Chapter 441
byChapter 441: Straight to Death
This young gentleman’s cultivation wasn’t particularly high, merely at the Nascent Soul True Immortal level. His aura felt weak and his Magic impure – obvious signs of cultivation forcibly boosted by spirit pills.
Yet he clearly held status here, daring to boast before numerous Wind Tribulation Immortals without drawing their contempt. This alone revealed his powerful backing.
The young master produced a foot-tall birdcage containing over a hundred miniature figures – all beautiful women. This special magical tool clearly served to imprison slaves.
He hoisted the cage triumphantly. "See these premium virgins? Several fourth and fifth-level Green Fox Demons among them – perfect furnace vessels! Trade spirit pills for this cage of beauties! A thousand-year opportunity!"
"Interesting. Not just virgins, but educated ones with floral fragrance. Not wild fox demons at all."
"Strange. If not wild, then captive-bred? Since when does Young Master Lan’s family keep fox demons?"
"Only one place domesticates fox demons – the Mo Sect Fang Family’s Ten Thousand Flower Valley. After Fang Lie’s recent takeover, he ordered the Jin Family to retrieve sold demons. Could these be those very ones?"
"Exactly!" Young Master Lan puffed his chest. "Premium stock from Ten Thousand Flower Valley! Took great effort to acquire. Any takers?"
A cultivator chuckled. "Everyone knows Fang Lie protects his people fiercely. You dare sell his subordinates publicly? Not afraid he’ll come for you?"
Young Master Lan guffawed. "That mere Mo Sect outer disciple? Qi Sea Realm trash? What’s to fear?"
"But he possesses the Kunlun Sword Token and Thunder Sound Golden Bell! Even Thunder Tribulation Immortals avoid provoking him!"
"Outdated news!" Young Master Lan sneered. "East Kunlun and Great Thunder Sound Temple declared they’ll only pretend cooperation if Fang Lie uses those Tokens now. His protection’s gone! If that bastard dares enter Chaos Demon City, I’ll slap him dead!"
As laughter peaked, a sharp crack echoed. Young Master Lan spun wildly before disgorging blood and three molars. His right cheek swelled grotesquely with five crimson fingerprints.
The hall fell silent. All stared at the humiliated young master who finally shrieked: "WHO HIT ME? DO YOU KNOW WHO MY FATHER IS?"
Another slap sent him spinning the opposite direction, his face now resembling bloated pork.
"COME OUT, COWARD!" he screeched, face purple with rage.
A black-robed figure emerged. "Just two slaps. No need to hide."
Young Master Lan hissed through swollen lips: "Who dares oppose me?"
The man lowered his hood. "Fang Lie. You mentioned slapping me dead? I’m here. Whenever you’re ready."
Gasps filled the hall as Young Master Lan paled.
"Well now, this spices things up!"
"Let’s see this slap of death!"
"Don’t joke. Fang Lie’s thousand-mile Qi Sea Realm and treasures could challenge Wind Tribulation Immortals. This pill-fed dandy stands no chance."
"Rash to act at auction though. Disrespects local powers."
"A dragon bold enough to cross rivers. With his undying nature and backing, even local lords won’t risk conflict."
"Indeed, this youngster’s future is limitless. With his undying nature protecting him, he’ll undoubtedly rise to power. Once he takes the Benevolence Token, becoming the Mo Sect’s Benevolence Token Lord, destroying Chaos Demon City would be as simple as flipping his hand. Who’d dare provoke such a man?"
As the crowd murmured, Young Master Lan’s face shifted between green and purple, rendered speechless.
Fang Lie tapped his foot impatiently before sneering, "What’s wrong? All bark and no bite? I’m still waiting for you to slap me dead. Well? Do it!"
"Fang Lie!" Young Master Lan choked out, "It was just a joke! Don’t go too far!"
"A joke?" Fang Lie scoffed. "I’ll treat your jokes like dog farts. But selling my family’s loyal servants? That demands answers! Either explain yourself, or I’ll have you carried out feet-first today!"
The caged figures suddenly stirred, fervently kowtowing toward Fang Lie though their muffled pleas remained unheard.
Panic twisted Young Master Lan’s features as humiliation burned away his fear. Remembering the auction’s no-killing rule, he blustered, "So I sold your slaves! What of it? You wouldn’t dare murder me here!"
"How forgetful." Fang Lie’s smile turned lethal. "The Fang Family rule states: When we kill, we care not for time nor place." A Soulfire Lance materialized in his raised hand.
The fiery projectile, thick as a duck egg and spanning three zhang, shot forth. Simultaneously, Fang Lie unleashed his Soul-Spirit Sting – a divine sense attack honed through Unity Divine Power and enhanced by Penglai Immortal Liquid.
Young Master Lan’s head snapped back as if struck by a hammer, blood streaming from seven orifices. The Soulfire Lance struck true, exploding his skull in a shower of gore.
Gasps filled the hall. "He actually did it!"
"The Fang Family’s ‘charge through the South Wall’ saying isn’t exaggeration! This madman!"
"Doesn’t he fear the auction’s enforcers?"
A crushing Spiritual Pressure descended as a red-robed elder materialized, roaring, "You dare break auction rules?!"
The elder secretly regretted intervening. After Fang Lie’s recent deeds – slaying a White Bone Sect’s Thunder Tribulation Immortal at Iron-Walled Jin City and seizing their Eighth-rank White Bone World-Breaking Gate – few wished to cross him.
Fang Lie casually juggled crystalline orbs. "Enlighten me about these… rules."
The elder froze, recognizing the thunder pearls – each containing a Thunder Tribulation Immortal’s full strike. Seven or eight could level half Chaos Demon City.
"Well?" Fang Lie prompted, smiling coldly.
The elder’s throat worked soundlessly. Fang Lie could resurrect through his undying nature, but he… could not.
