Chapter 802: Valley of Myriad Paths

In the fairy city on the Universe Ship docking platform, a group of people were strolling around.

“Why does this fairy city feel so quiet? Is it because of the Spring Blossom Merchant Association?” Xu Fan remarked, looking at the cultivators walking down the street.

“Yes, every time the Spring Blossom Merchant Association visits the Ancient Cang Realm, things slow down for a while. But it only happens once every ten thousand years, so it’s not a big deal for the Ancient Cang Realm,” Ming Kong said, glancing at the empty shops.

“Are there any fun places in the Ancient Cang Realm?” Xu Fan asked.

“If you’re looking for something interesting, the Valley of Myriad Paths is probably the best. But the entrance fee is steep—2,000 Immortal Jade per person,” Ming Kong explained.

Xu Fan’s interest was piqued; the name sounded like it was made for him.

“What’s the Valley of Myriad Paths all about?”

“The middle thousand worlds can only hold so many wide road laws, and they’re usually incomplete.”

“So, to experience all the wide road laws, you’d need to be in the great thousand worlds or out in the star region.”

“But comprehending wide road laws in the star region is incredibly difficult,” Ming Kong added, glancing at Xu Fan.

“That’s why some powerful cultivators gather fragments of wide road laws in the star region and trade them for Immortal Jade.”

“The Valley of Myriad Paths is a place where many of these fragments are collected.”

After hearing Ming Kong’s explanation, Xu Fan decided to visit the Valley of Myriad Paths.

“The Grand Elder should be able to make it worth the trip,” Ming Kong said, thinking of the powerful beings Xu Fan had effortlessly defeated before.

“What do you mean by ‘make it worth the trip’? Can wide road laws be fully absorbed?” Xu Fan asked with a grin.

“I used to doubt it when people said it was possible, but after spending time with the Grand Elder, my perspective has changed,” Ming Kong replied.

“With the Grand Elder’s extraordinary talent, wouldn’t it be normal for him to drain the entire Valley of Myriad Paths?” Ming Kong joked, trying to avoid looking shocked later.

“Let’s explore the fairy city a bit more before heading to the Valley of Myriad Paths.”

Everyone nodded in agreement.

After wandering around the fairy city for a while, they found it less exciting than the Spring Blossom Merchant Association.

So, Xu Fan and the others boarded the Star Ship that shuttled between the platform and the Ancient Cang Realm, heading to the Valley of Myriad Paths.

On the Star Ship, Xu Fan watched Li Xingci as he intently studied the craft technique Xu Fan had taught him, and couldn’t help but smile with pride.

When a man starts focusing on making money, it’s a sign he’s maturing.

This saying holds true even in the cultivation world.

Li Xingci noticed Xu Fan’s gaze and sheepishly put away the reincarnation flower, which was even more dazzling than the Other Shore Flowers.

“Master, how did you come up with this technique? It’s truly amazing,” Li Xingci said in awe.

When he had asked his master for a way to earn Immortal Jade, he was given a reincarnation crossing technique.

By mastering this technique, he could trace the elusive realm of reincarnation, where a journey from mortal to true immortal would unfold for him.

“It’s just dreaming about ascending to become a true immortal. What’s so amazing about that?” Xu Fan chuckled.

“Dreaming of becoming a true immortal isn’t strange, but the wide road laws controlled by true immortals are the real deal.”

“Even after waking up, you’ll still have a faint understanding of them.”

Li Xingci hadn’t fully mastered this technique yet, but he could already sense its profound depth.

With his current level of understanding in the Path of Reincarnation, there were still some parts he couldn’t quite comprehend.

“Don’t worry about the details; what you need now is to earn money and support your family. Forget about the idea of relying on others in the future,” Xu Fan said with a chuckle.

“Master, don’t tease me! I haven’t been relying on others for long,” Li Xingci protested.

“Not long, huh?”

Xu Fan thought back, and before he became an artifact great master, his disciple had indeed been relying on others for quite some time.

“Master, let’s not focus on that. I’m suddenly having trouble understanding some parts of the Reincarnation Crossing Technique.”

Li Xingci quickly changed the subject and began asking Xu Fan for advice.

The Star Ship moved swiftly, and soon they entered the Ancient Cang Realm.

As they crossed into the Ancient Cang Realm, everyone on the Star Ship felt a wave of relief, like a swimmer finally reaching the shore.

“It’s much more comfortable in the cultivation world. In the star region, I always felt a bit restricted,” Spirit Cut remarked.

“The difference between the star region and the middle thousand worlds is how easily one can grasp the wide road,” Ming Kong explained.

“Manipulating spiritual energy in the star region is also more difficult,” Xu Fan added.

When Xu Fan was drawing source talismans in the star region, he found it noticeably harder to control the spiritual energy.

Ming Kong glanced at Xu Fan, remembering the time he used a thousand-hand illusion to draw 1,000 talismans at once.

If he tried to draw that many top-tier talismans in the middle thousand worlds, the spiritual energy around him would be completely drained.

“It’s definitely more challenging…”

In the Ancient Cang Realm, the Extreme Void Domain was referred to as the Void Domain.

Not long after entering the Ancient Cang Realm, a massive star gate appeared in the void.

“This is called the Void Teleportation Portal. It can transport you to any area with a teleportation portal node.”

“These nodes are now spread throughout the entire Ancient Cang Realm,” a welcoming cultivator explained.

Having already seen the enormous Universe Ship docking platform, the group wasn’t too impressed by the size of the Void Teleportation Portal.

“This is like having a subway system that covers the whole country,” Xu Fan thought to himself.

The Star Ship entered the preparation channel for the Void Teleportation Portal and began to queue.

“I wonder when our Feiyu Realm will reach this level,” Spirit Cut sighed.

“It’ll probably take hundreds of thousands of years. The Ancient Cang Realm has been trading with other middle thousand worlds for millions of years to achieve this,” Ming Kong said, gazing at the massive star gate in the distance.

Just the cost of creating a few Void Teleportation Portals would bankrupt the Elder Council.

“If Pang Fu were here, he’d be thrilled,” Li Xingci said.

“He’s already thrilled enough. Any more excitement and he might ascend,” Xu Fan joked.

At that moment, the Star Ship entered the Void Teleportation Portal.

It felt like they were traversing space, and in an instant, they appeared in another part of the void.

“Esteemed guests, we will land outside the Valley of Myriad Paths in half an hour.”

Hearing this announcement, Xu Fan couldn’t help but think of the high-speed trains from his previous life—equally fast and convenient.

Half an hour later, the Star Ship landed outside the nearest fairy city to the Valley of Myriad Paths.

“Grand Elder, I have other matters to attend to, so I won’t accompany you further,” Ming Kong said, not wanting to risk another setback by going to the Valley of Myriad Paths with Xu Fan.

“Go ahead. No need to stay with me,” Xu Fan replied, waving him off with a smile.

“If all goes well, let’s meet again on the Ten Thousand Star Ship in a year,” Ming Kong suggested.

Xu Fan nodded, and the two groups went their separate ways.

With a wave of his hand, Xu Fan released all the disciples from the Daoist artifact palace.

“You’re free to explore. We’ll regroup here in eleven months. If anything comes up, just call Grape.”
