Chapter 501: Super Giant Stars

“I admire your determination to help the human race, Snow Spirit Respected Elder. Once I become a great master of formations, I’ll come right away to help upgrade the star formation of Snow Spirit Star,” Xu Fan said respectfully.

“A great master of formations, huh? That level of star formation is beyond what even an array master can handle,” Snow Spirit Respected Elder replied, her tone tinged with disappointment.

“Until the formation is upgraded, please ensure your safety and that of Snow Spirit Star,” Xu Fan advised.

The formations he set up weren’t foolproof; taking the initiative to attack would come with significant limitations.

“I understand.”

Snow Spirit Respected Elder handed Xu Fan a starmap.

“This is the positioning starmap for Snow Spirit Star. If the Grand Elder ever needs anything, you can come find me anytime.”

Xu Fan examined the starmap and then asked, “Snow Spirit Respected Elder, are there many ancient stars like yours in the deeper parts of the Extreme Void Domain?”

“There are quite a few. This is the eastern region of the inner domain of the Extreme Void Domain. As far as I know, the Elder Council has certified 108 ancient stars, and Snow Spirit Star is one of them.”

“Before the space was sealed, ancient stars could teleport to one another. Now, it’s like the fairy cities on the central continent—each one fights on its own,” Snow Spirit Respected Elder explained.

“108 stars…” Xu Fan murmured, his mind racing at the thought of such a vast untapped market.

“I know what the Grand Elder is thinking. If Snow Spirit Star needs an upgrade to its star formation, at least half of them likely do too.”

“If you’re interested, you can pilot the Star Ship around this area. When ancient stars are nearby, the starmap will react and convey information, though it won’t pinpoint exact locations,” Snow Spirit Respected Elder added.

“Haha, Snow Spirit Respected Elder, you read my mind,” Xu Fan said with a grin.

“I hope the Grand Elder will focus on mastering the formations discipline. When you become a great master of formations, Snow Spirit Star is willing to offer all its treasures to help upgrade the star formation.”

“Deal!”

Just then, the Serpent Spirit Ship appeared in the sky.

“Snow Spirit Respected Elder, we’ll part ways here,” Xu Fan said.

Snow Spirit Respected Elder waved goodbye.

After returning to the Serpent Spirit Ship, Xu Fan set course for the giant rock barrier area.

Onboard the Serpent Spirit Ship, everyone congratulated Xu Fan on his successful mission.

“Grand Elder, do you think it’s too late for me to start learning formations and artifact crafting?” Spirit Cut Elder asked, his voice tinged with envy.

Xu Fan’s rewards had left him feeling a bit envious.

“It’s never too late to learn. The Hidden Spirit Sect offers courses on formations and Basic Forging. Spirit Cut Elder, you should check them out when you have the chance,” Xu Fan replied with a smile.

At that moment, his mind was elsewhere—he was thinking about how to convince his second clone to return and continue working for him.

“Alright! When we get back to the Hidden Spirit Sect, I’ll take a look,” Spirit Cut Elder said.

Suddenly, Grape reported that five giant beast race warships had been detected 40 million miles ahead.

Instantly, everyone in the control room was on high alert.

“Let’s take them down!” Spirit Cut Elder exclaimed, his hands moving swiftly over the controls of the Serpent Spirit Ship.

“Hold on. Let’s observe them in stealth first,” Xu Fan said, sensing that something about this situation wasn’t right.

Spirit Cut Elder instructed Grape to activate stealth mode.

As the outer wall of the Serpent Spirit Ship shifted, it completely vanished from its original spot.

As the Serpent Spirit Ship drew closer, the phantom map finally revealed the shapes of the five giant beast race warships.

At this moment, everyone was looking at the phantom map, no longer paying attention to the five giant beast race warships.

“A Spirit Ore Star comparable in size to an ancient star! Grand Elder, we’ve struck gold!” Spirit Cut exclaimed excitedly, like a gold miner stumbling upon a massive gold nugget.

Xu Fan, however, remained calm. Seeing the Spirit Ore Star that rivaled an ancient star, he felt a strong urge not to act rashly.

“Let’s stay calm and observe for a while,” Xu Fan said thoughtfully.

Seeing Xu Fan’s serious expression, everyone suppressed their excitement and focused intently on the phantom map.

At that moment, they noticed a giant turtle trailing behind the Spirit Ore Star—the same one that had nearly crushed them before.

“It seems the beast race really has ways to control these giant beasts,” Spirit Cut said in surprise.

“This isn’t control; it was raised by someone since it was young,” Li Xingci stated, his gaze piercing through the phantom map to the giant turtle’s enormous, emotion-filled eyes.

“Xingci is as observant as ever,” Xu Fan nodded, realizing he hadn’t noticed this detail until after returning from the demon race.

“Now the question is, where do they get young beasts or eggs in the Extreme Void Domain?” Xu Fan pondered, his mind drifting to the Dragon Eggs at home that still hadn’t hatched.

“I’ve looked into this before, but I found no relevant records in the Elder Council,” Su Rantian said.

“However, there’s a theory that giant beasts keep their young in their inner space and only release them when they mature,” she continued.

“This is a speculation from a titled elder in the Elder Council,” Su Rantian added.

“That doesn’t sound promising,” Xu Fan replied.

“Grand Elder, should we continue to follow or do something else?” Spirit Cut asked.

“We’re no match for them. Let’s speed up and return to the human race navigation route to report this to the Elder Council,” Xu Fan instructed.

“Based on the trajectory of the five giant beast race warships, they’re likely heading out of the northern region,” Xu Fan said, signaling Spirit Cut to steer toward the nearest giant rock barrier.

Three months later, after traveling at maximum speed, the Serpent Spirit Ship finally reached the nearest Human Race Navigation Route Star.

Su Rantian used her position in the Elder Council to report the situation to the Elder Council headquarters.

“We’ve done all we can; now it’s up to the Elder Council to act,” Xu Fan said.

Meanwhile, in the northern region of the inner domain of the Extreme Void Domain, a massive Ten Thousand Star Ship, hundreds of miles long, appeared before the five giant beast race warships escorting the Spirit Ore Star.

“Damn it! Who leaked our location?!” an enraged beast king shouted from the giant beast warship.

“Leave the Spirit Ore Star, and you’ll live. Resist, and you’ll die,” a voice from the Ten Thousand Star Ship declared.

“Roar!”

The Celestial Turtle appeared before the Ten Thousand Star Ship, its eyes filled with caution.

“Little turtle, do you want me to send you hiding in your shell again?” came a taunting voice from the Ten Thousand Star Ship.

The Celestial Turtle’s eyes flickered with reluctance, but it eventually turned to the five giant beast race warships and let out a low cry.

“Let’s go!” The leading beast king, though unwilling, abandoned the Spirit Ore Star they had been towing.

On Hidden Spirit Island, at the tranquil Ten Thousand-Mile Giant Lake, a small boat floated on the water. Xu Fan lay back, relaxing.

“Why do I keep feeling like someone’s cursing me lately?”

“Ah, forget it. Their curses don’t concern me. Being a salted fish is what matters!”
