Chapter 232 Part 2: The Origin of the Pure White Witch, Wedding Magic, the Pact Between Two (2)

The girl looked at the smiling Pure White Witch in confusion, her cheeks puffing up. She knew Little Qing wouldn’t suddenly kiss her for no reason, so that kiss was used like this?

Charlotte felt a bit emotional. Although she could still refuse the contract, how could she refuse Little Qing? Just thinking about the other’s body condition made her little frustrations disappear, replaced by a tender sense of hurt and love.

Chu Yuanqing felt a bit guilty but still remained silent, continuing to stare seriously at the other.

Charlotte pouted and irritably took down the lantern. She looked at the Pure White Witch’s delicate face and sighed:

"Alright, alright, I’ll sign it. Where on earth did you get this kind of magic?"

The Last Diva reluctantly placed the lantern on the contract and signed.

In the next moment, blue magical particles flowed in, turning into the ink that printed the Flower of the Soul, allowing the forget-me-not to be inscribed upon it, completing their contract.

After finishing all of this, Charlotte murmured quietly:

"Little Qing has become a bad person who plays with girls’ hearts, I can’t even imagine how many girls you secretly bullied with this kind of magic!"

Chu Yuanqing, feeling embarrassed, pressed her lips together. She tried to ignore Charlotte’s strange words and explained seriously:

"This is a temporary spell inspired by a blessing. I only used it on you, and I haven’t done anything bad."

Then, the Pure White Witch also pressed the lantern to seal and sign it. A bunch of tea flowers blossomed from it, and the contract truly took shape, instantly splitting into two, transforming into silver and blue streams of light that fell onto their fair wrists, forming bracelets.

Charlotte curiously raised her hand to look. It was a bracelet made of pearls and camellias, designed with intricate cut-outs and embellishments that captured the essence of tea flowers. It looked quite exquisite, and if infused with magic, it could blossom with illusory tea flowers, faintly overflowing with a corresponding floral fragrance.

Chu Yuanqing’s hand was similar, with tiny diamonds and sapphires on the bracelet, forming one forget-me-not after another. They were arranged with spaces in between, and the design was intentionally not symmetrical. As the flowers varied in size, the shades of blue in the sapphires changed as well, just like the kaleidoscope-like eyes of The Last Diva.

Rather than being a contract bracelet meant to bind, it felt more like a brand new token of love.

Chu Yuanqing felt a bit confused but then found peace.

The Pure White Witch would weave wishes into spells, aiming to prevent the other from facing death. When she wished, her heart was filled with love and affection for Charlotte, which would naturally cause a subtle change in the magic.

In short, the initial goal was achieved, so it was not a big problem.

In Charlotte’s eyes, it was as if stars were glowing, overflowing with joy. She was like someone who received a ring during a proposal, carefully touching the bracelet, unable to resist joyfully thinking to herself, "What contract magic? This is clearly meant for marriage!"

Hmm, let’s change the content of the contract.

The girl thought this and suddenly looked up at the other person, cautiously asking:

"Little Qing hasn’t used this magic on other girls, right? It’s not okay to propose randomly!"

Charlotte listened as Chu Yuanqing repeated it for the first time, unable to hide the smile at the corners of her lips, which showed both happiness and sadness. She gently rubbed the flower charm on her bracelet, took a deep breath, and seriously asked:

"Little Qing, can you tell me about your health?"

Chu Yuanqing would never joke about such things. This savior, who had created countless miracles with the blessing of immortality, saying her life was short meant she had truly reached an unsolvable dead end.

This could already be guessed from the few words exchanged.

—Sea of Truth.

This exists in such a way that it makes an entire planet or world seem incredibly small. Its erosion is like a natural disaster that overturns all living beings; it is an inescapable curse of death.

But…

Charlotte still felt unwilling to accept it. She believed that as long as Little Qing could reclaim the "immortality," there would still be hope.

That was the most overpowered blessing in the previous timeline. Even if it was erased from the timeline and causality, just by believing that she wouldn’t die, it was a miraculous skill that allowed her to live again.

Tang Liuli returns to the timeline with the Blood of Sighs to gather information about the Calamity God.

The essence of it is to join Chu Yuanqing in confronting the Calamity God, watching this not-yet-invincible savior forcefully exempt the other of their power through immortality, while trying to hold the situation together with countless deaths.

