Chapter 502: One Hundred and Eight Artifact Sets

Xu Fan had been lying on the spiritual boat for a short while when the Second Clone arrived.

“So, how was the long holiday? Over a year of fun, right?” Xu Fan asked with a grin.

Over the past year, the First and Second Clones had traveled to every place they could think of.

They also managed to watch all the Anime and read all the novels that Xu Fan had given them as rewards.

“Is there work now? Just tell me what’s up,” the Second Clone said, his face full of energy and enthusiasm.

“Next time Spirit Cut Elder heads out, you’re going with him.”

“There are a lot of ancient stars out there, and their protective formations need updating.”

“The respected elders guarding those stars are loaded,” Xu Fan said, showing the Second Clone the hefty rewards he’d just received.

“Wait, did you sell your grandson’s celestial tool and that staff?!” the Second Clone exclaimed, shocked.

“Of course not! I just helped them set up a high-end star formation,” Xu Fan said with a sly smile, pulling out a miniature model of the formation to show off.

“This? This is worth that much spirit ore?” The Second Clone’s eyes lit up with excitement.

“Ah, I see. You want me to tag along with Spirit Cut Elder to the Extreme Void Domain for some work,” the Second Clone said, catching on.

“Exactly. If we take on a job involving, say, over ten stars, we could earn enough to build our own Star Ship. Imagine that—a Star Ship crafted by our own hands!”

“Doesn’t that sound thrilling?” Xu Fan said, his voice brimming with excitement.

“Thrilling? Maybe. But I know it’s going to keep me busy for a long time.”

“So, I’m asking for a year-long break after every ten years of work,” the Second Clone stated firmly.

As a top-notch employee, he knew exactly when to negotiate.

“Sure, why not?” Xu Fan clapped his hands, agreeing that a year off for a decade of work was more than fair.

“Oh, and one more thing—I want to bring the First Clone with me,” the Second Clone added with a grin, not wanting to shoulder all the work alone.

“No way! You’ve got a mission and you’re dragging me into it? What if there’s work back at the sect?” The ghostly image of the First Clone appeared beside the Second Clone, clearly annoyed.

If he stayed at the Hidden Spirit Sect, he’d likely be in charge as a foreman. But going out with the Second Clone? He’d just end up being an assistant.

“How about this? I’ll assign some disciples skilled in formations to go with you.”

“You can teach them while setting up the star formation. That way, it won’t feel like such a chore,” Xu Fan suggested.

“I think the main body’s got a point. Bringing me along would just be a waste of my talents,” the First Clone chimed in, siding with Xu Fan.

“Fine, let’s do it that way. When I head out, I’ll take those talented formation disciples with me,” the Second Clone said, nodding in agreement.

“Go ahead, Second Clone. When our Star Ship is finished, you’ll get to name it,” Xu Fan promised.

“Main body, you’d better remember that,” the Second Clone said, nodding before he left.

“Main body, what about me? Any tasks here?” the First Clone asked, feeling restless after over a year of doing nothing.

“If you’re bored, go ahead and refine some artifacts you’re interested in. Just don’t touch the spirit ores at the celestial tool level,” Xu Fan said after a moment of thought.

Truth be told, during his year-long break, the First Clone had already crafted five artifacts, each with its own unique and quirky powers.

“Got it,” the First Clone said with a nod.

After the First Clone left, Xu Fan gazed at Bear Two’s cloud in the sky and declared, "It’s time for me to go into seclusion for a while."

Since his return from the Extreme Void Domain, he had felt an increasing urge to retreat; otherwise, something significant might occur.

"But first, I need to ensure my good brother is settled," Xu Fan said with a smile.

In a vast dojo of the Hidden Spirit Sect, sword qi soared. Numerous beams of sword light crisscrossed and clashed within the dojo.

At that moment, Wang Yulun’s phantom moved like a ghost, and the sword light he occasionally unleashed made it difficult for Wang Xiangchi, who was at a higher level, to evade.

Before long, Wang Xiangchi was pushed to the brink of defeat.

Just then, Wang Xiangchi’s exclusive BjM music began to play.

"Dad, this track is called ‘The Prelude Before Despair.’"

The uplifting background music played, stirring Wang Yulun’s excitement, prompting him to activate the highest-level combat system.

As the BGM played, Wang Xiangchi’s battle rhythm quickened, and the force behind his sword light intensified.

"Wind!"

"Thunder!"

At this moment, Wang Xiangchi bore wind and thunder wings on his back, and his spiritual sword was imbued with wind and thunder attributes.

In an instant, a beam of wind and thunder sword light flashed past Wang Yulun’s figure.

As the battle concluded, Wang Xiangchi looked at his father in astonishment.

"Dad, you’ve improved so much; without the BjM, you wouldn’t be able to suppress me at all," Wang Xiangchi said with some emotion.

Ever since his father received his master’s morale-boosting technique, his fighting strength had been growing rapidly. If it weren’t for the indirect suppression, he might have truly lost to his father.

"Of course, your dad was also quite talented back in the day," Wang Yulun said with a smile. Although he didn’t defeat his son, he was very satisfied to reach this level.

Just then, a voice announced,

"Grand Elder is looking for you at Ten Thousand-Mile Giant Lake."

"Perfect, I was just about to find Big Brother Xu."

"Wang Xiangchi, you go have fun."

Above the Ten Thousand-Mile Giant Lake, a spiritual boat drifted with the wind.

"What does Big Brother Xu want with me?" Wang Yulun asked with a smile, as he hadn’t seen his brother in over a year.

"Do you remember the matter I mentioned a few years ago?"

"I asked you to take the money-making path, and I’ve finished crafting your money-making gear."

With a wave of his hand, Xu Fan summoned a massive formation, where one hundred and eight artifact sets were arranged.

"This is the money-making gear I crafted for you. Stand in the center of the formation to begin the bonding ceremony."

"This way, this money-making gear can accompany you for all your future lives," Xu Fan said.

"One hundred and eight artifacts!" Wang Yulun exclaimed in shock, feeling the powerful energy emanating from each artifact.

"Big Brother Xu, I don’t deserve this!"

"You and I have weathered many storms together, so let’s not say anything more. Just stand in the center and begin," Xu Fan insisted, pushing Wang Yulun forward.

He joked that even if Wang Yulun truly didn’t want to accept it, he would make him do it.

With a look of heartfelt emotion on Wang Yulun’s face, he completed the bonding ceremony for the one hundred and eight artifact sets.

"This money-making gear has a somewhat complex operating system, so it will take some time to get used to it. In your free time, just spar with your son often," Xu Fan said with a smile.

With one hundred and eight artifact sets, not only would he be able to contend with his son in the Transformation Stage, but he could defeat opponents even at higher levels.
