Chapter 487: Invincible Respected Elder

The precious artifacts brought back alone made all the disciples of Qianling Sect who didn’t go to the Hidden Spirit Sect green with envy.

"Five-grade precious artifacts? I can’t believe they’re sold so cheaply in the Hidden Spirit Sect," a Qianling Sect disciple said skeptically after hearing the price of the fifth-level precious artifacts, asking again to confirm.

"You heard right. They really are that cheap. It’s a perk for Hidden Spirit Sect Disciples," came the reply.

Hearing this, everyone regretted not competing for a spot in the Hidden Spirit Sect.

Meanwhile, in the Taichi Great Hall of Qianling Sect,

the Grand Elder of Qianling Sect was staring at the terrified Moon Fox Clan master craftsman.

Though brainwashed, the craftsman still understood the significance of an invincible respected elder.

"Big brother, ease up on the pressure. This is our future external master craftsman," Master Qianling said to the trembling Moon Fox Clan master craftsman.

The aura in the hall softened instantly, and the Grand Elder turned back into a kindly old man.

"My apologies for earlier. Please don’t take it to heart, Master," the Grand Elder of Qianling Sect said with a warm smile.

"Not at all! Meeting the invincible respected elder is the honor of a lifetime," the Moon Fox Clan master craftsman quickly replied.

"Before I came, my master told me to let you know directly what I need," the Moon Fox Clan master craftsman added, still seeming a bit uneasy.

A jade slip floated in front of him.

"The artifact crafting room and spirit ore are ready for you, Master. Just let me know if you need anything else," the Grand Elder of Qianling Sect said with a smile.

"Alright, please have someone take me to the artifact crafting room. I’d like to start right away," the Moon Fox Clan master craftsman said, tucking away the jade slip. The pressure in the grand hall was overwhelming, and he couldn’t wait to leave.

Soon, a disciple appeared and led the Moon Fox Clan master craftsman to the artifact crafting room.

Now, only the three Grand Elders of Qianling Sect remained in the Taichi Great Hall.

"Big brother, just do as I say and head to the demon race. Bring back all the artifact masters and master craftsmen from the small clans among the larger beast clans," Master Qianling urged.

"If possible, we can even bring their entire clans under Qianling Sect’s influence in the demon race," he added.

Having more master craftsmen in the sect would make repairing the Star Ships much easier.

"The Grand Elder of the Hidden Spirit Sect’s approach is a good one. We can borrow from it. After all, those master craftsmen from small clans will work for anyone," the Grand Elder said with a chuckle, nodding in agreement.

"Adding more master craftsmen to the sect won’t be a problem for these old bones of mine."

"Big brother, it’s been a while since I’ve seen you in action. I’ll go with you this time, and let third brother stay behind to guard the sect," Master Qianling suggested.

"Second brother, that’s a bit much. I should be the one going with big brother," the Third Grand Elder of Qianling Sect interjected.

"Guarding the sect suits you better," Master Qianling replied with a grin.

Both he and the Third Grand Elder hadn’t seen the Grand Elder take action in years and were curious about his current level of power.

"Enough arguing. Third brother will come with me to the demon race, and second brother will stay to guard the sect," the Grand Elder of Qianling Sect declared.

"Big brother, you’re being unfair. This was my idea in the first place," Master Qianling protested loudly.

"Then you can come with me to the demon race, and I’ll let third brother handle the mining in the Extreme Void Domain later," the Grand Elder of Qianling Sect said lightly.

"I’m fine with that. Nowadays, anyone can pilot our Qianling Sect Star Ship," the Third Grand Elder of Qianling Sect said with a smile.

The phrase "anyone can pilot" instantly struck a chord with Master Qianling.

"Is it really just about having good skills to take the Star Ship to the Extreme Void Domain?"

"Do you know how many regions the Extreme Void Domain has?"

"Do you know where the spirit ore needed by our sect is located?"

"Do you know how to command if you encounter five or more giant beast race warships?"

These three sharp questions made the Third Grand Elder see the anger in Master Qianling’s eyes.

"I’m going with the boss to the demon race. Do you agree?" the Third Grand Elder asked.

"Fine, go ahead," Master Qianling replied irritably, though he knew there was no point in arguing. He was well aware of the boss’s stubbornness; once he made up his mind, there was no changing it.

Meanwhile, Xu Fan, lounging around at the Hidden Spirit Sect, suddenly chuckled and said, "I wonder if the Grand Elder of Qianling Sect will step in. If he does, the beast race in that area is in for a rough time."

In the beast race, only the royal family could possess the fighting strength of an Invincible Beast King.

Among the general royalty, there might be a few like the Cloud Saint Beast King, but they were rare.

Whether in the human race or the beast race, an invincible respected elder or an Invincible Beast King was always a game-changer.

"Chufan, fetch the spirit tea from Clear Snow Mountain," Xu Fan said, only to remember that his trusted disciple had already left for the Elder Council headquarters.

A puppet approached, carrying a pot of spirit tea, and poured a cup for Xu Fan.

"Once the sect’s serpent-shaped warship is fully upgraded, I’ll take it for a spin in the Extreme Void Domain. After that, I’ll go into seclusion."

"If I don’t enter seclusion soon, I feel like something bad is going to happen," Xu Fan murmured, his eyes fixed on the sky.

Lately, during his idle moments, he had been plagued by a sense of unease. Even using his sky-mending calculations, he couldn’t pinpoint what kind of tribulation was looming.

Deep down, he felt an urgent need to enter seclusion, as if it were the only way to escape the impending trouble.

In the demon race, the White Jade Giant Elephant Clan

was staring up at the two human race elders with visible distress.

"Invincible human race elder, our clan means no harm. If there’s something to discuss, please come down, and we can talk calmly," the clan leader of the White Jade Giant Elephants said, struggling to keep his voice steady.

"I have only one request. I’ve heard your clan has a master craftsman from the Mountain Spirit Clan. I’d like to borrow him for a few hundred years," the Grand Elder of Qianling Sect said casually.

A wave of spiritual pressure swept over the entire holy city of the White Jade Giant Elephant Clan. Under this pressure, every member of the clan—except for the beast kings—was forced to their knees or flat on the ground.

Only a handful of the clan’s most talented members managed to remain standing, their faces filled with defiance as they glared at the two human race elders in the sky.

But they were quickly reprimanded by their clan’s beast king through a transmitted message, and they reluctantly bowed their heads in submission.

"Invincible respected elder, we only have two master craftsmen in our entire clan."

"Isn’t it a bit excessive to ask for one of them?" the clan leader of the White Jade Giant Elephants said, his tone tinged with helplessness as he looked up at the sky.

"What’s the matter? Can’t you understand me?" the Grand Elder said, his gaze sweeping lightly over the dozen or so beast kings below.

A faint but unmistakable murderous intent filled the air, spreading across the holy city.

The beast kings of the White Jade Giant Elephant Clan immediately straightened up, their eyes locked on the two human race elders in the sky, ready to defend against any sudden attack.

After a long pause, the clan leader finally looked up at the human race elders and said through gritted teeth, "We will yield the master craftsman from the Mountain Spirit Clan. In return, will the invincible respected elder promise to leave our clan in peace?"

"Agreed."

In that moment, the Grand Elder of Qianling Sect began to see new possibilities.
