Chapter 225: Forcefully Slaying Han Xuan

At three quarters past noon, Immortal Han Xuan practiced his cultivation atop the cold jade bed.

Having consumed a lavish Low-Level Beast meal the previous night, his body now brimmed with accumulated essence desperately needing conversion into Magic. He’d reached the most critical juncture.

Meanwhile in the secret room, Fang Lie timed his movements precisely.

Those sealed by Immortal Han Xuan normally couldn’t budge. But Fang Lie’s physical form merely served as expendable outer shell – his true self perpetually resided within the Dao heart True Seed.

From within the seed, Fang Lie’s consciousness stealthily manipulated the genuine Nirvana fire nascent fetus. He channeled vast amounts of Nirvana fire into the embryonic fetus shadow within his shell, purging invasive cold energy.

Though this frost originated from a Wind Tribulation Immortal’s power – stubborn enough to thwart even Nascent Soul True Immortals – it proved meaningless against the Nirvana fire nascent fetus. As one of the innate great five elements nascent fetuses nurtured through countless millennia, its nearly-sentient Nirvana true fire could effortlessly annihilate Thunder Tribulation Immortals despite being ill-suited for direct combat.

Torrents of Nirvana fire swiftly dissolved the cold ravaging Fang Lie’s body, healing all frost damage. Regaining bodily control, Fang Lie guided the foreign flames to scorch his icy prison.

Seven-colored divine fire erupted, liquefying the ice effortlessly. Fang Lie watched the retreating flames with wistfulness – total command of this power would grant him invincibility. Yet his fragile vessel only permitted gradual release for dispelling restraints, not battle applications.

Focusing ahead, Fang Lie gripped the Devouring Heaven Chaos Halberd. This prime ambush opportunity couldn’t be wasted. Ignoring surrounding treasures, he unleashed Minor Formless Chaos Divine Lightning.

After consuming that fifth-rank Fire-element Treasure, the halberd stored three such lightning bolts. Having expended one during the Great War, two remained – priceless munitions requiring fifth-rank treasure sacrifice to replenish.

The lightning struck silently, blasting a two-foot breach through the stone portal. Though the treasure vault door boasted Wind Tribulation Immortal-proof external defenses, its interior fortifications proved far weaker – never anticipating assaults from within.

The detonation’s vibrations jolted Immortal Han Xuan from cultivation. Energy deviation struck as he choked on blood, aura plummeting.

Fang Lie struck without mercy. Golden wings humming, he swung the halberd in lethal arc.

The gravely wounded immortal’s eyes snapped open. "You? Impossible-" His severed head soared skyward, frozen in disbelief.

Thus perished the centuries-old demon Han Xuan, slaver of seas and butcher of multitudes.

Cleaving his foe, Fang Lie’s thoughts crystallized. His Dao heart surged with triumphant clarity.

"Ah!" Fang Lie let out a roaring shout and began looting with fervor.

First, he seized Immortal Han Xuan’s Sumeru Bags, then her cold jade meditation bed – a treasure that boosted cultivation speed, as valuable as any fifth-rank treasure.

He then targeted the breached treasure vault. Without bothering to inspect the contents, Fang Lie activated the Sending-Home Art divine skill, transporting entire shelves directly into the Cycle of Fire.

The old bird watched with bitter amusement. "You’re collecting junk like a scavenger! Since when did my domain become a trash heap?"

"Those shelves are made of millennium sandalwood!" Fang Lie retorted. "Each pound costs hundreds of spirit stones!"

"You earn millions daily yet still fuss over scraps?" The old bird chuckled ruefully.

"Even mosquito legs count as meat!" Fang Lie declared, accelerating his plundering until the vault stood empty.

Drawing the Devouring Heaven Chaos Halberd, he roared, "Time for vengeance!" and charged outward.

Outside the secret chamber, two Purple Palace realm cultivators stood guard. When the doors burst open, they bowed expecting their mistress – only to meet Fang Lie’s halberd. Two heads flew skyward, frozen expressions of confusion intact.

After grabbing their Sumeru Bags, Fang Lie stormed into an opulent bedchamber where several Golden Pool realm maids guarded Han Xuan’s private quarters.

"Intruder!" they shouted, summoning treasures. Fang Lie answered with sweeping halberd strikes that cleaved both women and artifacts. Survivors fled screaming as he pursued like a winged tiger, slaughtering all in golden flashes.

The lavish room became a charnel house – blood-splattered walls, scattered limbs. From overheard conversations, Fang Lie knew this den traded human lives. Every occupant bore mountains of karma, deserving execution.

He spared no one.

Surveying the plunder, he found:

– A full-length mirror of third-rank Shui Ling crystal

– A bed carved from a millennium divine clam shell (Fourth-Rank material)

– Furniture of ten-thousand-year cold jade (third-rank)

– A Sixth-rank sea dragon whale hide carpet

– A fifth-rank Taiyi Glazed Lantern with mountain-melting flames

Fifteen minutes later, the chamber resembled a gnawed bone.

Rampaging through Han Xuan Palace, Fang Lie slaughtered everyone encountered – none could withstand his halberd. Only after thirty minutes and dozens dead did alarms finally sound.

As palace restrictions activated, Immortal Xuan Yue – Han Xuan’s senior female disciple – arrived with over a hundred cultivators.

"Fang Lie!" The moon-robed woman snarled with killing energy. "You’ll pay for killing my master!"

Fang Lie sneered. "That hag reaped what she sowed. Now I’ll purge her accomplices."

"Arrogant worm!" Xuan Yue spat. "A mere Qi Sea cultivator dares threaten us?"

"I butchered your master. You’re next."

"You ambushed her during meditation!"

"Didn’t she attack me first?" Fang Lie countered. "Officials may torch villages while commoners can’t light lamps?"

Xuan Yue gaped speechless.

Storing his halberd, Fang Lie drew the Demon Sword. "Ready to die?"
