Chapter 515
byChapter 515: Shu Anshi’s Confidence
Divine Grace Peak, Divine Grace Palace!
Near the summit of Divine Grace Peak stood a towering palace that appeared embedded in the cliff wall from every angle, showing no traces of human craftsmanship—as if it had grown naturally from the mountain itself.
Above the sea of clouds, sunlight bathed the main hall of Divine Grace Palace, casting a shimmering layer of multicolored light that danced across its surface.
“That’s the main hall of Divine Grace Palace. Among our 360,000 disciples, fewer than a thousand have entered it in the last millennium,” Kun Huazi murmured, awe coloring his voice as he gazed at the radiant structure.
“I’ve only stepped inside once—when Master formally accepted me as his disciple. Even the Palace Master summoned me for reasons unknown,” Zhuge Chong added, reverence plain in his tone.
Ye Yun frowned. Both Kun Huazi and Zhuge Chong were formal disciples of Tian Yunzi, holding privileged status on Absolute Heart Peak. Yet even they rarely visited the main hall. What made this place so exclusive?
“Don’t fret, junior brother,” Shu Anshi said calmly, noting his companions’ tension. “The main hall’s no grander than our peak. The Palace Master and elders simply have higher cultivation levels—though Master’s no weaker. Relax.”
Ye Yun studied the hall without fear. He’d met Nascent Soul stage experts before. His real worry was whether the Heart of Immortals and Demons hidden within him might be exposed.
“This…is Divine Grace Palace?!”
The Ancestor of the Sword Path’s voice suddenly roared in Ye Yun’s mind, trembling with excitement. The ancient spirit had been dormant, consolidating its soul—what prompted this outburst now?
“This hall is the true Divine Grace Palace!” the Ancestor insisted. “It holds secrets tied to the Saint’s Secret Vault!”
Ye Yun’s breath hitched. “The Immortal Sword Sect’s legendary treasure trove?”
“Yes! One of my soul fragments was sealed here because of it. There’s a spatial gate inside leading directly to the vault!”
For a heartbeat, Ye Yun’s pulse raced—then logic reasserted itself. If such a gate existed, the palace would’ve plundered the vault ages ago. The Ancestor’s fractured memory must be misleading him…yet why had so few disciples entered this hall over centuries?
As they approached, another oddity struck Ye Yun. The hall’s size remained constant whether viewed from afar or up close—defying all spatial logic.
“It’s an illusion array,” Shu Anshi explained, noting his confusion.
They climbed crystalline steps into a vast chamber where towering characters spelling “Divine Grace” glowed above an elevated platform. Six elders flanked a lavishly robed man at the center.
“Disciples of Tian Yunzi present themselves!” Shu Anshi announced.
A mellifluous voice bid them enter. As they crossed the threshold, the space warped—revealing the true scale of the hall.
“Kneel before your Palace Master!” thundered a sharp-faced elder on the platform’s left—Ling Xudu, Fourth Level Nascent Soul expert and longtime rival of Tian Yunzi.
An oppressive force crashed over them, demanding submission. Yet before Ye Yun’s knees could buckle, Shu Anshi’s sleeves rippled. An invisible force neutralized the pressure.
“Elder Ling,” Shu Anshi said coolly, “I kneel only to heaven, earth, and my parents. Not even Master receives such deference—as you well know.”
“Etiquette demands—”
“Palace Master,” Shu Anshi interrupted, addressing the central figure directly, “since when does Divine Grace enforce such…etiquette?”
The chamber stilled. What gave this disciple the audacity to challenge an elder—and implicitly, the Palace Master himself?
