Chapter 500: Ambitious Snow Spirit Respected Elder

Deep within the Extreme Void Domain, Spirit Cut was piloting the Serpent Spirit Ship to mine.

Li Chufan was by Spirit Cut’s side.

“Grandpa, you’re amazing! You can pilot such a huge spiritual boat,” Li Chufan said, his voice filled with admiration.

“This is nothing. Your Master Ancestor is the real genius. She designed and built this massive Star Ship herself,” Spirit Cut replied.

“Master Ancestor has always been incredible,” Li Chufan said matter-of-factly.

Just then, Li Xingci walked in.

“Spirit Cut Elder, Master has finished setting up the Star Formation. We can head over to pick him up now,” Li Xingci announced.

“Having a real skill like that makes all the difference. When your Master Ancestor gets to work, she’s more effective than me piloting the Serpent Spirit Ship ten times over,” Spirit Cut remarked, clearly impressed.

He couldn’t help but wonder if he’d wasted his potential by not pursuing artifact crafting.

“Master always says that specialization is key—professionals should handle professional work,” Li Xingci said, trying to reassure him.

“But your Master is exceptional in every way. His fighting strength, artifact crafting, and alchemy are all top-notch. With a Core Formation Stage Puppet wielding a celestial tool, even regular beast kings can’t touch him,” Spirit Cut said, his tone tinged with envy.

“Spirit Cut Elder, don’t compare yourself to Master. Just focus on others,” Li Xingci suggested.

“Alright, let’s not dwell on it. Let’s go find your Master,” Spirit Cut said with a light sigh, steering the Serpent Spirit Ship toward the star.

On Snow Spirit Star, Xu Fan was making the final adjustments to the Star Formation.

An ancient star, two to three times larger than Earth, was harnessing its power to operate the massive Star Formation.

Countless tendrils of spiritual energy extended into the Extreme Void Domain, sweeping up all the spirit ore stars within a ten-thousand-mile radius.

“Senior, this formation can even collect spirit ore stars from the Extreme Void Domain!” Cao Jun exclaimed excitedly, standing beside Xu Fan.

“Of course. A single tendril of spiritual energy can stretch up to 100,000 kilometers.”

“I’ve added a formation spirit to this ancient star formation. If you have any questions, just ask it,” Xu Fan said with a smile.

The Star Formation was vast, intricate, and complex. To fully control it, one needed to understand every aspect of its power.

As Xu Fan put it, this enormous formation came with an instruction manual over 10 million characters long—something even cultivators would struggle to master quickly.

To make things easier, Xu Fan had equipped it with an auxiliary assistant spirit.

A butterfly emerged from the formation node and landed on Cao Jun’s shoulder.

“Are you the spirit of the Star Formation?” Cao Jun asked curiously.

The butterfly on his shoulder gave a gentle nod.

“I’ve left you a complete set of formation inheritance. Just follow the steps and learn,” Xu Fan said, glancing at the Serpent Spirit Ship approaching in the Extreme Void Domain. He knew his time on this star was almost up.

“Thank you, Senior. You’ve been like a second teacher to me,” Cao Jun said, bowing respectfully. He knew this mysterious elder, who had shared his formation knowledge, would soon be leaving.

“Don’t exaggerate. I just saw some talent in you and decided to offer a little guidance,” Xu Fan replied as he began fine-tuning the final function of Snow Spirit Star.

As Xu Fan completed the spell seal for the formation, the full power of the ancient star surged to life. A massive force emanated from the formation, causing Snow Spirit Star to slowly begin moving.

At that moment, the Snow Spirit Respected Elder appeared beside Xu Fan. Feeling the ground beneath her shift, her eyes lit up with surprise and delight.

“Hey, don’t move! Wait until I land,” Spirit Cut said with a hint of frustration, then steered the Star Ship toward Snow Spirit Star.

“Now you’ll be able to steer Snow Spirit Star through the Extreme Void Domain in the future,” Xu Fan said.

“Has the Grand Elder uncovered the secrets of our ancient stars?” Snow Spirit Respected Elder asked, sounding surprised.

“Your star moves along the spiritual energy currents deep in the Extreme Void Domain, so you naturally avoid disasters.”

“But the ancient stars themselves also have the ability to evade calamities. That’s not exactly a secret. Anyone with a basic understanding of formations could figure that out with a quick look,” Xu Fan added.

“The Grand Elder is absolutely right,” Snow Spirit Respected Elder nodded.

At that moment, Xu Fan brought Snow Spirit Star to a halt, waiting for the Serpent Spirit Ship to land.

“Have you ever considered taking Snow Spirit Star to the central continent?” Xu Fan asked.

“Is the Grand Elder suggesting I return to the central continent to fight for the human race?” Snow Spirit Respected Elder asked, frowning slightly.

“No, no, no! I mean the opposite. If you’ve thought about it, Snow Spirit Respected Elder, don’t act on it.”

“The human race’s situation is stable for now. Even if a major war breaks out in the future, the outcome isn’t something you or I can decide.”

“So it’s better for you and Snow Spirit Star to stay deep in the Extreme Void Domain and preserve a legacy for the human race,” Xu Fan said, clearly against encouraging any reckless actions.

“The Elder Council came here before the space was sealed, split into two groups.”

“One group urged me to bring Snow Spirit Star into the fight against the beast race, while the other advised me to stay hidden.”

“Didn’t you choose to stay hidden, Snow Spirit Respected Elder?” Xu Fan asked.

“No, I decided to contribute to the human race and followed the Elder Council member back to headquarters. But then…” Snow Spirit Respected Elder sighed.

“What happened?”

“The respected elder coordinating the battle just glanced at me and said my strength was too weak, so I should go back.”

“According to him, if I faced even a moderately strong beast king, I’d be taken out in one strike,” Snow Spirit Respected Elder explained.

“That’s harsh!”

“It really was. I was about to argue, but a Core Formation stage combat specialist from the Elder Council shut me down.”

“After returning from the Elder Council, I decided to focus on hiding with Snow Spirit Star until the human race prevails,” Snow Spirit Respected Elder said, gazing at the Star Formation in the sky.

“So that’s why you care so much about the star formation,” Xu Fan realized.

“That’s why I’m asking, when will the Grand Elder upgrade my star formation to the level you mentioned, where it can absorb calamities?” Snow Spirit Respected Elder asked, looking at Xu Fan with hope.

“……”

So you’ve been waiting for me here!

“Snow Spirit Respected Elder, the Star Formation on Snow Spirit Star already ensures it can avoid all Beast Race Warships. Isn’t that enough?” Xu Fan replied.

“It is enough, but as a respected elder of the human race, I feel a duty to fight for our people.”

“So I’m asking the Grand Elder to modify the star formation as you described. Then I can pilot Snow Spirit Star to guard the giant rock barrier and hunt down Beast Race Warships. That way, I can still contribute to the human race,” Snow Spirit Respected Elder concluded.
