Chapter 496: Deep in the Extreme Void Domain

"It’s good that you’re back," Xu Fan said, turning to Su Rantian. "Elder Su, did everything go smoothly?"

"Thank you for your concern, Grand Elder. The Elder Council headquarters returned everything my late father left to me, untouched," Su Rantian replied.

Initially, she hadn’t cared much about those items, but after having a son and grasping the essence of the money-making path, she decided it was worth retrieving them.

"That’s good to hear," Xu Fan nodded.

Even if things hadn’t gone smoothly, there wasn’t much Xu Fan could do except offer some comfort.

"Now that your family is here, it’s time for us to set off."

At the Human Race Navigation Route Stars, the Star Ship docked, and Xu Fan waved farewell to Shan Chen.

"Master, I didn’t expect the giant beast race warship to be remodeled so quickly," Li Xingci remarked, glancing around.

"We brought in some extra help along the way, so things moved faster," Xu Fan explained with a smile, clearly pleased to see his long-absent disciple.

"How have things been at the Elder Council?" Xu Fan asked.

"Not bad, but they’re really pushing for Chufan to join the Elder Council. They’ve even promised resources to help him advance to Great Ascension Master," Li Xingci replied.

"Ha! I didn’t expect our Chufan to become such a hot commodity," Xu Fan chuckled.

"They’re only interested in the celestial tool inside me. Once I reach Great Ascension Master, it’ll be incredibly useful," Li Chufan said, clearly annoyed.

When the Elder Council first approached him, he’d been flattered, thinking they recognized his exceptional fighting strength. Even though he wouldn’t agree to join, it felt like a small honor.

But in the end, it turned out they only cared about the celestial tool, not his fighting prowess.

"At least Chufan isn’t fooled," Xu Fan said with a grin.

The Serpent Spirit Ship had already left the human race navigation route and was now heading deeper into the Extreme Void Domain.

As they traveled, the ship’s speed slowed, as more Spirit Ore Stars began to appear along the way.

Treasure Rock Spirit Copper, Water Mysterious Crystal Stone, Millennium Falling Iron, Red Sand Gold.

The Serpent Spirit Ship gathered a wealth of spirit ore materials for crafting precious artifacts.

"Why are all these spirit ores only artifact-level? Where are the artifact-level Spirit Ore Stars?" Spirit Cut complained while maneuvering the flying claw.

Just then, Grape’s voice chimed in.

"Master, I’ve detected a giant beast ahead—it’s the same one you encountered before."

"Well, isn’t that a coincidence," Xu Fan said, surprised.

"What do you think? Should we take a shot at it?" Spirit Cut asked, clearly intrigued.

"Let’s not. We’ll take a detour. Our firepower isn’t enough to take it down," Xu Fan said, waving his hand dismissively.

"What a shame! When will we be able to kill it? That thing’s worth a fortune in spirit stones," Spirit Cut grumbled.

"We’ll have to wait. Maybe when I can craft celestial tools, we’ll stand a chance," Xu Fan said, acknowledging that it was beyond their current capabilities.

"By the way, couldn’t the Grand Elder’s illusions control it?" Spirit Cut suddenly asked.

"I’d rather not risk being killed by a backlash," Xu Fan said, giving Spirit Cut a pointed look.

"Is it really that dangerous?" Spirit Cut asked, sounding a bit embarrassed.

"Our sect’s Sutra Pavilion has a record about the Elder Council hunting the giant beast in the Extreme Void Domain. Spirit Cut Elder, if you’re interested, you can take a look," Xu Fan said.

Back then, the Elder Council had sacrificed two Great Ascension Masters skilled in illusions for this plan.

"I’ll check it out when I get the chance," Spirit Cut replied.

The Star Ship controlled by Spirit Cut took a detour as they watched a giant beast devour a massive Spirit Ore Star.

The dessert seemed to have slipped away.

As the Serpent Spirit Ship traveled, they arrived at an area filled with enormous rubble.

"Beyond the rocky area lies the depths of the Extreme Void Domain. Inside, the Time Stream storms, frozen ice spirits, and star fires become more frequent," Spirit Cut said, glancing at the giant rock barrier.

"Let’s go in. The Serpent Spirit Ship has been well-prepared for this; as long as we’re not at maximum speed, we can avoid trouble," Xu Fan said.

"Your data said we can avoid these disasters as long as we’re not at third limit speed. While I trust the Grand Elder, is that data really accurate?" Spirit Cut asked, feeling a bit uneasy.

"Grape, activate the second-level navigation mode," Xu Fan instructed.

"Yes, sir."

The exterior of the Serpent Spirit Ship began to shift, transforming from a glossy black surface to one covered in serpent-like detection eyes.

An illusion appeared before Spirit Cut, showing the Serpent Spirit Ship in the center of black eyes.

"You mentioned those disasters can be detected in advance," Xu Fan continued, pointing to a small red area in the illusion.

"There’s star fire there; just don’t crash into it," he warned.

Spirit Cut calculated the distance and felt he could avoid it even with his eyes closed.

"In the future, if we need to activate any functions, Grape’s clone on the Serpent Spirit Ship will notify you in advance, so you can drive with peace of mind," Xu Fan said with a smile.

"The Serpent Spirit Ship has such power; we can mine in the Extreme Void Domain from now on," Spirit Cut exclaimed with excitement.

He quickly maneuvered the Star Ship back and forth through the rocky barrier.

Three days later, the Serpent Spirit Ship finally passed through the giant rock barrier into the depths of the Extreme Void Domain.

It felt as if they had entered another starry sky.

"Is this what the depths of the Extreme Void Domain look like?" Spirit Cut remarked, gazing at the stars in the distance.

"I’ve heard that artifact great masters can refine the divine fire of the three-legged golden crow here; I wonder if it’s true," Xu Fan said curiously.

"It should be true. When the golden crow’s divine sun shines here, we can capture a trace of the divine fire’s essence," Spirit Cut stated, recalling similar accounts he had seen in the Demon Sect.

"Master, we’ve detected a star containing artifact-level path ore thirty million miles from the Serpent Spirit Ship," Grape’s voice energized both of them.

"Let’s go quickly!" Without a second thought, Spirit Cut steered the Serpent Spirit Ship toward Grape’s marked location.

"Star fire refining iron, nice! We can craft a batch of Core Formation Stage Puppets when we return," Xu Fan said with a smile, surprised by their immediate find upon entering the depths of the Extreme Void Domain.

"Master Qianling was right; there are indeed good things in the depths of the Extreme Void Domain," Spirit Cut said excitedly.

"Risks and rewards go hand in hand; the higher the reward, the greater the risk," Xu Fan noted as he observed the detection illusion.

At that moment, the illusion displayed colorful spots, each representing a different disaster.

"Indeed, if the detection ability wasn’t strong, we wouldn’t last long here; we’d end up shipwrecked by a disaster," Spirit Cut remarked, feeling a sense of urgency.

With the flying claw launched accurately, it caught the star that was a hundred feet in diameter and contained star fire refining iron.

The iron chain retracted, effortlessly securing the little gem into the refining furnace.

"A good start; let’s continue mining and see if there are any surprises," Xu Fan said.
