly turning the lush forest into a black wilderness.

Li Hui did not detour. With remarkable skill, he flew straight in.

Around him, loud explosions occasionally echoed as he moved at high speed through the jungle. Suddenly, a fierce wind swept in, causing him to vanish momentarily, narrowly dodging as the wind only displaced his afterimage.

“Roar, roar, roar…” A nearly two zhang-long black lizard, covered in dirt, howled at his retreating figure. Unbeknownst to him, a corpse beast dropped from a withered tree with the surprise of a hunter.

This corpse beast was smaller than the multi-eared lizard but was exceptionally ferocious, its original face unrecognizable as it used its broken claws to latch onto the lizard’s back and violently gnaw at it.

As Li Hui continued on, he encountered numerous corpse beasts and monsters, all engaged in frenzied battles.

Many areas of the island had lost their formation protections, with the coverage of restrictions reduced by at least forty percent, indicating that the Hongmo Sect’s two assault attempts had been quite effective.

From the morning hustle to noon, the sun rose directly overhead. The dazzling sunlight baked the rotting corpses, and blood clouds billowed in the sky, with even the lightning appearing red. The Hongmo Sect was evidently brewing terrifying strategies.

After a long struggle, Li Hui finally spotted some normal vegetation, only to be surrounded by a large formation. With his ears perked up, he stealthily approached while carefully avoiding danger zones. He soon heard the sound of flowing water.

The gentle “ding-dong” sounds surprised him. He discovered that not far from the formation’s edge was a hot spring.

Just then, he heard someone chuckling mischievously, “Haha, I finally caught the chance to take my precious younger sister as my bed partner. You were injured while trying to escape the corpse beasts, and now you’ve found this hot spring to heal. How fortunate for me! Don’t worry; you won’t regret it. I, Zhang Tianhua, thrive on Wan Nest Island, and I’ve obtained the opportunity to reach the mid-Gather Spirit stage. Soon, I will advance to the Condense Essence Stage, and you will gain tremendous benefits by following me.”

Lian Luosha, encased in the water and only wrapped in a red cloth, turned her back to Zhang Tianhua and angrily said, “Shameless! Even if I die, I will destroy this body and will never let you touch a finger!”

“Why must you be like this, Junior Sister? Wouldn’t it be wonderful for us to form a bond? To be honest, my opportunities are not simple; I have already caught the attention of the Hongmo Sect elder in the cave world, who plans to take me as his personal disciple. Once this business on Wan Nest Island is done, I’ll be inducted into the sect, and then we will enjoy endless glory and wealth.”

Before he could finish speaking, a loud boom echoed, and Zhang Tianhua’s body flickered as he summoned two artifacts to protect himself. Li Hui, however, waved his hand, forming hundreds of dragon-shaped afterimages, which faintly suppressed his artifacts, causing the talisman light to flicker chaotically.

“Zzzz…” The Lightning Sword Talisman, imbued with electric eel scales, unleashed a surge of lightning, slightly delaying Zhang Tianhua’s actions. Dozens of Blood Energy Talismans flew over, nearly causing the flower thief who was trying to please himself to suffer a violent rupture.

“Li Hui, you…”

“Brother, as your junior brother, I won’t hinder your pursuit of happiness, but you can’t use force!” Li Hui waved his hands, sending dozens of evil Blood Energy Talismans flying toward him.

Normally, he would use damage-dealing talismans to intervene, but unfortunately, he had exhausted them during the previous battle, so he had no choice but to raise Zhang Tianhua’s momentum again and again.

“You outrageous scoundrel, let me show you my strength!” Zhang Tianhua puffed up his cheeks, furious. He had changed significantly, cultivating at a speed that astonished even himself. He was truly riding the waves of fortune, ready to achieve his goals, but now this Li Hui had jumped out to cause trouble. He would show him the thunderous means by which he annihilated this brat!