Most of the outcomes lead to Chu Yuanqing’s own collapse, as the blessing of immortality fails, resulting in a complete disaster ending, and the information gained is the only treasure Tang Liuli can bring back.

However, this action caused a disruption in the timeline, causing Chu Yuanqing to occasionally synchronize with herself from the disaster ending, leading to an overall collapse of the situation, which is why Tang Liuli made Charlotte conduct a "funeral" for her.

But that is all in the past.

The current Chu Yuanqing is no longer naive; she is a savior who has conquered the hardest challenges. Even the curse of the Sea of Truth cannot theoretically interfere with the activation of immortality.

Chu Yuanqing understands what Charlotte is thinking, and she softly says:

"The curse of the Sea of Truth is constantly tearing apart my soul, erasing my past memories. About… many things from before, I can hardly remember. Even if you tell me, I will forget quickly."

"As for the blessings and powers, aside from a pendant that turned me into a magical girl, they have all become an inseparable foundation of pure white. It is impossible to rely on these to break the deadlock."

Charlotte fell silent when she heard this. She knew the conditions to activate the blessing of immortality. If Little Qing ever truly forgot who she was, and lost all memories of the previous world line, then even if she regained immortality, she could never activate that blessing again.

This is an almost unsolvable cycle.

If Chu Yuanqing wants to regain the blessing of immortality while still awake, it means forcing the pure white to collapse early. The result would be a total Disaster Wave, sending the New Game Plus back to the terrible state of the first playthrough.

But after the pure white collapses, with Chu Yuanqing’s determination, she might be able to take up Levatin once more with the will to die and charge at the gods of the forbidden zone. However, she will have no time to convince herself that she won’t die to activate the blessing.

Because these two things contradict each other.

Charlotte noticed something else and furrowed her brow as she asked,

"So, Little Qing, you are different from us. You didn’t transform your life form slowly with a lantern made of Light Stone, but directly became a magical girl through a blessing?"

"But in my memory, there shouldn’t be any materialized blessings or powers. I may have just not remembered, but since all your power has turned into the foundation of the pure white, it can’t be an exception."

Chu Yuanqing was momentarily confused by this. She truly couldn’t remember when this pendant was in her soul. It seemed to be from the previous world line, or maybe from 17 years ago.

But actually, this is not surprising. My memories are already full of holes, and the kinds of blessings are diverse. When I can’t remember clearly, I naturally classify them as a special blessing.

The Pure White Witch answered honestly:

"I don’t know."

Charlotte thought for a moment. She squeezed Chu Yuanqing’s thigh, looked into those beautiful golden eyes, leaned in closer, admired that cute face for a while, and with a gentle smile said:

"I think this is a gift from planetary consciousness for you. You see, you worked hard to save this world, giving it a chance to start over. Surely, if there’s any sense to it, you would get a little reward, right?"

"And the biggest difference between the new era and the past is that it gave birth to the Light Stone and Ether, from which the magical girl system originated."

"But that pendant happens to be so special that it allows you to transform into a magical girl without a Light Stone. There must be some special connection in it."

The Last Diva knew more about this than Chu Yuanqing. As the Holy Maiden and the "Beacon," she understood many secrets of the magical girls. The more she spoke, the more she believed that the pendant was like a hidden reward for completing New Game Plus in a game.

Chu Yuanqing felt a bit dazed. If it weren’t for this pendant, her actual death would have happened in just a few days. Most likely, she would have quietly died in a rented room in Sea City, unaware of the truth, as Chu Yuanying.

As for participating in "Dazzling Stage," meeting Charlotte by chance during a performance, as we are now, is something that could never happen.

Therefore, if it truly is a gift from planetary consciousness, calling it a great gift would not be an exaggeration.

On the other hand, when she was close to Charlotte, she realized that although the other person had incredible potential as a witch, she was still not perfect and was not the best Pure White Witch.

This actually felt very strange.

Chu Yuanqing did not think her soul was more noble, beautiful, or honorable than Charlotte’s. If the elements that make up a Pure White Witch, aside from a saint-like soul, include a pendant, it would explain the doubt in her heart.

Hope shone in Charlotte’s eyes, the curve of her lips held less sadness and was filled with expectation for the future, and she said seriously:

"No matter what, Little Qing is special as a magical girl, and maybe you can create a different miracle and break the curse of the Sea of Truth!"
