Chapter 420: Extermination

In the virtual game, the headquarters of the Tian Puppet Master is as grand as a Giant City for Mortals. It handles the training of Tian Puppet Masters, their assessments, the renting and maintenance of puppets, and sometimes issues exclusive tasks for Tian Puppet Masters.

At that moment, a long-term mission appeared in the main hall of the headquarters.

"Form a team to exterminate the beast race; requirements are Third Tier Tian Puppet Masters or above; reward is…"

At this time, the middle-aged butcher and Spirit Cut’s alternate account were standing in the hall below.

"Let’s form a team and go have some fun. If we find a hidden Spiritual Vein, we could strike it rich," Spirit Cut suggested.

With the threat of the beast king in the Lin Sen Fairy City area now gone, he could relax and do things he enjoyed.

"Sounds good! We can rent a medium-sized spiritual boat and head out to hunt some beast race," the middle-aged butcher replied with a smile.

Recently, he had passed the assessment to become a Fifth Tier Tian Puppet Master, which meant he needed to update and upgrade his puppets, requiring a large number of spirit stones.

Just then, a Transformation Stage Knife-wielding Puppet approached and said to the two, "Can I join you?"

The middle-aged butcher looked at the Transformation Stage puppet, feeling a bit embarrassed, and said, "Although our collaboration is powerful, I want to earn spirit stones to buy the top-tier Transformation Stage Tian Knife Puppet."

"If you join us, I worry there won’t be enough beast race left to share," the middle-aged butcher replied.

Though he rarely interacted with the Knife-wielding Puppet, as a top-tier Tian Puppet Master in the game, he understood the combat strength of this puppet. If they faced any beast race, they wouldn’t have enough enemies for him to kill.

"Is that so?" The young puppet frowned slightly.

“If you find dealing with the beast corpses troublesome, you can rent a logistics tool puppet for a hundred-person team in the game, so you can slaughter the beast race to your heart’s content."

"Leave the cleanup to them," Spirit Cut added, knowing that the young puppet didn’t want to waste time on work other than fighting.

"Can it be done? Thanks!" the puppet boy said.

"Don’t mention it," Spirit Cut casually replied.

The middle-aged butcher and Spirit Cut rented a medium-sized spiritual boat with a cold storage and entered the puppet control chamber.

From the Steel Wall, one spiritual boat after another launched from behind, flying outside the Steel Wall.

At this moment, a massive battle puppet army began to raid the other three races. While the other three races hadn’t moved their holy city, there were still plenty of good treasures in the temporary base.

"I, the beast race, will surely make a comeback; you human race, wait and see!!" an Earth Bear at the Core Formation stage, surrounded by ten Void Refinement Stage battle puppets, self-destructed out of anger.

"Search for the empty bones; continue looking for the next Core Formation stage giant bear," Grapes commanded.

Then, logistics puppets came to collect the shattered Void Refinement Stage puppets.

Far away on Hidden Spirit Island, Xu Fan watched this scene and said with a smile, "Not to mention, the big clans in the beast race indeed have some backbone."

"Indeed," the pangolin beside him replied.

"Among the beast race, those prominent clans have experienced the glorious era of the beast race. In their eyes, it is the human race that betrayed the beast race," the pangolin said.

"So, you’re saying that small clans that have not experienced the glory of the beast race are more likely to betray?"

"Pretty much; but if their loyalty is to the human race, it might be a bit challenging."

"But just a bit," the pangolin said, looking down, now fully resembling a human race sycophant.

"It seems your future tasks won’t be too difficult," Xu Fan chuckled, then took out four specially crafted artifacts for the pangolin.

"The Earth Flow Spiritual Boat, the Cloud Hidden Inner Armor, the Heavenly Soul Armor, and the Earth Spirit Pearl—these four artifacts will keep you safe in the demon race, as long as you don’t do anything stupid."

"Also, I’ve got a hundred thousand beast race members ready for you. They’ll follow your every command. They’re all from small, unknown groups in the beast race, but they’ll be your starting team."

"With these, I hope you can make a name for yourself in the demon race," Xu Fan said.

"Thank you, Master. The pangolin won’t let you down," the pangolin said, kneeling.

"Go on," Xu Fan replied.

The pangolin knelt again, bowed his head, and then dashed off toward Satellite Island.

Just then, the first clone walked up to Xu Fan and grinned, "You’re trying to stir up some chaos in the demon race, huh?"

"Not that much, just a little trouble," Xu Fan said.

"Why’d you call me over?" the first clone asked.

"Take a guess~" Xu Fan said with a sly smile.

"What’s to guess? The sect’s got a lot of artifact-level spirit ore now. You want to make a few railguns," the first clone said.

"Three of them. No rush; you don’t need to make them yourself. Just guide the beast clan master craftsmen and let Grapes handle the controls. You just need to keep an eye on the quality," Xu Fan explained.

After all, the clone was still one of his own. With things set up, there was no need to overwork him.

"Alright, two years should be enough," the first clone said with a smile. He’d never been a supervisor before, but he figured he could handle it.

"That’s good. When you’ve got free time, feel free to mess around with stuff. You can use the spirit ore from the sect’s treasury however you like," Xu Fan said. Grapes had mentioned that the first clone liked to tinker with weird gadgets in his spare time.

"Got it."

As the first clone left, he already had the air of a capable supervisor.

Xu Fan pulled out the crystal ball infused with time power, turning it over in his hands as he thought about how to use it to craft an artifact that could consume his lifespan.

Over at the Hidden Spirit Academy, another competition was kicking off.

The finals were a showdown between Li Lei Hu and Lin Mo Wan, two Great Saints going head-to-head.

"Go, Tiger!!" Eryuan shouted from the sidelines, waving a skewer of fish balls excitedly.

On stage, Li Lei Hu frowned at Eryuan, knowing he was probably going to lose no matter how much she cheered.

"Little Tiger, think carefully. If you don’t surrender, my vine whip might get a little out of control," Lin Mo Wan said, narrowing her eyes at Li Lei Hu.

"Especially when it hits your backside."

"Go, Tiger! Clear your name! Don’t let her whip your butt again—she’s already done it three times!"

Eryuan was loving the drama, loudly reminding everyone of Li Lei Hu’s embarrassing moments.

"Do you have something against me? Why are you doing this?" Li Lei Hu thought, feeling less angry at Lin Mo Wan and more like he wanted to take Eryuan down a peg.

"Enough talk. Let’s start! I’ve figured out how to break your spells," Li Lei Hu said.

"The finals begin~," an Electronic Voice announced.

Li Lei Hu gripped a broadsword, lightning flashing in his eyes.

With a single slash, a Lei Ren spun around him, his plan to counter Lin Mo Wan’s wood-based magic.

"Is this your big idea? It’s not going to work," Lin Mo Wan said, forming spell seals. Vines burst from the ground, rushing toward Li Lei Hu.
