Chapter 463: Bear Two Ascends

"No, if you could cultivate, I might never surpass you," the middle-aged butcher said to the man.

For mortals, one hundred years is a lifetime.

But for this genius, one hundred years is like a shooting star, briefly shining in the cultivation world.

The man gave a light glance before walking out of the training ground.

Li Lei Hu approached his father.

"Dad, you didn’t lose unfairly," Li Lei Hu said.

"I’ve always said I could only be second," the middle-aged butcher replied, watching the man leave, his voice a mix of awe and regret.

"Well, you’ve seen the strongest puppet master in the game. Now, spend the rest of your time training with me."

"When you can hold your own against me, then you can reclaim your honor," the middle-aged butcher said cheerfully, always believing his son was the best.

"Dad, how great it would be if you could join a sect and cultivate," Li Lei Hu said regretfully.

"Isn’t life good as it is now?"

"Even if my technique isn’t as good as yours, it’s enough for me," the middle-aged butcher said casually.

He had no grand ambitions; fighting the beast race alongside the sect and helping his son overcome obstacles was all he needed.

On Hidden Spirit Island, a cloud shaped like Bear Two floated in the sky.

Xu Fan and Bear Two lay on it.

"Big Brother Xu, why didn’t you tell me about this beautiful place sooner?" Bear Two asked, gazing at the sky.

From this height, the sky had a unique charm, and he felt he could admire it for thousands of years.

"Beautiful things need to be discovered. Staying in one place limits what you can see, so you need to move around," Xu Fan said, still looking at the sky.

"I think it’s nice to just stay still here, as long as I’m not in that small space," Bear Two replied, staring at the distant stars.

"Alright, do whatever makes you happy," Xu Fan said, then relaxed and ignored Bear Two.

"Big Brother Xu, I’ve been thinking about something lately," Bear Two suddenly said seriously.

"What is it?" Xu Fan asked, curious despite his relaxed state.

"Do you think I’d be happier if I found my kindred?"

"What’s wrong? Feeling lonely as a bear?" Xu Fan asked with a smile.

"Not exactly lonely, but it feels like my kind is calling me from another world," Bear Two said thoughtfully.

"Your kind must be calling you from the Thousand Worlds," Xu Fan suggested.

"Do you think I should go? I’m a bit reluctant to leave you, Big Brother Xu," Bear Two said, his bear face showing reluctance.

He had spent five hundred years with Xu Fan, relying on him for stories and Anime to pass the time.

He felt a brotherly bond with Xu Fan.

"You should go. Honestly, there’s nothing left for you in the cultivation world. It would be good to meet your kind," Xu Fan said after some thought.

Though Xu Fan wanted to keep the sect’s top fighting strength by his side, he hoped even more that Bear Two could return to his Clan.

Out of nothing else but the bond formed over five hundred years of being together.

"Big Brother Xu really thinks so," Bear Two said while looking at Xu Fan.

Xu Fan nodded seriously.

At that moment, divine light fell from the sky, forming a staircase of Immortal Jade that connected directly from the heavens to Bear Two’s feet.

Celestial music played in the air, and unknown Divine Beasts moved up and down the staircase as if welcoming Bear Two.

I told you to go, but I didn’t expect you to leave right now.

"Big Brother Xu, I’m leaving now. See you in the Thousand Worlds, and we can continue to look at the sky together then."

After saying this, Bear Two stepped onto the celestial staircase and slowly disappeared into the sky amid the heavenly music.

"Wow, you are so decisive," Xu Fan said, gazing blankly at the sky.

At that moment, divine light shone where Bear Two ascended.

Wisps of spiritual energy descended, transforming the local spiritual environment.

At that moment, a blood light appeared beside Xu Fan, and Spirit Cut showed up.

"Did that bear in the sect ascend?” Spirit Cut took a deep breath and asked.

"Yes, he went to find his kind in the Thousand Worlds," Xu Fan replied.

"Such a shame he didn’t ascend in the right place."

"If he had ascended within our sect, he could have cultivated this divine spiritual energy using our sect’s energy," Spirit Cut said regretfully.

"How come I don’t know this strange knowledge?" Xu Fan asked.

"This is a common but not deep knowledge shared between the sacred lands and top sects. It is rarely recorded in general cultivation texts," Spirit Cut explained.

At that moment, an immense net of spiritual energy encompassed a radius of one hundred miles.

Then, like a net catching fish, it pulled towards the grand formation of the Hidden Spirit Sect.

Seeing all this, Spirit Cut’s eyes nearly popped out.

"Grand Elder, when did our sect acquire such an incredible thing?" Spirit Cut exclaimed while looking at the vast net of spiritual energy.

"This is a little feature that comes with Grape, but it has never been used before. Now, can you tell me what this divine spiritual energy is useful for?" Xu Fan asked.

"This divine spiritual energy can create a secret realm for divine spirits. The sect’s disciples can enter and cultivate for a while to enhance their talent and spiritual strength."

"Afterward, this divine spiritual energy will form a seed within the disciple’s body, which can help them break through before the Overcoming Tribulations stage. During the Overcoming Tribulations, this spiritual seed can instantly restore the disciple’s spiritual energy, mind, and body, allowing them to face the thunder calamity in peak condition," Spirit Cut explained.

"This divine spiritual energy has such effects!" Xu Fan said with delight.

"By the way, this spiritual seed has another small function, which is to strengthen the small world. However, generally, no one uses it," Spirit Cut added.

"Strengthening the small world sounds interesting," Xu Fan said, stroking his chin.

At that moment, as the net of spiritual energy shrank, the divine spiritual energy that had scattered into the air re-condensed.

"Grape, bring that cluster of divine spiritual energy into your fragmented small world," Xu Fan commanded.

"Understood."

After Grape said this, the net of spiritual energy lifted the cluster of divine spiritual energy and disappeared into the grand formation of the sect.

"Elder Spirit Cut, can you ascend now?" Xu Fan asked curiously.

"I can barely do it, but at my stage, unless absolutely necessary, I wouldn’t easily ascend to the Thousand Worlds."

"Why?" Xu Fan inquired.

"Because when one ascends, there is a large influx of divine spiritual energy, and if one is at the peak of the Great Ascension stage, this divine spiritual energy can be used to directly advance to Quasi-Immortal status, ensuring some stability in the Immortal Realm."

"If you are just an average Great Ascension, you might only advance to the peak of the Great Ascension stage."

"Such a cultivation level may not last long in the chaotic Thousand Worlds without any support," Spirit Cut stated.

"Is the Thousand Worlds that chaotic?"

"I don’t know the specifics, but the strongest there is definitely not our human race," Spirit Cut replied.
