Chapter 246: Destroying the Master of a Hundred Poisons

The Master of a Hundred Poisons froze upon hearing this. Though an inner gate Golden Pool realm cultivator from a major sect, his resources couldn’t possibly match Fang Lie’s.

Fang Lie wasn’t just a Great Pill Master – his combat power rivaled Wind Tribulation Immortals. His daily plundering brought mountains of wealth, and his alchemy profits surpassed even his robbery gains.

While presenting a Fourth-tier Magical Item was impressive for the Master of a Hundred Poisons, Fang Lie considered such things trash. Nothing below sixth-rank treasures caught his eye.

Though the Master of a Hundred Poisons stood dumbfounded, the demons behind him remained undeterred.

A righteous-looking young man stepped forward – the Poison Heart Young Master from the Demonic Path.

Smirking, he declared, "A mere wager? I’ll stake a thousand small spirit pearls. Does Young Master Fang dare accept?"

A thousand small spirit pearls equaled a sixth-rank magical item’s value. Though the Crystal Palace treasure ship was sixth-rank, such large-scale treasures far surpassed regular items of the same rank, nearly matching seventh-rank treasures.

The crowd erupted in jeers at his proposal. Mocking voices filled the air:

"Comparing a thousand pearls to a sixth-rank treasure ship? Are you brainless or just acting stupid?"

"Clearly putting on an act!"

"Save your tricks – none here are fools!"

"A Wind Tribulation Immortal scamming children? Pathetic!"

The Poison Heart Young Master flushed crimson. He wanted to retaliate but noticed the hecklers were all Wind Tribulation Immortals with formidable backgrounds. Their united front made him hesitate, restraining his anger.

An elderly woman shrouded in translucent grievances croaked, "This crone adds another thousand!"

Fang Lie recognized the thousand-year-old Ghost-Eating Monster Granny.

"A thousand from me too," growled a man clad in bone armor – clearly from the White Bone Sect.

Other Demonic Overlords followed suit until eight thousand small spirit pearls piled up, roughly matching the treasure ship’s value.

Fang Lie’s eyes gleamed. Heaven’s helping me, he thought. Just when I needed funds for the Fire Spirit Gu, fools deliver silver!

"Since you’re begging to lose wealth," Fang Lie chuckled, "I’ll oblige. Let the host arrange our game!" He turned to Immortal East Sea.

The reluctant host sighed. "If you insist on gambling with lives, do it properly here. No rule-breaking!"

"Agreed," Fang Lie nodded. "Let the Four Seas Alliance’s Four True Immortals referee!"

The Master of a Hundred Poisons glanced back for approval from his demonic allies before muttering, "Accepted."

"Stakes first," Immortal East Sea ordered. "Fang’s ship stays anchored. Demonic scoundrels – hand over your pearls."

With disdainful snorts, Demonic Overlords tossed their Sumeru Bags forward. Immortal East Sea meticulously inspected each bag before announcing:

"Wagers secured. This death duel’s victor claims all spoils and stakes. Any objections?"

"None," both combatants answered as one.

"Alright, then I ask all Dao friends present to retreat a hundred paces!" declared Immortal East Sea.

The surrounding cultivators swiftly withdrew, clearing space for the battle.

Immortal East Sea and the three other alliance leaders then cast spells, enclosing Fang Lie and Master of a Hundred Poisons within a barrier to prevent disturbances.

Once prepared, Immortal East Sea announced, "Let the duel commence!"

As his voice faded, Little Peach Red summoned a black-and-white earth’s magnetic force orb. Instead of attacking, she let it spin above her and Fang Lie, awaiting the poison Gu insects.

But this time, Master of a Hundred Poisons didn’t release his insects. With a mocking laugh, he produced a three-foot banner oozing black mist, swarming with vengeful spirits and wraiths. A chilling killing energy radiated from it, striking fear into onlookers.

This was clearly a Sinister Treasure of at least sixth-rank.

Recognizing it, the crowd erupted. "That’s the sixth-rank Thousand Souls Banner—Ghost-Eating Monster Granny’s life-bound treasure!"

"A Golden Pool realm cultivator can’t wield a sixth-rank magical item! Ghost-Eating Monster Granny must’ve left her Magic in it. This is Fang Lie fighting her directly!"

"Shameless! A thousand-year-old Wind Tribulation Immortal scheming against a junior!"

Island lords and scattered cultivators allied with Fang Lie cursed the Demonic Overlords’ dishonor.

The Demonic Overlords merely laughed. "No rules barred borrowing treasures," Ghost-Eating Monster Granny sneered.

"Foolish of you not to anticipate this!"

"Let Fang Lie enjoy the Thousand Souls Banner’s power!"

Righteous Cultivators reddened with rage, trading insults. Only the Four Seas Alliance’s four True Immortals exchanged knowing looks, pitying the demons’ ignorance.

Their plan wasn’t flawed—just outdated. They’d assumed Fang Lie relied solely on his Demon Sword and Little Peach Red, a Fourth-Rank great demon. With the banner’s thousand Fifth Rank demons—some rivaling Wind Tribulation Immortals—they’d thought victory assured.

Previously, Fang Lie would’ve been overwhelmed. The demons’ assault would’ve shattered Little Peach Red’s soul and flooded Fang Lie with Demonic Energy. Even his undying nature couldn’t save him.

Master of a Hundred Poisons smirked as writhing ghostly demons surrounded him. "See these? Over a thousand Fifth Rank demons, some matching Wind Tribulation Immortals! Your Demon Sword’s useless against them!"

Fang Lie snorted. "You think this frightens me?"

"You don’t fear death," Master of a Hundred Poisons jeered, "but what of your pretty servant? Kneel and surrender, or watch her soul shatter!"

Before Fang Lie responded, Little Peach Red tugged his sleeve scornfully. "Master could obliterate you with a wave! Stop wasting time!"

Fang Lie chuckled awkwardly… then flicked his wrist.

Purple light flashed. Master of a Hundred Poisons screamed, his body shriveling into a desiccated husk in moments.

The crowd gaped in stunned silence.

"How?!" Ghost-Eating Monster Granny shrieked as Demonic Overlords panicked.

Poison Heart Young Master rounded on her. "Your banner’s protection failed!"

"Impossible!" she wailed. "It resists fifth-rank spells! There was no Magic fluctuation!"

Most cultivators were baffled. Only the Four Seas Alliance’s four leaders understood—Fang Lie’s newly acquired Amethyst Silkworm King had struck. This creature could Ambush even Wind Tribulation Immortals. What chance had a mere Master of a Hundred Poisons?
