Chapter 545: Yin Suxin

A fragrant breeze swept through, and a girl of breathtaking beauty appeared before the crowd.

Yin Suxin appeared to be in her early twenties, clad in a soft yellow dress. Her hair cascaded like a waterfall, tied back only by a blue ribbon.

Her beauty was striking, blending purity with a touch of childlike innocence. Her eyes, dark and luminous, gleamed like polished ink.

“What did you just say?” Yan Rushui’s voice trembled with rage.

Yin Suxin drew a deep breath, her voice clear yet resolute. “Shu Anshi and I share mutual affection. We’re fellow disciples who’ve supported each other for years, growing in cultivation together. My feelings can no longer be hidden. Master, why let the feud between our peaks cloud your judgment?”

Though her voice quivered slightly, her resolve remained unshaken.

A shadow of guilt flickered in Shu Anshi’s eyes, as if ashamed of his own hesitation. But it vanished quickly, replaced by steely determination.

He leapt down from the platform to stand beside Yin Suxin. Their eyes met, softness intertwining.

“Senior Yan, I beg your approval,” Shu Anshi declared, his voice ringing across the hall.

“Never! Demon Suppression Peak and Absolute Heart Peak will never unite. After today, Yin Suxin will be confined to Demon Suppression Peak—forever!” Yan Rushui roared, her composure crumbling.

“Junior Yan, why interfere? Love has always been a matter of the heart. You can shackle their bodies, but not their feelings,” Divine Grace Palace Master Yu Qingzhi said calmly, shaking her head.

“Tian Yunzi!” Yan Rushui turned sharply, her glare piercing. “Rein in your disciple! If Shu Anshi dares approach Suxin again, I’ll show no mercy!”

Tian Yunzi’s eyes half-opened, his tone gentle yet firm. “Will you imprison her forever? Your own past heartbreak doesn’t mean everyone is as reckless. Suxin and Anshi are well-matched. I approve.”

Yan Rushui’s hands blazed with swirling light as she lunged forward, poised to strike Shu Anshi.

“Strike him, and our sibling bond shatters. Old debts will be settled,” Tian Yunzi said coldly, rising to his feet.

“Excellent! Let’s see you try!” Yan Rushui’s hair whipped wildly as she spat, “Today, I’ll kill Shu Anshi. Who dares stop me?”

“With me here?” Tian Yunzi smirked. “You’ll kill no one.”

“Enough!” Divine Grace Palace Master Yu Qingzhi’s voice turned icy. “We gather to confront the Misty Sect, not bicker. Their matter can wait.”

Though the three were peers, Yu Qingzhi’s authority as Palace Master commanded respect.

Yan Rushui shot Yin Suxin a venomous glare. “This isn’t over. Once we crush the Misty Sect, you’ll answer for this.”

Yin Suxin trembled but held her gaze steady, silent defiance in her eyes.

Shu Anshi gently clasped her shaking hand, his grip tightening reassuringly.

Yan Rushui’s fury threatened to erupt. Only the presence of Tian Yunzi and Yu Qingzhi kept her from attacking.

“Junior Yan,” Yu Qingzhi interjected, “set your terms. If Shu Anshi fulfills them, cease your opposition.”

A cruel gleam lit Yan Rushui’s eyes as the lovers bowed in unison.

“Any trial,” Shu Anshi vowed, “I’ll endure to be with Suxin.”

“Anything?” Yan Rushui sneered.

“Yes.”

“Then fetch me a young Kunpeng from the North Sea’s depths and a demon fruit from Death Valley’s heart. Do this, and she’s yours.”

Shu Anshi paled, rage trembling on his lips.

“This is madness!” Yu Qingzhi snapped. “Kunpengs surpass Earth Immortals! Death Valley’s guardians slaughter even saints!”

“I’m merciful,” Yan Rushui retorted. “The fledgling Kunpeng may only be Nascent Soul-level. Refuse, and I’ll have Tian Yunzi’s head instead.”

“Master!” Tears streamed down Yin Suxin’s face. “You’d condemn me to despair?”

“Return with me,” Yan Rushui softened slightly. “Your talent could reach Earth Immortal realm. Why waste it on a man? They’re all worthless!”

Yin Suxin stood motionless, tears splattering the palace floor.

Shu Anshi stepped forward, flames of determination igniting his voice. “Three years! I’ll bring both prizes. Break your oath then, and I’ll show no mercy!”

“Mercy?” Yan Rushui laughed. “Succeed, and you’ll surpass me—mercy won’t matter.” Her laughter dripped with mockery, knowing the tasks meant death.

Shu Anshi met her gaze coldly before turning to Yin Suxin, his eyes melting into tenderness.

“Wait for me, Suxin. Three years.”

Through her tears, Yin Suxin nodded.
