Chapter 508
byChapter 508: Sci-Fi Wonders, Celestial Court Headquarters!
At present, the positions Mu Lin mentioned—Four Sovereigns, Five Elders, Six Ministries, Seven Primordials, and Eight Extremes—all lay beyond the dominion of the True Spirit Domain Chart.
Mu Lin carried a hint of arrogance but wasn’t recklessly overconfident.
He clearly understood that while he might one day surpass True Lord Tianwu and the others, their current statuses remained equal. Thus, subduing True Lords and alien deities wasn’t part of Mu Lin’s plans.
Even after establishing the Celestial Court, Mu Lin’s role would merely place him among the Four Sovereigns. At best, he’d become their leader—the Jade Emperor of the Xuan Kong.
The fact that multiple human True Lords and alien deities existed, too numerous for the Four Sovereigns and Five Elders to include entirely, and that the Jade Emperor of the Xuan Kong wasn’t an ordinary Sovereign… these were minor details.
After all, everyone knew the “Four Heavenly Kings” actually numbered five—such things were common sense. Adding a few extra members to the Four Sovereigns or Five Elders seemed perfectly reasonable.
As for the Jade Emperor of the Xuan Kong? In his past life, this title belonged to a higher authority, not the Four Sovereigns. But past rules didn’t bind the present. This Celestial Court was Mu Lin’s creation, and his word would define it.
……
When True Lord Tianwu and the others learned of Mu Lin’s ambition to lead the Celestial Court, they didn’t refuse. Uniting human-friendly alien deities and human True Lords would boost efficiency and crisis response.
Mu Lin treated them with respect. The Four Sovereigns and Five Elders were essentially ancient emperors and True Lords overseeing their own territories. He wouldn’t issue direct commands but would consult them on decisions. With such terms, refusal made little sense—though freedom from constraints wasn’t their only motive.
Like the alien deities, True Lord Tianwu’s faction agreed partly to curry favor. The planet transformation plan had stunned them all.
They knew Mu Lin had wielded the powers of life for barely a month. If he could achieve so much in weeks, what might centuries as the Goddess of Life bring?
“Deityhood isn’t his ceiling…” Some True Lords suspected Mu Lin might breach the limits of True Lords and deities, ascending as a God King or eternal taboo—and perhaps guiding them too.
Their guess held truth. Mu Lin marched steadily toward taboo status. Already, he could hasten their rule comprehension through the Starry Sky Brain server, refining their paths—not via condescension, but calculation.
Of course, Mu Lin kept motives. While still weaker than True Lord Tianwu’s group, he’d never reveal his trump cards. Only as a God King far surpassing them would he share such tools—and naturally, allies closest to him would gain first access. Thus, both alien deities and human True Lords wisely chose to oblige him.
……
With True Lord Tianwu’s faction agreeing, the Celestial Court concept took shape—though still merely an idea. Talks with alien deities hadn’t started, and no headquarters site was chosen.
Negotiations fell to Yan Yunyu, Thunderbolt True Lord, and True Lord Tianwu. As for the headquarters? Mu Lin already had plans.
“Now, the people and objects in the Celestial Court aren’t truly bound to the True Spirit Domain Chart. But if I keep growing stronger, that could change. That’s why building the Celestial Court properly matters – we need True Lords and alien deities to feel they truly belong here.”
“To create that sense of belonging, our headquarters can’t be built carelessly… Wait, I’ve got it!”
Mu Lin recalled his Plant Dyson Sphere concept.
The plan involved encircling the sun with Fire Spirit Sky-Climbing Vines to absorb all solar energy. Through Five Elements conversion principles and special plants, the fire-type spiritual energy would transform into metal, wood, water, and earth energies. Using these combined forces, they’d create land and structures on the vines themselves – building cultivator sanctuaries to elevate humanity from Level 1 civilization directly to Level 2 (stellar civilization).
This plan was vast and wildly imaginative.
No other marvel could rival it as the Celestial Court’s headquarters.
“Choosing any random location would make other Deities dismiss the Celestial Court as my toy project.”
“But this grand headquarters shows them a tangible future. Those heavenly beings and True Lords would start genuinely accepting their roles as Four Sovereigns and Five Elders…”
Belongingness and visible progress – these were what Mu Lin wanted to demonstrate to alien deities.
……
Alien cultivation methods, philosophies, spiritual insights – all flowed into Mu Lin’s Starry Sky Brain server, expanding his knowledge. Foreign minerals, resources, and particularly precious genetic materials got cataloged systematically.
The surrendered divine qualities from alien Deities became an unexpected bonus. Using planet transformation devices as bait, this operation yielded tremendous gains. Even better, alien willingness to trade and ally removed humanity’s existential crisis – once True Lord Tianwu finalized agreements, the apocalypse threat would vanish.
Yet precisely during this success, True Lord Tianwu and Thunderbolt True Lord grew more cautious, recalling Mu Lin to their homeworld.
The reason? Not all cosmic beings sought cooperation.
True Lord Tianwu warned: “Allies gain mutual benefits. Normally, seeing your potential, most aliens would cooperate or at least stay neutral.”
“But many Deities roaming the cosmic void aren’t rational.”
“Some are corrupted by forbidden power, others insane… Mad evil gods abound. They act on destructive urges, craving slaughter or others’ despair.”
“Our current success makes those evil gods more desperate.”
“Outside our world, you’d face suicidal attacks. Stay inside until we secure things.”
Mu Lin agreed. Though his combat power had reached True God level after endless research (via Time Secret Realm and ten thousand clones), he saw no need for risks.
As the saying went – wise men don’t linger beneath crumbling walls. With his rapid growth continuing, the desperate ones were the evil gods.
“Keep developing safely. Then overwhelm enemies with tenfold, hundredfold, thousandfold strength – that’s the wise path.”
