Chapter 486: New Ideas

The two master craftsmen from Qianling Sect silently looked at Master Qianling, expressing their quiet resistance.

"If this were any other time, it wouldn’t matter, but now it’s a crucial period, and you two are the only master craftsmen in the entire Qianling Sect. What if something happens to the Star Ship in the Extreme Void Domain?"

"There are many tasks waiting for you in Qianling Sect," Master Qianling said, feeling somewhat troubled.

Wang Yi and Sun Daoling remained silent, determined to stay at the Hidden Spirit Sect to modify the serpent-shaped giant beast race warship.

Seeing their stubbornness, Master Qianling felt a headache coming on; if both treasures stayed here, he was likely to face severe consequences when he returned.

Master Qianling didn’t dare to scold these two treasures, so he looked to Xu Fan for help.

"Masters, how about this: you discuss who should return, and afterwards, I’ll record the detailed modification plans and visuals of this giant beast race warship for you," Xu Fan said to the two master craftsmen.

"………"

Xu Fan received silence in response.

Watching the two silent master craftsmen, Xu Fan began to feel exasperated. What was wrong with them for not speaking?

"How about we keep both master craftsmen here?" Xu Fan turned to Master Qianling and suggested.

"No way, I’d be killed by the Grand Elder if I went back," Master Qianling suddenly shook his head, recalling what awaited him upon his return.

Xu Fan felt speechless.

"Why not have the elder knock one of them out and take him back by force?" Xu Fan transmitted the message.

"That won’t work either. Both of these treasures in our sect are quite stubborn; if I knock one out and bring him back, he’ll end up resenting me. What if he doesn’t work hard afterward?" Master Qianling explained.

"Then why not go capture a beast clan master craftsman to serve your sect?" Xu Fan suggested casually.

Xu Fan’s words suddenly sparked an idea in Master Qianling, as if a door had opened in his mind.

Master Qianling turned his attention to the Iron Mischief Monkey master craftsman.

The Iron Mischief Monkey master craftsman glanced at the human race elder who could easily crush him and said, "If the elder wishes to have a beast clan master craftsman serve you, it’s best to find one from a small clan that serves a large clan. This way, there’s a greater chance that a small clan master craftsman will genuinely submit."

"Why didn’t I think of that before?" Master Qianling’s eyes sparkled like a wolf that had spotted its prey.

"Grand Elder, may I bring back a beast clan master craftsman to help? I’ll also persuade the Grand Elder."

"Don’t worry, the costs will be fully covered," Master Qianling assured.

"Putao, can we request a master craftsman from the Moon Fox Clan?" Xu Fan asked.

"Yes, we just need a Moon Fox Clan master craftsman to fill the gap," Putao replied.

"Then let’s assign a task to a Moon Fox Clan master craftsman."

"Understood~"

"Since you two refuse to leave, let’s keep you here to learn together."

"Let’s aim for you to successfully craft a Star Ship for our Qianling Sect soon." Master Qianling said to the two silent master craftsmen.

"Thank you, Second Grand Elder," the two Qianling Sect master craftsmen finally said as they bowed.

"Now you recognize me as the Second Grand Elder," Master Qianling said with a smile, exasperated yet amused.

Not long after, a beast clan master craftsman from the Moon Fox Clan appeared, his eyes burning with fervor as he looked at Xu Fan.

"Master, the task you’ve entrusted to me will be completed without fail," he declared, his voice brimming with excitement, akin to a soldier ready to charge into battle, driven by his convictions and faith.

"Grand Elder, I must learn your mesmerizing techniques," Master Qianling communicated to Xu Fan via a transmitted message, observing the enthusiastic beast clan master craftsman.

"First, board the Star Ship to rest. Tasks will be assigned to you shortly," Xu Fan instructed.

"Understood," the craftsman replied.

Without further instruction from Master Qianling, a nearby disciple escorted the Moon Fox Clan’s Qi Refinement master to the Qianling Sect’s Star Ship.

"Grand Elder, here are the spirit ores and materials you requested earlier," Master Qianling said, handing over a space ring to Xu Fan, which also covered the cost for Grape’s clone.

Xu Fan accepted the space ring with a smile, "You’re too kind, Master Qianling."

"Kindness has nothing to do with it. If you ever need more spirit ore, just let me know. You’re well aware of Qianling Sect’s resources," Master Qianling responded.

The position of Grand Elder in Qianling Sect had been held by invincible respected elders for thirty thousand years.

"Next time you visit, see if you can bring these specific types of spirit ore," Xu Fan suggested, handing a jade slip to Master Qianling.

"Consider it done," Master Qianling replied, tucking the jade slip into his space ring without a second glance.

His concern wasn’t that Xu Fan would ask for too much, but that he might not ask for anything at all.

Master Qianling was aware that Qianling Sect would likely need Xu Fan’s expertise in various matters in the future.

Even the most esteemed artifact great masters might one day need to defer to Xu Fan’s growing reputation.

"In three years, I will ensure the safe return of every one of your sect’s disciples," Xu Fan promised.

"Grand Elder, until we meet again," Master Qianling said, clasping his hands in a gesture of farewell as all returning members boarded the Star Ship.

"Respected Elder, we shall see each other in three years," Xu Fan said, smiling as he bid farewell.

"Master, what if the one thousand one hundred disciples decide not to return?" Xu Yuexian asked Xu Fan after the Qianling Sect’s Star Ship had departed.

"The inner sect disciples I’ve chosen will return. Besides, our Hidden Spirit Sect’s facilities and resources are on par with Qianling Sect’s, aren’t they?" Xu Fan replied with a confident smile.

"Actually, I wouldn’t mind going to Qianling Sect myself," Xu Yuexian murmured, her voice trailing off.

"You haven’t even fully explored the area around the demon race base, and you’re already dreaming of other places," Xu Fan chided, giving her a pointed look.

"I just wonder when Xingci and his family will return," Xu Fan mused, gazing at the sky.

Xu Fan had arranged for Master Qianling to transport Li Xingci’s family to a star along the human race navigation route.

"They’ll probably return after a few years. Retrieving those items from the Elder Council will be quite the task," Xu Fan speculated.

"The Elder Council wouldn’t hold onto Elder Rantian’s belongings, would they?" Xu Yuexian inquired.

"Once Elder Rantian returns, you’ll see just how much there is," Xu Fan said, recalling Li Xingci’s mention of his wife’s possessions left with the Elder Council.

These items represented the accumulated wealth of a top sect over ten thousand years. Previously, Xu Fan had thought that Star Ships and Sea Ships were the pinnacle of importance.

But now, he realized his earlier perspective had been too limited.

As Master Qianling led the Star Ship back to Qianling Sect, the entire sect regretted not vying for a place in the Hidden Spirit Sect.

Beyond the advancement in their overall capabilities, the unique items they brought back left those who stayed behind green with envy.

The five-grade precious artifacts sold by the Hidden Spirit Sect were accessible even to Golden Core disciples within their purchasing limits.

Each Qianling Sect disciple who visited the Hidden Spirit Sect returned with an average of five five-grade precious artifacts, each perfectly suited to their techniques and methods.
