Chapter 419: The Amethyst Dragon Beast

"That treasure was refined by the Benevolence Token using spoils from Sword Fortress. As a candidate Token Lord who personally participated, you’re entitled to its usage rights per regulations. However, ownership remains with Mo Sect – you may use but never sell it. Understood?" Mo Qianxun stated.

"Whoa!" Fang Lie exclaimed in delight, "Bird Bro actually pulled this off? What’s the full story? Explain properly!"

Mo Qianxun shook his head before recounting events, concluding: "While White Bone World-Breaking Gate counts as your Spoils of War, its significance to Mo Sect means management rights stay with us. Though housed in Iron-Walled Jin City temporarily, its presence extends Mo Sect’s influence over surrounding tens of thousands of miles!"

"Got it!" Fang Lie grinned. "Never expected Flying Sword of Void Penetration to annihilate Thunder Tribulation Immortals so easily! Both are eighth-rank large treasure weapons, yet worlds apart!"

"Apples and oranges," Mo Qianxun corrected. "Flying Sword specializes in destruction, while White Bone Gate creates permanent Space Gates. Sometimes the Gate’s value surpasses any weapon. Truthfully, we’ve plenty of attack treasures – this Gate’s replication potential excites me most!"

"If we decipher its secrets, Mo Sect’s strength could skyrocket!"

"Any progress?" Fang Lie pressed.

"Difficult." Mo Qianxun grimaced. "Only three-and-a-half White Bone Gates remain from antiquity. My studies suggest it harnesses grievances, but specifics elude me."

"Half a gate?"

"Shattered relic only teleports small groups – pale imitation of original." Mo Qianxun changed subjects: "Now, crucial matter requires your input."

"What’s that?"

"Know of Righteous Sects Alliance?"

"Of course – eight righteous sects’ pact against Demonic Path. Mutual defense agreement prevents direct assaults on mountain gates."

"Precisely. While Great War’s avoided, constant skirmishes occur. To incentivize demon-slaying, Alliance offers eighth-rank Treasures for killing Thunder Tribulation Immortals."

"Who funds such prizes?"

"The Eight Righteous Sects each contributed three eighth-rank Treasures – low, middle, high-grade. Xuan Sect’s vault holds nineteen remaining after millennia."

"Math doesn’t add up. Twenty-four minus eight should leave sixteen."

"Disputed Spoils of War often get deposited instead of awarded. Now, since Flying Sword eliminated White Bone Sect’s Thunder Tribulation Immortal, you qualify for eighth-rank middle-grade Treasure from nine available."

"However…" Mo Qianxun leaned forward, "I request you yield this claim to recover Mo Sect’s lost eighth-rank beast puppet – Amethyst Dragon Beast."

"Stealing my reward?" Fang Lie bristled.

"Hardly!" Mo Qianxun raised palms. "East Kunlun stole this treasure centuries past. They deposited it in Alliance vault to block retrieval. Your claim could restore it."

"Why’s our treasure there?"

Mo Qianxun sighed, recounting: "Two Thunder Tribulation Immortal friends – Mo Sect and East Kunlun – discovered ancient Mo master’s tomb containing Amethyst Dragon Beast. The eighth-rank puppet had absorbed ground veins’ Spiritual Energy for millennia."

"East Kunlun cultivator betrayed our member post-discovery, seeking to sell puppet back. Mutual annihilation ensued. Dying Mo cultivator destroyed his life-bound treasure to send warning."

"East Kunlun deposited stolen puppet in Alliance vault to spite us. We retaliated by placing their Elder’s captured Eighth-Rank Flying Sword there. Thus began generations of grudges."

Fang Lie nodded grimly. "I’ll reclaim our puppet. But expect proper compensation!"
